I don’t really see this as anything Grunge related. To me this is just straight up Shoegaze but maybe just a heavier version of it, but Shoegaze is really a mix of Post Punk, Indie and Trip Hop you could say. I would say Shoegaze is like The Cure meets The Pixies meets Portishead. The term Grungegaze has circled around lately but again I don’t hear much Grunge in most Shoegazey type bands. The Shoegaze bands like Swervedriver, Curve, My Bloody Valentine, Lush all did get lumped in the Grunge stuff but they really weren’t Grunge. When I think of Grunge or Early Post Grunge i think Stoner Rock riffs, yarly vocals, and a very thick bluesy or sludgy tone. Some of the later Post Grunge bands did merge the sound with Alt Metal. But I mean Shoegaze is having a bit of a moment right now in the Gen Z Social Media realm right now, bands like Deftones while not Shoegaze but they do have some elements of it in their sound, as Shoegaze is more apart of that Indie, Goth fanbase and Gen Z Goths/Emo’s/and E Girls are eating all that up. The only band I can think of that has Shoegaze elements with a better actual Grunge sound would be Superheaven and their song Youngest Daughter. That song better represents Grunge meeting Shoegaze.

Grungy, shoegazy, atmospheric and some heavy ass guitars. I love it.

man that 1. song... marvelously angelic serenade!
Would love to know which song you’re meaning
It’s alright. A lot of these grungegaze bands are starting to blend together.
Believe me, there are some grungegaze bands that I just don't like at all. Two note songs with same vocal melodies don't do it for me.
