Utah gets a bad wrap. They were use to playing USC, Oregon, and Washington each year. So it was a hard transition to the Big XII. But make no mistake, they are glad and excited to be here. The Big XII is the land of opportunity. 2024 is going to be a fun year for football where several Big XII teams are going to be able to shine.
You’re the first and only sane Utah fan I’ve seen posting. 🤙
Can definitely appreciate that perspective. I think the problem is that a lot of Ute fans articulate that by shitting on B12 schools. It’s one thing to acknowledge we are lacking traditional CFB blue bloods, but calling us a truck stop conference and G5 league rubbed a lot of folks the wrong way.

B12 players, on all teams, have class and most generally are true to their word. They're loyal.
As for stadiums hard to play in, don't forget The Bill (K-State's Bill Snyder Family Stadium). After USC had lost to K-State in Manhattan, Pete Carroll said it was the loudest and most difficult stadium he had ever coached in and he doesn't want to come back. He complimented the fans on being friendly and inviting, but supported their team during the game! Since that game, K-State has added more seating and enclosed both end zones. There have been comparisons to Arrowhead as for as being load and the fans knowing when to increase the volume. Arrowhead West! EMAW

Utah fan here. Historically, Utah doesn't travel well. If they're going to lose a game, it could be OSU. But I wouldn't be surprised if they win there. Because of their awesome defense. OSU's defense was rated around 125th last year. Utah's was around 13th. The more people say they'll lose, the more Utah will focus and be ready for a brawl. That's the game I want to see for sure.
And maybe y'all will travel because its your first BIG 12 road game and it's going to play a huge role in the league standings! Will be an awesome environment.

As a Duck fan I'm excited to see this one as well. I picked Utah to win the BIG12 back when the announcement they were moving there was made. Utah doesn't get the respect they deserve nationally imo.

The good thing about the Big 12 is most of the television markets are still growing and you don't know who is going to win the league in terms of football. It is the most fun conference to bet on.

Ohio State and USC alone have had 50 five star players in just the last 10 years. That's huge.
Josh Pate is one of the rare commenters that seems to actually understand Iowa State. The loyalty between Matt Campbell and the players is something other teams can't comprehend. They are built on loyalty to each other and loyalty to the process.

Man once we start to get that full paycheck from the Big 12 almost 50mil up from 5 mil a year, it's going to be like winning the lottery. When we get our full pay , give it a couple of year with that budget- lights out!!...look at what we're doing without that money. Players are coming to us now and we can't even pay them yet.

I agree. However, we got blown out at home to s bama and lost to Texas in embarrassing fashion. We have to prove it. The hype will come if we win. It always comes down to winning. It’s hard to put faith in us when we struggle to win a b12 chip

I’d also add that there is no real significant increase in the SEC and the Big Ten that they don’t already have in terms of number of teams and schools that are going to become added to the top 25 you’re going to see the normal programs whereas the big 12 you already see four programs often ranked in the top 25 well there’s gonna be about 3 to 4 more that are gonna be knocking on that door so I think the number of ranked teams is higher in the big 12

It is America’s conference. Almost every game will be competitive down to the wire. Will you watch Ohio state vs Indiana in the 2nd half when the score is 48-0 no you won’t. You’ll be watching Oklahoma state vs West Virginia in the 2nd half with the score 28-21 to begin the 3rd quarter.
Most of the B1G is not stacked
like Ohio State or Oregon. Most of
the other likely top 15 programs
such as Penn State, Iowa, USC,
and Wisconsin are not going to boat race most of the schools they play.
@@TheLAGopher Before the BIG added those 4 schools the west division was the biggest laughing stock in power 5 football. The big 10 had a very small middle class. Wisconsin and Iowa are middle class even though I think Iowa is lower middle class. They couldn’t score at the whore house on dollar night. The Big 10 should restructure and kick out all the bottom feeders they have and then I’ll give them some respect. Even with those 4 from the PAC they have some of the worst FBS programs there are. The BIG is more top heavy than a jacked up Jeep lol.
