    "The current system is becoming more and more of an exclusionary system," said a person who had seen the "Project Rudy" deck. "If you really want to highlight the value of college football as the second-most popular sport in the US, you can't do that and disenfranchise three quarters of the membership."

    it would be interesting context to get your thoughts on B12 members and the tiers they might/could slot into. i've got no idea how each school sizes up in the media market(s).

    There is a cycling brand named “the Rudy project”. Makes great helmets and sunglasses.
    This thing is oddly named.

    The money is all about the MEDIA.....that's the bottom line. Amateur athletics is being destroyed, and College football has become a semi professional entity. CRAPOLA!!!

    If it’s 70. Then probably OSU and WSU get in. Is it down to maybe Boise St or Tulane for that last spot?

    Is this a good idea for college football???

    • @CarlaJenkinsTV

      No it's not and I'm in the Big 10 (Ohio State). This is a violation of 1890 Sherman Act (antitrust) and 14th amendment (equal protection). Remember, that colleges are schools and the 1954 Brown vs Topeka Board of Education dealt with separate but unequal in schools. That would be the same thing with the tier system.

      @@CarlaJenkinsTV I could be way off here but I feel like it's not only the tier system but also closing the door on nearly half of the current FBS schools from the opportunity to compete at the highest level ( and earnings) would also be very problematic in regards to antitrust.

      @kogo2951 Don't we do the same thing now, though, with FCS and JuCo? Would the remaining schools form their own league? Lots of questions. I've never thought of it from a constitutional standpoint. It's been mainly dealt with so subjectively for years, it's been somewhat of a monopoly as long as i can remember.

    Have you noticed that in the last 5 years, the education of a college athletes is no longer a priority? It's simply about money, money, greed, greed!? Disney is part of ESPN, so we are seeing the writing on the wall and which direction this is really going?

    1) Thing that make sense don't guide realignment
    2) IF they encourage parity rather than keeping the people on top on the top, I'd support it. But I didn't hear anything about encouraging parity.

    • @DeRochette
      @DeRochette 2 дні тому

      Parity will come about over time. Like New England was a power house, now they suck. That will happen more in college with talent being distributed more because every team will have the same access to the playoffs. Performance will dictate the post season, no more committees. No more AP influence.

      @@DeRochette I still don't like it. I think it was a mistake to officially make CFB a business. These are supposed to be amateur athletes. Many schools have done their best to keep up, but it is ridiculous now.

    • @SvdSinner
      @SvdSinner 2 дні тому +2

      @DeRochette CFB needs to give losing teams some light advantage over winning teams. In the NFL, they give the losers the first picks in the draft. CFB has been the opposite: the winners get all the advantages so a small group of teams can stay on top far longer than they should.

    Tiers are nice but we just need to keep having the Bamas, Vols, Ol' Miss losing to "lesser teams". Parity is creeping into the big 2. Slowly, but coming.

  • @JohnDry-d7z

    P5 schools have to pay little schools for games. I think save millions instead of paying G5 schools. The minimum should he 50 mil instead of 30 mil in the bottome part of the P4.

    Cal and Stanford are in the ACC b/c they’re bratty about educational status. They should be in the big 12 along w/SMU. They’re just biting themselves in the behind. IMHO.

    • @nathank556
      @nathank556 2 дні тому +1

      Why should SMU be in the Big 12? Why do you think the current conference members would want yet another Texas school? A big point of contention amongst the old Big XII (10 members) was 40% of the schools were from Texas, and thus, one state had 40% of the voting power. I don't think anybody wants that again just a few years after getting Texas down to 25% of the members.
      Also, SMU is a tiny private school for rich kids. Their small stadium is falling apart. I wouldn't mind another Big 12 home game in Dallas, but SMU just doesn't fit the conference.

    • @Mike-aka747
      @Mike-aka747 2 дні тому

      @@nathank556 I’ll tell ya. In a second I would trade Cal Stanford and SMU to the XII and give away UCF Cincy and sadly WVU(I’m sure that fanbase would go berserk though to get back regional rivals). In a nano second. It’s ridiculous for Calford to travel like this. With no true rivals. SMU would get the xii the Dallas market. Make the SMU TCU rivalry a bigger deal and why not more in Texas? Remember the old SWC. All Texas teams and Arkansas.

      @@DeRochette no invite. And those brat schools don’t want to be part of it. Let them travel thousands of miles. They’ll drain their budget someday and beg the XII on their knees for inclusion.

      @DeRochette 2 дні тому

      @Mike-aka747 from their pov, they'll take their billion research dollars and let you keep your petty football money. They only try to play football at a high level because they try to do everything at a high level.
