The struggle is real
Hauss Schelling haha. 🤣You said what I was thinking. Gear, gear and more gear.
Hauss Schelling 😂😂😂😂😂
Nice to see Cam on tutorial. Always does a great job, and makes ya want to go and try it.
Great video! Love when you guys get technical on us.
Haven’t plunked for steel in a long time. Was good times for sure.
The more I watch these vids the more that I want to start going fishing! Great vids and content as always guys!
I don't know too many anglers that plunk for steelhead.... but I know they are out there....I normally like plunking to be lazy when out chinook or high water coho.... great info for any fish your plunking for though guys... loved it
I slay the steelhead on the cowlitz late February March plunking watermelons Spin glow 3 small beads and Sand shrimp unbelievable action
When the fish are moving
This was good explanation thank you I enjoy watching you 👍
These guys are the best! Bringing back old memories on the elochomen river, man do i miss those times! The addicted crew with there u tube shows help me so much and i just want to say Thank you guys and crew! Cant wait for bouy 10 these year, got my spinfish already! Lol. Tight lines the bullship
actually chrome quest is the best in the north west
thanks for this one
Nice demo .thx
Spin-n-glo with a pink worm has been deadly here on the Umpqua. Went 10 for 14 last weekend on the lower river.
Thank you your videos are great!
Imma try this first chance I get 🎣🎣🎣
That rig set up is very killer to catch walleye
The best fishing channel.
great demonstration
I freaking need this video!!
love your video's
Grey ghost spin/glow. Killer on the Rogue.
Was plunking at the dam today with a spin & glow and a meal worm on the hook and pulled one in. Nobody else was catching anything. Sometimes it pays to switch it up 🤘
We all know that Cameron really didn't have any bait on that Rod so he wouldn't catch a fish and make Marlin feel bad.
Amazing.
I enjoy when you do videos from the bank and you should com and fish thé Skeena or dean
Plunked today and finally caught one!
Nice vid Cam. Was looking at local regs to see when i can get out next, has anyone tried steelhead in a bay? Puget Sound feeds my local rivers and has an opening so i am curious of how i might attack them.
Looks like the umpqua where I go fishing. I need to go soon!!!
Looks like a local river I know
Wow great little tutorial on plunking! Can you also plunk weightless?? Maybe just add a few split shots on top of your spin glow and then a hook and bead? That might also work. Who knows. 🤣 Great video as always!!
This is the first video I have seen from your company. I really enjoyed it especially since I have never fished for steelhead but would like to do that. You offer a very well done video presentation. I found myself watching your rod tip in case you got a bite. Where are you located? Tight lines.
I just caught my first steelhead on a tiny nymph crazy! I had all my gear that day also spinners plugs eggs now I wanna catch one off spinner gear but it seems harder
I am thinking of upper Columbia/Roosevelt trout fishing and how to apply these techniques, slower, lighter and spin n glow. Stay tuned!
YAHHH plunking is hella good time Dibley beach Rainier Or.
Same thing on the Washington side near county line!
I'm allowed three poles here I usually setup 2 and cast with one. The river we fish is like 14'-45'.deep depending on the section fishing. Very strong current. We use 2 pound weight to keep our gear from bouncing down the river. Im not a huge fan on that weight and wear and tear on my reel and it takes from the fight of the fish. And 99 percent of the time "tight lining" is a mortal hook up on the fish. So if I do setup like that I'm going there expecting food on my plate for a couple days. If I want to catch and release I'll only take my lighter gear for casting or bouncing or whipping
How many here keep switching from watching him and watching the rod tip?
this works tie on a roe bag or a small pink marshmellow bang your on !!
Will system work in salt water, Bush point, Whidbey Island
Can I do that set up with a shrimp or roe bag with floaters in it ? Also do I need a bead chain ? ❤😊 I’m kinda new to this
Doing this near Portland on the Columbia, what would the leader length or dropper line need to be increased?
Could u add a bead right behind the slide and add a plug?
Great video Cameron.
One question, some use a 3 way swivel and drop their weight about one ft. You prefer slider above the swivel? Why?
I would answer this as saying this is more of a east coast technique. You can literally put the clicker on and have your reel in freespool and the fish swims away with the bait and feels no resistance. Thus allowing more time to set the hook. I would add that I would switch to a barbless circle if possible depending on your local regs to allow a easier hook set and doesn’t hurt this fish if needed to release and you never really lose a fish if you have the correct size hook.
Can you recommend a rod to me for float fishing for fall/spring chinook in rivers?
7-10 foot spinnng or centerpin reel 10lb. mono
yes, this rig is great when is 30 below degree weather because you won't deal with frozen eye in your rods
My man here better not have associated braid with abrasion resistance... fluoro is abrasion resistant, braid will get frayed and cut super fast on rocks lol
What size weight should I use
How do I keep my line from fouling up?
You guys should show how to run a double rig setup with a spin and glo and a plug....that setup has been deadly for me.
you forgot the bell
Can you plunk in high water with spinning rod? Recommendations for rod & reel?
Oh yeah! I can't give a good suggestion for the best rod/reel, but anything heavy enough to safely cast the weight you are using. If you are gentle you can cast over the limit by a little.
Since we are worried about gut hooking would a circle hook work?
Can you do it without lead weights since it's a high probability of losing it? That's a lot of lead you are poisoning the water with
try a big metal something.
Kokanee videos and how too please
What river is this
Never saw a fisherman wearing gloves to handle bait/sprays is this an OCD thing or are these bait/sprays toxic or ?
keeps human scent/oils off the bait. Might help increase your bites maybe
I have watched a few of your video's and I don't see many fish on ? I can send You some of Mine with Fish. Also I don't have any Sponsors to support Me just the fish. I fish the MIDDLE ROGUE.
"we'd love to have you as a sub"
If no fish is caught in the video I assume it doesn't work
You know what they say about assumptions...
Those darn steelhead won't read the script.
2.5K comments I wonder who forwarded this to the ATF lol
Ohhhhh he dropped a river name beat his a$$ LMAO 🤣 jk
Braided lines??? Nose pickers!
What’s that lure called
where s the fish.... lol....
I think you guys give great tips and I really don't mean any offense, but why aren't you showing us that your rigging and techniques actually work by showing a couple hook up's? I feel like you're advice is great but it's missing the reason why I watch fishing videos.
Lots of their other videos actually show catching and not just fishing.Check out their whole channel.
A tutorial is more convincing when there’s a catch included with it. I know that this rig works well though.
You guys use rubber gloves? :(
your shipping fees are to damm high
dlmad4561 What we’re the charges? What we’re you trying to order?
Everything made sense but e braided line...I’m speaking from experience don’t use it..tangles way to much ..25lbs maxima mono slays 10ft 6 set up
Is anyone else realize that he didn’t catch a fish?
Oh he didn’t catch a fish every single time? No way. We should sue
If the fish are there they will bite anything ? Never used these dyes ? Junk !
Man that rig is so complicated how about just throw a maribou jig n be done w it...
Too much yacking. This is the most boring way to catch steelhead.
