    Great content for us with port injection. Im also running an aic6 with lsa injectors from a supercharged camaro. Not seeing any issues but not running it fully turned up. Might have my injectors tested before i do now that i see this video.

      I have those LSA injectors in my 17T car. The genuine bosch versions were so cheap. Anyway, i think it probably something worth getting checked every couple of years. Especially if you can find a decent shop to do the flow test and cleaning. A lot of shops will charge a flat reconditioning fee and replace orings and give you print outs etc. Which is overkill. You just wanna know they flow similar with in 2-3% and then clean if needed.

      Sorry just to get this clear you put injectors from an LSA into ur n54 and it worked?
      and if so how did you code the injectors to work in the car? Please let me know if it’s possible, because It’s easier for me to get my hands on some LSA injectors compared to getting some index 12’s

      @@wallyj56 The LSA injectors are in the port injection rail, i still run the index 12's on the direct injection side. To get your head around it, you will need to look up how people run port injection on these things. Actually someone did do a video on that as well...... ua-cam.com/video/TegEnwOXi_g/v-deo.html&t

    I use lucas upper cylinder lube and injector cleaner in my N54 from supper cheap.Wait for a sale to buy.1 big bottle lasts for ages.Car runs really well,and its good to know that injectors are well lubed,kept clean etc.👍

    Purchase your own sonic cleaner and injector flow bench to clean injectors after driving if sitting for more than a few days there cheap on eBay

    I'm sure this has been talked about before, just remind me, why is port Injection preferred so heavily over DI?

      port injection is cheap, easy to service, easy to tune and increase flow rates, low pressure (vs high pressure of DI), sprays the intake valves to do self cleaning

      I have done a little bit of reasearch in to cleaning the direct injectors. Im sure its possible, but can't find much useful info on it. Flow testing them is pretty hard at the mo.

      @@ZeroTo60Tube I tried everywhere in Brisbane to get my DI injectors cleaned and tested but no one can do the testing because of the high pressure that is required. Some said I would have to send them to Sydney but didn't say who to.

      Ian where i went said he can test the common rail diesel ones and he should be able to fire the n54 ones, but can only generate about 3000psi with his tester. also he can't clean them.

    Cylinder 2 was breaking spark plugs. Literally figured out it was bad injector failed after 1 month. Got kit from mmp they state official bosch injectors come with the kit they did not. Didn't think anything of it until now lol. Don't get the mmp kit

      Dont tell anyone but it was stories online from the early MMP kit injectors leaking that got me first worried about the state of the PI injectors last year. Had 2 sets for my 17T car, before i found a good genuine bosch set. To add some more useful info i should have mentioned in the vid. Most port injectors run at 35-50psi fuel pressure. A PI only motor doesnt need any more fuel pressure. Where our N54s run them at 65-90PSI and that extra pressure often causes problems with the cheaper injectors.

      After swapping all injectors, port injection no longer works. This sucks I checked grounds and power.

      The ali injectors i had were great at 40psi. But at the 60-80psi we run our LPFP system at they would leak.

    I’ve seen some injector cleaners on Amazon. Are they any good? I would rather get the machine and do the cleaning and leak tests on my own. Thanks in advance!!

      Yes absolutely. If I didn’t have access to this machine I would definitely buy one. Make sure you can get the cleaning fluid locally.

    Great vid! I’ve got a black smelly plug cyl 4 that came out of my N54, only got 60k on it and they are all index 4, can I just replace that one injector with an index 10 or would I need to replace all 3 in that bank? Want to keep the cost down and not do all of them for 2k+.
    Only running stage 1+, appreciate the advice.

      you can replace one injector but don´t forget to code the new flow and current values.

      David + Nikita is correct. I have seen plenty with miss matched index injectors, that run absolutely fine. However when it comes time to wind it up and push the HPFP system, injex 12s are the way to go.

    Im running a double nozzle meth setup on charge pipe with a precision single turbo 6266 on a stock internals N54 pushing 26 psi.. what are your thoughts.. power is great but beyond 26psi i don't think its safe on the engine

      It may be absolutely fine, depends on timing targets in regards to how safe.
      But definitely prefer Pi….. if you have access to e85.

      @@ZeroTo60Tube no pump E85 in kuwait.. its sold in VPfuel metal tanks by performance shops ($100 us per 19 liters).. as for my tune.. using bms From N54tech backend jb4 ST flash.. timings in logs are between 5 and 7 degrees

      At that price for e85, meth injection is a good option. My tuner said if if you're looking to push for high power using meth as an octane booster, port meth injection is the way to go. Snow have a meth port injection plate and there are other options available too for PMI.

      ​@@theferociousone That's relatively gentle timing, you will be safe ( if thats a things). Shame e85 is so expensive you would be able to push 10-12deg with e85 which would net a whole lot more power. We are so lucky having it at the pump here.
