All the landing troops were all briefed once boarded to help secrecy, the Airborne element was briefed just prior to boarding their aircraft for the same reason. If you've seen Private Ryan, on the beach at the sea wall, Sgt Horvath and Captain Miller are looking at a map in one scene to get their bearings using the town of Vierville to identify the correct exit. In other words they were briefed prior to landing to identify Vierville once landed to get their bearings and open the right exit off the beach.

no British Soldiers was the driver with the Omaha Beach landers, flamethrowers were used to clear out bunkers, and I saw an M14 as a sniper rifle, M14s weren't produced till the Vietnam War do you even have any 1903 Springfields? (yes 1903 Springfields were still used in WW2 by snipers)
