    Impressive achievement.
I heard from a survival at radio, at the 75th anniversary of the D-day, that there were loads of hit soldiers after descending from the ships. The ones that followed the previous ones had to dive into the red bloody water.
That must have been tough on the morale. RIP to all those brave men.

Not even "Saving Private Ryan" got the anti boat blockades correct! So well done you on doing your research. They did infact face the way you have them so the boat would lift up unlike in the movie where they face the other way.

Beautifully painted, though it suffers from over weathering. The vehicles would be freshly painted so shouldn't have rust on them. The bullet holes in the casements shouldn't have dirty runnoff as the holes are fresh. The men, especially their boots should show water staining. Otherwise looks fantastic.

EXCELLENT VIDEO. NOW THATS DEDICATION TO HISTORY, KNOWLEDGE, CRAFT, HOBBY AND ENTHUSIASM. Many museums are probably looking at this video and thinking, can he/ she do something for us, to put a historical point across to give a visitor a visual understanding of happenings from the past. ALSO, A POINT I WOULD LIKE TO MAKE WHICH MAY OR MAY NOT HAVE ANY RELEVANCE TO THIS VIDEO. TO HAVE A HOBBY IS NOT BORING. NO MATTER HOW YOUNG, OLD YOU ARE, IF YOU LIKE DOING THINGS IN YOUR SPARE TIME AND ITS NOT ILLEGAL, DO IT. THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE ARE TOLD NOT TO HAVE A HOBBY OR INTEREST IN THINGS BECAUSE THE PEOPLE WHO THEY ARE ASSOCIATED WITH CANT STAND BEING ALONE. Scenario: “Here John, fancy coming out with the boys for a few drinks and fun afterwards? NOT TODAY BUT IM OKAY FOR TOMORROW. “Come on. Don’t be an antisocial nerd, you freak. Come out and enjoy “. ITS GOOD TO HAVE FUN BUT KNOW WHEN TO MAKE TIME FOR YOURSELF TO BE CREATIVE. HAVE FUN PEOPLE AND BE CREATIVE. Even in retirement, HAVE SOMETHING TO DO. NOT JUST SIT AND WATCH THE WORLD GO BY. People have retired from our office and sadly a certain pattern developed over the last twenty years of people who left at retirement age and were dead within seven years of leaving. These guys and girls left at sixty and sixty five but only knew about work. They never had an interest or hobby to keep their mind and body active. SO LIVE AND ENJOY.

Of the American designated beaches (Omaha and Utah) the one with the most casualties was Omaha Beach.
Including the British and Canadian designated Sword, Juno and Gold beaches plus the two American beaches, it's a poignant fact that a single US training exercise on the Channel (the south coast of England) lost at least 750 Americans dead, which was more than most beaches had on D-Day itself.
The exercise was the infamous Slapton Sands 'Exercise Tiger' disaster that happened when a flotilla of USN landing ships was attacked by a group of German Schnell Boots (E Boats/S Boats) armed with torpedoes, mines, depth charges and 2cm/3 cm guns and machine guns.

What a bloody day that was. The only thing you got wrong was the absence of bodies, wounded and blood all over the sand and in the water, the water at the beach had a red tint to it and there were bodies everywhere. So many Americans died in such a small area it was surreal and can only be imagined and I doubt it can be made modeled so it looked realistic. Had a destroyer not disobeyed orders and sailed in close to shore and pounded the German positions with direct fire the day at least for the American Omaha sector would have been a failure.

You don't improve yourself if you ignore criticism.

Jokokouille but you should ignore it when people criticise you for, amongst other things, a lack of blood which is not what that kind of diorama is about. You have to judge things in their proper context.

Looks great, but if I had to critique one thing, it would be the impact in the water. Really excellent diorama!

@@steelangeling This bunker could not be used. This is a Polish machine gun bunker. It is designed for flanking fire. The structure is located almost two meters underground and three meters above the ground. How he ended up in France, how he fell, where the underground part and the wall in front of the entrance disappeared, is a mystery to me. This is how he looked in life. Polesie line.

Richard Jones styrofoam works well for such things. You see some examples of the use and techniques in this video. I’m sure there is more in depth videos you can search and find here on UA-cam. I love to use styrofoam in my designs because it’s cheap, not to hard to learn how to use, and keeps my projects weight down.

Прекрасная работа. Видно что автар постарался. Боюсь представить сколькотвремени потрачено! Только одно замечание: во время высадки были большие потери. Многие людей было ранено и убито. Добавьте кровь на пляж и в воду.
