Happy St. Patrick’s Day! While this is not a St. Patrick’s Day special, per se, many of the stars featured in this video are of Irish descent. Who are some of your favorite Irish stars?
Hollywood Graveyard thank u for doing it on Saturday
Hollywood Graveyard I hope you have a great day
You just made my day thank you
Hollywood Graveyard you looked so cute
Maureen O'Hara was marvellous.
Bob Hope bought me and our singer a drink in a Orlando hotel bar in the eighties and talked to me for our entire break. He seemed like great person and that is a night I will never forget.
I am from San Fernando Calif, my brother is married to Richie Valens niece. San Fernando Mission is Beautiful.. 💚
Gloria Jean does your niece have pictures of him ??
Oh that’s cool wtf !!
I just watched La Bamba again for the first time since I saw it in the cinema and I`ve spent all day watching clips about Richie and his music and short life, he will live on forever thanks to the songs he left for us to enjoy.

No way
A year after Bob Hope died I was working customer service for MCI. I took a call from the wife of a writer for Bob Hope. During our conversation, she told me he'd leave messages on her husband's voicemail trying out new jokes, which she now has the tapes safely secured. She also says he was not 100 years old, but 102. Back in the day when starting in show business several actors would fudge their age. Interesting tidbit.
That tidbit about the age is very likely true. I've heard about some actors who did fudge the info on their birthdates to get roles in movies and shows. I bet it still happens today. I bet Bob finds it funny that HE got the last laugh and got away with having the wrong birthdate on his tombstone!
I know the Talmage sisters have wrong birth years on the name plates of their crypts.
Ritchie Valens, 17 years old. What a tragic loss.
The movie was good, but the Filipino Mix actor LOU DIAMOND PHILLIPS just doesn't look ANYTHING like the Mexican Richardo 'RICHIE VALENS' Valenzuela. Sorry, but if they could do it all over again, get somebody huskier with a square face!
Perhaps Lou was the nearest they could get? Good film though.
😭😭😭🙏🙏
Ritchie Valens was only 17?
I am only 54.years old I listen to Richie valens music on panda.
Fun story: I read scripts for production companies in the 1990’s. One day I was headed up an elevator on Wilshire Blvd in the Beverly Hills area. A man got in the elevator and I was SURE I knew his face but couldn’t place him for the life of me. As he got out it hit me. My face lit up when I realized who he was as he stepped out and said, “Got you.” It was Bob Hope. Genius.
I 💗Ritchie! His mom was buried beside him when she died of cancer.
I spent many an afternoon with Bob Hope as my wife was his personal secretary for some years before his passing. I feel very honored to have gotten to know him and personally Thank him for his dedication to our troops in the military. He provided me with a copy of my favorite Bob Hope movie, "Ghost Breakers."
Awww. Ritchie Valens, now there was a tragedy poor lad.
Really pleased you visited his grave. 👍
Ritchiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiie!
I wasn't even born when he died but I love his music and the movie. He was taken to young
Yeah it would of been nice to hear that Donna was his biggest hit
Ritchie Valens was a great singer for his age he was very talented he died way to young and to soon at the time he died before I was even born in 1975 he maybe gone but his spirit lives on and his music. Iam 45 years old and I love his music better than today's music god bless you Ritchie Valens may soul rest in peace sweet prince of rock and roll fly high to the angels and play for god and the angels in the heavens.
Christi Simmons yeah, he was good. Too bad we couldn’t see what he could have done.
Ritchie Valens really has a beautiful gravemarker. It's sweet that he shares it with his mother, too. An incredible musician taken _waaay_ too soon. =(
I'm curious if you've featured Yvette Vickers ("Attack of the Giant Leeches," "Attack of the 50 Ft. Woman" and "Hud"). She had one of the most depressing endings I can think of; being found in her house about a year _after_ she had died. =(
I remember watching the movie "La Bamba" when I was a kid. I was very surprised when my dad told me it was a true story. My uncle, who works in aviation, still blames the poor design of Buddy's plane for their deaths. If you watch the film, the plane had a distinctive V-shaped tail. It is dangerous as it sometimes couldn't produce adequate lift in flight and several crashes were blamed on the design. Plane companies did away with it shortly after. What my uncle told me only makes their deaths more tragic because I'll always wonder: could the tragedy have been prevented? The deaths of Ritchie Valens and Buddy Holly saddened so many that it was forever known as "the day the music died."
I remember the Ask A Mortician video about Yvette Vickers, that was a sad way to go, it's actually one of my fears, dying alone.
My father is buried right across Ritchie Valens. Their best one yet!
May your father Rest In Peace
Amazing Whats His Name
As a kid, the Bob Hope movies came on tv on Saturdays. My parents would stop whatever they were doing to watch them. I would sit in the floor and crack up. His quick whit and humor in the face of danger made a huge impression on me.
I just wish a cable channel would buy your series and pay you BIG bucks to make these episodes. They’re WONDERFUL!!! I love every single one of them.
A and E network. Should make you a offer. People would watch this every week.
I liked when you visited Ritchie Valens. He was one of my favorite singers. I liked all his songs. It's so sad he died so young. It would have been great if he was in the movie Coco like other musicians. Rest in peace Ritchie Valens you will never be forgotten.
Thank you so much for this! My grandmother is also buried at the Mission; she was never famous, but she loved meeting celebrities and I think it would please her to know she was among such good company.
I was also pleasantly surprised to learn that William Frawley was buried here as well! I am a huge fan of I Love Lucy, and to think he was there all that time. I will have to pay him a visit next time I visit my Nana's grave. Thank you again for this informative piece of San Fernando history!
Ritchie .....poor boy....legend forever....Rip....💕💕💕
My dad went to high school w/ Ritchie Valens (RIP) at San Fernando High, was at his funeral. He and his classmates were all shocked and saddened! Well done video, keeping it bookmarked for future reference!!
Bob Hope was a wonderful, very charitable, and generous man. He cared very much about our troops. I have a lot of respect for him. Thank you for allowing me to pay my respects to him through this video. I truly appreciate all of your hard work.
Rest In Peace Ritchie Valens. May 13, 1941- February 3, 1959
My Favorite musician of all time, Ritchie Valens, Its because of him that Im playing guitar and singing and making people dance and I owe it all to him, His Music and his Voice, And even though he died 41 years before I was born I owe him a lot, Thankyou Ritchie I hope to visit his grave site one day
He was 17 and died in 1953
orryx 1959

Ritchie was a bright star that shine for 17 years i had a crush on Ritchie and it simply broke my heart when he died and it's still broken 💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔
Thank you for this video. I also am from San Fernando. This video is full of sweet memories of my family. My grandma was raised in Hollywood and loved all those old movies. She adored Bob Hope. And my mom worked at the Mission in the 70s. I love LA and miss that time. Thank you for the history lesson.
My favorite actor remembered here is Bob Hope. Not only was he very funny, but as a Vietnam vet I really respect his many travels around the world to visit and perform for our military. During Vietnam he actually came under fire. I really miss him. Thanks Bob, for the memories and God bless.
Feels like this video really celebrates the life and contributions of these folks. Good job!
I remember Bob Hope's joke about his friend who was REALLY rich "He invested in General Electric back when it was General Candle."
I like these videos. Because you learn something about people that you didn't know before.
Sparky 1998 It is amazing that he includes so many old movie posters, I remember these on the walls outside movie theatres when I was a kid in the forties, my cousin and I did all kinds of crazy things to earn money for the movies all of 12 cents back then, but that was a lot of money for a kid back then 25 cents bought a movie, a drink, and a box of popcorn
Hi. I am old enough to remember all this people and their work. It makes me happy that you enjoy learning about people and things gone by. I think you'll find it makes you richer.
@@psefti I agree ! ! was a kid in the forties also and i am so amazed at things that i did not now about a lot of these entertainers! I still am heavy into music, movies, and current events at 76! I wish we could go back in time! stay safe !
My mom was a kid in that era as well. She told me about movie prices back then.
I agree.
Love Bob Hopes resting place. What a beautiful place.
12 Angry Men is a terrific movie. Ed Begley along with 11 other stars gave terrific performances. If you haven't seen it.......see it. It is a film that should be on everyone's movie bucket list.
Excellent video Arthur.
18:34 always loved how Chuck Connors would look at you like “ yea that just happened” lol
Chuck Connors played Pro Baseball, Basketball, and Acted too Wow
Thanks for showing the final resting place of so many persons who left such legacies. I especially appreciate your kind words about Ritchie Valens who died far too soon. I'll always wonder what additional musical memories he would have left for us to enjoy.
Very appreciative you treated Mr. Hope with the respect and grandeur he deserves.
Bob Hope was certainly a man of hope to many in the military.Tony has spoken.
I'm military orphan, wife and retired we loved Bob Hope
Always respectful and well done. Very much appreciate the good work and time you put into these.
Lots of great stars interred there. Bob Hope should be remembered not just for his on screen work but his support of the USO and US military. Great to see William Frawley, Michael Maltese, and Chuck Connors final resting places. Thanks for your research and hard work on these videos. Good stuff.
I truly enjoy your videos, so much history in cemeteries! Hello from Texas
My sister in law is buried there in 06, never knew that many stars were buried there besides Ritchie Valens 🙏🏼
I love you Cemetery videos. I thank you for being so respectful to the graves.
Wow! This tour was rich with visits to very special entertainers. I laughed and cried and appreciated every one of them. Thank you. 💐
R.i.p Chuck Connors "The Rifleman" i remember watch you with my dad as a kid he loved his westerns..
Great video and you show respect for them all. ..subbed..
This video reminds us..."no matter who you are and what you do we know what will eventually happen to you".
I know this cemetery well. My father worked there for almost twenty years from around 1960 to the late 70's.
Thank you for featuring San Fernando Mission. My Mom is buried there and I never knew how many Stars besides Ritchie Valens and William Frawley are at rest there! Your videos are great history lessons as well as highly entertaining! Please look into Mountain View Cemetery in the Pasadena area. Lots of history there.
I knew about Ritchie and his mother I had no idea about any other celebrities especially William frawley omg
He has done mountain view....
I happened upon your channel by accident and I must say I love what your doing. Each video is jam packed with info on not just famous stars but really notable and interesting people. Thank you so much for sharing the backstory on Hollywood's greatest talent.
My mom had a crush on Chuck Connors back in the day... she's 87 years old now. ❤
Well don't tell her this but he was kind of an asshole I new one of his boys and he wasn't the father on the rifleman that's for sure .
I'm addicted to your channel!.You do an outstanding job with information and you give the deceased respect.I hope you have plenty of Reese's piece's with you on your travels!.We have them here in Australia and my mum, daughter and brother love them.
I'm enjoying life; but so glad that I took time out to visit this tour! Thanks for the lovely memories of greats and stars! I totally enjoyed it! 👍🎬⭐⭐👍🎬🌹🎬⭐⭐
Thank you Arthur. Your the best! I really admire your respect for the deceased and all the reasearch and hard work you do.! You always make my day with your series! You are a gem! Look forward to the next next tour!!... as always.
This was amazing. I have a lot of family buried here. The Navy brought me to the East Coast where I live now, but this brought back so much nostalgia for me - especially seeing inside the mission again.
Xlnt narration and images!!! A+++ for the history, background music, and overall creativity of this presention of yours!! From 12:28-12:56, that is hilarious, Donald Duck meeting his human voice!!
Greetings from Australia . Really enjoy these graveyard tours .
This is so well done. Thank you for taking the time. Please make this a regular series.
Wonderful episode, Mr. Dark! Thank you for your hard work on these!
I clicked on this video to see this California mission. I was gladly surprised at how interesting this whole video is, great job! Also, the tree in beginning of video is an Olive tree. Oh and I love Bob Hope too!
Bob Hope was such a legend but he’s becoming forgotten to a new generation.
Thank you for covering this cemetery. Much of my family is buried there, and many more of us will likely call this our final resting place.
I’m
So excited to watch this!
I have to say that you are one of the best on you tube. Every production is well done and in good taste. Hope to see more.
Yes !!
thomas sant and his channel is not even that old either. One of those hidden gems 💎
Wow I live right by this cemetery. Both my grandparents are interred there too. I only knew of Ritchie Valens but didn't realize there was so many other stars, and I never visited the Mission grounds either. When this lockdown is all over, first thing i'mma do--thank you for posting this :)
You just made my entire weekend! We love you Arthur. 😊🖤
Another video very well done! Made my weekend! I wouldblikebto add that Clarence Nash was also the voice of Huey, Dewy and Louie as well as Figaro the cat in Pinocchio and the original voice of Daisy. Amazing guy!
Also, William Bendex also played Chester A Riley on the Life of Riley Radio show before the tv show! Like most sitcoms of the era it began on radio and transferred into t.v.
Another fact is the sitcom "Married with Children" is loosely based off of "The Life Of Riley" , although Peg's character is very different between the two, Al on "Married with Children" and Chester on "The Life Of Riley" are quite similar!
"What a revolting development this is!"
- Chester A Riley (William Bendex)
Oh and Clarence Nash also voiced Herman the duck on the Burns and Allen radio show! Aurther, if you like the t.v. sitcom you should listen to the radio version! Take care!
I so enjoy your Grave Yard Tours. Your professionalism, and all of your back story to all these forgotten stars!! I personally want to say thanks!!!
Married to the same person for 70 years wow
Thank You for this. I lived about 5 miles from there for 30 years but never visited. Your videos are among the best-produced on the internet.
You learn something new every time you watch these videos! Thank you! Mr.Dark
Thanks Arthur!!!! Clarence Nash was MY FAVORITE!!!! What a GREAT Donald Duck!!!!
It is good that people still respect the dead
Thanks for doing this cemetery, such a beautiful cemetery I love Ritchie Valens music, another great video can't wait for the next one
A very nicely done tour! Three of my favorites laid to rest here are Ritchie Valens, Michael Maltese and Clarence Nash. Thank you so much for sharing.
What an Eye-Opener! I knew about the San Fernando Mission Cemetery as I had been researching the life of Chuck Connors but, before seeing this Video I never knew that this is the resting place of so many individuals that have contributed to the Entertainment business. The names of so many are familiar and in one way or another have made their historical mark in society. Thanks for this Video
Very nicely done! You fielded a lot of areas and gave a great example of each person in various forms of media from posters, sound clips, film and trivia! It's very nice and appreciated to see the care and respect you've given to these fine folks, who one way or another made us entertained! You've made them alive again (or introduced) to this audience and have made what every entertainer wants.. To be remembered! Thank you!
Donald Duck is my favorite!! Thanks for sharing!
How great to see all the old. Talented stars and the it was so interesting Faces and named I knew and had the pleasure meeting In looking forward to seeing Mario Lanza snd Dom Del Louise. So much talent so many memories THANKS

Rosie the Rose Girl wowwwwww

I feel same way
Always a pleasure! Thank you for sharing your video! 🍀
Arthur, I always enjoy your videos, learn a lot, and I like to remember those who have past on before me. I also liked how you shared your home video at the end, that was cool. Keep making these, and I'll keep watching. Cheers.
Ahhh without Clarence Nash no Donald Duck. May he still rest in peace! Another fine video, Hollywood Graveyard! Keep up the good work!
These are great videos. It brings attention to people that are long forgotten, or just not often thought about. Their legend needs to live on, and you're doing a great job in doing your part. Btw, I'm in the mid-west (Iowa), and we still have Hardee's. lol. they were bought out by Carl's Jr., but they kept the hardee's name here (but the Carl's Jr. menu).
Neat want visit Iowa sometime..this was little sad to me but very nicely done wasnt it?!!
Excellent episode. I love how you take us to graves of people who may not be so famous, but are so interesting none the less.
The Hope family really lived long lives.
My husband saw him perform when he was at war.
You do such a great, respectful, and informative job with these productions. Thank you for your research and hard work. Great Job!
As always, a first rate and professionally done video. Excellent information and exceptionally informative.
Adoro seu canal! Muita informação de grandes atores e atrizes. Bom trabalho! !!😉
Wow Arthur...From Hardees Birthday home flicks to becoming a "graveyard smash". Nice progression!
Gloria Talbott, bless her heart. She co-starred in the adorable comedy "We're No Angels" with Humphrey Bogart.
Loved her in "All That Heaven Allows" and in the 1950's Disney TV show "Zorro."

Richard Loo was a good actor. The Man with the Golden Gun was Christopher Lee's James Bond movie -he was Ian Fleming 's step cousin.
This episode was really good, d.d. and bob hopes tribute, and hey aurthur-Hardees is still around in selected states, lol🍔🍟🍦
Love your presentations mate. Always interesting and professionally produced.
John Van Druten was Mum's cousin. You gave him a couple of sentences in your tour, but I think his "Bell Book and Candle" which later became the TV series "Bewitched" is the most remembered work by Americans of my generation.
it is also a wonderful film with Jimmy Stewart & Kim Novak ... also a very young Jack Lemmon & Elsa Lanchester ....
It was very interesting May you guys R.I.P 🙏🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹 you guys are still big stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🌹🌹🌹🌹
Right they are still entertaining us..! By the way y'all...✔ out Bob Hope in Ghost Busters" w Paulette Gooddard.and scen w Ruchard Carlson on board ship docking describing zombies "sometimes you see them walking at nite on Island ...w no brain & dead eyes " Bob says" oh u mean a Democrat"!!?? ...think that was ablibed..haha..think Carlson almost lost it.........
Another stellar episode Mr. Dark 👌
That was great! I grew up in the valley (North Hollywood) and I knew Richie was there but I did not know that Bob Hope and William Frawley were there. I live in Lake Havasu now but the next time I am in LA I will definitely go there and visit. Thank you.
How cute you as little boy 😊 ..... Great video i never wanted it to end thanks for sharing xo
Living Doll was one of the most memorable Twilight Zone episodes for me.
I dug it but the tripping down the stairs on the doll with it flying up in the air was kind of flubbed in the way they portrayed it. Poor KOJAK!
Oh my gosh when saw this little clip flood of memories came bk! My older sister and i saw this & flipped out so scary to the day we dont care for dolls ..!!lol😟😊😊
U made my day with Bob Hope..
The Donald Duck bit and the March Hare are just perfect you do such a wonderful job on these!
