I caught the last half live and just watched the first half. What a treat to see your sketchbook! Thanks so much!
Lindsay! I LOVED watching your sketchbook tour! You give me so much joy and inspiration! You are an amazing artist and teacher❤️
Beautiful sketchbook tour! I love every page. The hand with measuring tape is perfect! Thanks for sharing with us!
Missed the live but enjoyed watching anyway.
Enjoyed the sketchbook tour. Thanks Lindsay
This was so fun to go through. Loved recognizing some of the older pics. I’ve had that amethyst ring video in my “watch later” list for ages! Gorgeous!
I am so glad you are doing flip throughs. I've been looking forward to this for years as I always loved the little peeks you gave. You are a wonderful artist xxx
I did not see this live, but still enjoyed it so very much! The hand with the measuring tape is really terrific,
but they are all great! What talent!!
That Fabriano sketchbook was a real walk down memory lane, is the macaroons the one that had the wonky pencil ✏️ 😂 that was a funny crooked pencil ✏️
I love your watercolours, can’t. Wait to watch the watercolour month live page through
Hello Lindsay and all from East Texas.
WOW! This makes me cry so cool! That one with the pattern as the prompt was my favorite but I love all of the flowers! Maybe you can start giving us prompts and we can create something as we interpret it? That would be fun!
Agree ^^^ drawing prompts are my best friends 😂 especially when I can't think of anything else
Had to catch you on replay. My son came for a visit and also gave me a gift card for craft supplies. We had a great visit before he went to take his wife and 5 children swimming!
Happy father's day! Im glad you had a good visit:)
Your sketchbook is so beautiful. You are such an amazing artist. Loved going through your sketchbook with you!
Thank you Lindsay for the nice tour!! 🥰🥰
Missed the live. Loved seeing the sketchbook!
This was very cool - thank you! It was good to see 'Mindless' and 'Pattern' (again? I feel like I'd seen one or both before), which are my favorites in this book. I think it'd admirable the examples that you are setting for others: (1) you show the work that's amazing, as well as the stuff that didn't meet your goal, demonstrating that no one churns out perfection 100% of the time, and no one should expect that to be the case; and (2) that you talk about following other UA-cam tutorials, or sitting on the couch to sketch and practice without the intent to film, because even as skilled as you are you're still working to be even better. These are just good lessons to share with others, whether it's in art or any other endeavor. Thanks for what you do.
Thank you for sharing your sketch book. Beautiful. Can be a brave thing to do. I loved seeing it! 💖 from Devon, England
Lindsay I love this sketch book tour ❤️ Almost all of them are truly works of art! So reflective of your style and oozing with life and personality!
Thanks!
Boy! I sure did enjoy this flip-through! Your art is so stunning and such an inspiration to me. Thanks for sharing?
Beautiful sketch book Lindsay! You are very very talented. Thank you for sharing
Lovely book! The books are very fun to see.
This was so fun to watch! Thanks for the amazing tour!
So glad you posted this. Missed the line stream.
Love them all but my favorite one was the hand with the measuring tape. Enjoyed this while folding clothes. Thanks for sharing.
The amethyst ring is my favorite 😻
Albatross Day; June 19th - 1st ever! Yours are cool - mine ok... The Gapalogos Albatross are amazing. Your sketchbook is perfect :) On a hike during the live stream - thanks for uploading
I'm your biggest fan since you started
This was fun to watch, thanks Lindsay!
Beautiful art!! I think every sketchbook I own has at least one upside down page LOL
😄
Love to see other peoples sketchbooks. I’m a little like you in that I work over several sketchbooks at any one time. I use sketchbooks for practice, do lots more drawing, charcoal, graphite, pastel. But I’m extremely consistent with mixed media Art journaling. Hope you’ll do this again soon.
Watching on replay!!!
That was so fun. You always astonish me. More please!
I missed the live, but watched it on replay. Your paintings are wonderful. TFS
What a wonderful sketch book! It's definitely a keeper! Thank you for sharing! ♥️🥀🦋🌼🤟💋
Awe I missed the live , watching the replay , fun video xoxo
Missed the live. Loved the sketches!
Aww man. I missed the live stream. It still took me almost 3 hours to watch afterwards. Making dill potato salad and from scratch boston baked beans. I'm using the instapot so I don't get the house hot. It's much cheaper to make them from scratch but takes time. I would rather put in the work and save my pennies for future art supplies. Lol. I wonder if my sketchbook will ever be as beautiful as yours Lindsay. Right now it's 50/50 disasters to ok.🤪💜 Thanks Lindsay. You are an inspiration always.🥰
That actually a good ratio!
I love most of your pictures x beautiful x
That lollipop was watercolor i remember that one I remember painting it as well wow seems so long ago now
Hello from Jasper Alberta Canada
Lol... the end thou. Shameless plug, awkward end. So Lindsay! Love it. Thanks for sharing your sketchbook.
I missed this live! Love watching these types of videos (well to be honest I watch pretty much all your videos lol)
I appreciate it!
Perfect timing. I caught the tail end if this while I was making soup so I listened along. We ended at yhe same time and now I can rewatch from the beginning. Thanks for yhe info on Paul Reubens, I may get their metallic glitter palette and I will for sure use your link. Thank you and have a wonderful fay with your husband and kids.
Good choice! The metallic paints are supurb!
Gidday from Melbourne, Australia!!!!!!.
Missed the live, but I really enjoyed this!
Tfs
I do the same thing, I can remember what I was watching or listening too, and how I felt when I drew something. That is why I try to avoid doing art when I am upset because it becomes immortalized lol.
So true!
Ah man missed it by 5 minutes! Thanks UA-cam for the No notification! 😣 anyway loved seeing the sketchbooks 😃 great video as always
Supper cool, I just got this book! Love the hand drawings could you maybe do a tutorial on one of these? Maybe make it in parts. I quite like the pumpkin hand one it adds to the spooky ness of the picture. Great sketch book. Your flowers all look amazing, I so need to work on flowers. Sorry I missed the live hope your having a great Sunday.
Your sketchbooks are so amazing!
Thanks!
LOVE, love the peek into your sketchbook. Everything is so beautiful. So many great ideas! Since you enjoy gouache and want something easier to take with you, you should try the Caran d' Ache pans. The Mind Of WaterColor guy did a gouache review and gave it an honorable mention because he liked it. I bought it because I wanted to try gouache in more colors than just the one tube of white W&N white that I had. The Caran d' Ache is really creamy and vibrant, I think.
Thanks for the recommendation!
Aw shucks, I missed getting to say hello to Lindsay. I knew you were going to share/flips of your sketchbooks, but I didn't know you were going to do it live. Oh well, don't matter now. Now I can watch what I missed. Take care. Becky B
Neither did I 😆
Thanks for the surprise stream! 🌺
That was fun! Thanks!
Michaels has some store brand dot journals on clearance for $3. For those who like that sort of thing. The blank page versions are full price - $6.99, not too bad.
This was so inspirational to watch. I really want to get a sketchbook like this, especially since that one takes watercolor so well. Do you have any videos on your watercolor travel kit? Like how you do watercolors on the go, what you bring, etc?
Yes, search travel art supplies on my channel page.
You are am amazing artist. I love your style.
OMG, most of them are really a piece of art, and I'm sure your grandchildren can sell it when they'll need money 😉🤭, i AM serious though, so, keep painting and pencilling only on one side, LOVE your work in that sketchbook!!!!! Thx 4 sharing, watching this video is so nice (as all your videos btw 👍👍)
Thanks for sharing. Inspiring.
Great things in there! But now I'm hungry 😀
Since you only paint on one side, you should write the date location and materials on the back
Hi Lindsay,
What a lovely sketchbook! 🤩😍 Lol You don't need to explain what everything is! 😉😂
To fill the soap bottle can't you use a funnel or make one from a piece of foil? I think that should work. I just let the stream of soap run from one bottle to the other in a thin stream. It takes a moment but works fine for me.
The amethyst ring is so pretty! I also love the food, flower and glass illustrations. 😍😍😍 And, I also have the glass class but have not been able to take it yet... 🙄😅
Hugs & Love
Chrissie
No worries you have lifetime access:) soap is no problem, it's the lotion I couldn't easily fill because its so thick.
This tour made me hungry.
Hello, Lindsay! From NY. I love it when you show your art books! Gorgeous sketchbook. Tfs.
How was the movie? Did you have fun?
Yes, it was so good to get out and the movie was good but i think i liked the 1st one better.
I love sketchbooks. If you ever decide to sell them let me know. I'd rather buy an artists sketchbook than completed peice. Reason being: I like interactive art and I love to have conversations about the artist, the art, their growth etc. I also love work that isn't signed on the front. Reason: when I buy at it's A) because I love it and B) I want to discuss the work, the feelings the work conjures in us and the artist. Who they are, their skill etc. When a peice is signed the guests just think they'll remember who did it. Of course they won't. Without a name on the front or forces discourse. Then they'll always remember the artist and the shop purchased from.
I also think it's important for people to see the journey artists take on the path to improvement. To see why art costs what it costs. Because it doesn't take an hour to draw something. It took a lifetime of practice and skill building.
I'll never know why artists sell magazine/ books explaining the same skills and techniques that have never changed since the beginning of time but don't put a book/ zine together of their sketchbooks. I'd buy that long before I'd buy a how to draw, paint, shade etc book
Kissimmee, FL watching
Excellent💯👍👏
I’m not reading all the comments, but u ought to go back and note the year/month and media on the back of each page. U have the room, and I’d think your children would b interested (in 30 years … !).
Is it possible to get a tutorial for the flowers you painted with the dagger brush?
It's in my watercolor flower workshop at Lindsayweirich.teachable.com
I'm back as molly rosie
Very beautiful work! Thanks for sharing! What is the name of the watercolor artist who does the character drawings you referenced- Becca Holbein something?? Thanks!
Becca Hillbirn and he channel is natto soup
Thank you!!@@thefrugalcrafter
How and where do you store all your completed art books?
I have them in a pile in the art supply storage area.
Lordy! This sketch book is over $80 on Canadian Amazon. Up from $26 on the US site. Exchange rate and import fees aren't THAT high.
Yikes! Try curry's, they are Canadian and might have it or Jackson's art from the UK, they ship worldwide.
@@thefrugalcrafter I couldn't find them at Curry's or another Canadian art store I like, but I did find the 9×12 at my old art school's store for $33. I didn't realize they had an online store!
Just an FYI... I had very bad luck with this sketchbook in the larger size. It fell apart very easily at the binding.. the paper is great.. but binding is sub par. There is another artist on youtube that had the same complaint (Liz Ackerley). Paper nice, binding not so good. There are much better options out there for the price.. I have had good luck with the stillman and birn.. and even the Seawhite brand.
Unlike stillman and birn
Is this sketchbook 140 lb cotton cold press paper? If not what is the paper? Thank you
No, id guess he's 90# hot press watercolor or mixed media paper
Which size is this sketchbook? On Amazon France there are 3 sizes and I’m thinking this one may be the smallest? A5 size?
I missed the live chat due to living in France 😅
Lovely sketchbook tour 😻😻
6x9" or so
@@thefrugalcrafter that’s brilliant, thank you 🙏
Do you have any recommendations for websites that have good photos of still life etc to use as reference photos for drawing practice ?
I use unsplash.com for a large variety of curated photos. Any objects at home can be used for still life models too. The mundane today might be your memorabilia tomorrow.
Try unsplash or pixabay.
Thank you!
Thank you! I find it easier to draw from 2d than 3d!
@@emmaw6819 oh yes, it is.
Hi Y'all I am in south east Louisiana.......
hi
It's me renee luera
sadly 720 seems max for this video...so sadly can't see well...not HD 1080...no option for that...could it be because you are filming with your phone...anyways so blurry...too hard to watch...I never have this issue with your videos ever
That's odd. Only one person had an issue 8n the stream.
