- In this video, I give you my story of why I felt like I made the wrong decision and how you can cope with your feelings if you feel the same way
I love your videos. I started my nursing journey many years ago and life happened. At the time I thought it was too demanding as a single mom. Years later, I knew I still had that passion for helping people which is why I always wanted to be a nurse in the first place. I’m an Aquarius and it just comes natural to me. I finally found something I could do that still involved helping people, so I got my bachelors in Social Work. I have been working from home for an insurance company for a few years and noticed that I am doing a lot that the CM RN’s do. So I decided to go back to school to finish my nursing so I can make more and also do what I always wanted to do. I started my nursing journey with WGU pre licensure program, which is very convenient because I already work from home. I will be 42 next month and all of your videos I can relate to. Bedside nursing is not for me either and I’m so glad that working from home as a nurse is an option for me. And you are right about going back to nursing school is a good idea because of all of your life’s experience, I’m more driven and motivated to complete it now than ever before. I wish I would’ve have went back to school during COVID for nursing instead of social work but God has a plan for it working out the way it did. And for anyone thinking about going back to school for nursing, I say do it. I’m still in the beginning of my journey but I’m gonna push myself and thug it out to the end this time. If I’m doing it as a single mom of 3, and working full time, anyone can. With faith and God’s hands on me🙌🏾 Your videos give me motivation and hope. 🙏🏾🫶🏾💯😊
Your journey is so inspiring!! If you haven't made a UA-cam channel to document this journey I really encourage you too. Definitely a channel I'd subscribe to and I'm sure others would too. Praying for you as you complete WGU! I have no doubt you can do this. You have all the perfect ingredients to be a great nurse, and the world needs more people like you❤️. I'm also an Aquarius 🙌🏾
Wonderful story. ❤ I'm currently in my Pre-Nursing journey. I've been doing a lot of research on different specialties. The number 1 specialty I definitely want to stay away at least as full-time staff is bedside nursing. I rather do it as per diem. I'm more interested in Hospice care and Home Health Nurse or Public Health. Plus I love the fact that the nursing career has so many options but I think it starts with the college/university basically pushing students to go to bedside first rather than seek other settings.
I love that plan and 100 percent agree. There should be more discussion in nursing school on alternative specialties (non-bedside) related. Good luck to you!!❤️
