The writing is lazier, the jokes are stale, it seems as if they let Tracy himself write most of the material. They gave up. This was their way of telling Adult Swim to kick rocks.

For those unaware Unknown Hinson was fired by the show’s creators after some less than positive political comments involving a beloved southern celebrity. This was already planned to be the final season beforehand but no Hinson was the nail in the coffin.
I, not unlike the rest of the diehard Squillie fans, hated the idea of Tracy Mo takin over the voice of Early, even though I been a big Tracy fan since his much heavier mostached days on SNL. However, I have to say it was still darn funny, with the help of the much bigger role that the side characters played to offset the drastic change. Besides it was only for one season, so they could wrap up the whole show, halfway ceremoniously. The End FIN

i think they learned the lesson with voice changing when their actor does a no no in the social justice society that we live in. they gave SB a new voice actor that sounds nothing like the main character, and it was the most criticized season by the fans. fast forward to rick and morty, Justin does a no no and now they went with similar sounding voice actors, and the newest season is good because we as fans are not focusing on the voice as heavily as we did with SB.
