Yeahhhh for the Italians!! This is very similar to what they called blue zones! I’m sure you’ve heard about that Raymond. And there are blue zones in Italy and Loma Linda which is only about 10 minutes away from where I live in California
Two questions: * Were the cities back in Italy not also very close community wise? I had pictured most Italian small towns to be like what was described. :P * Could it be that their high fat diet helped? That seemed to have been unfairly discarded because eVerYoNE kNoWs tHaT FatS R bAd. (They probably aren't, and it's the idea behind the carnivore/keto diet). I figured it's probably several things contributing together.
That is what this video gets wrong. The Roseto residents were not eating like other Americans. They were getting far more fatty animal foods full of saturated fats, probably still including some traditional foods like bone broths and organ meats. But all of the 'experts' know that meat and animal fat is bad. So, they concluded it couldn't be diet without ever investigating it as a factor. Yet the longest lived national populations in the world are also those that eat the most meat (e.g., Hong Kong).
My Nona came from the North. Essentially, her husband's family added on to the home for marriages. When a son takes a wife, the paternal home basically built an addition for that branch. That tradition is reflected in many cultures.
I would like to translate the video in Italian. Is there any chance to let me do it please? Thank you in advance. By the way, I like your video, you did a great job!
