Great review Shane! I built the Whitmann specal earlier this year from them, looks to be the same kit just different colored plastic. I really enjoyed the build. the Turret was a little jinky but loads of fun!

Just ordered this kit. Have yet to put it together. Just finished up academy tiger 1 kit wasn't impressed at all with it. Very little detail pretty basic kit would be great for beginners. I ordered every RFM tiger 1 kit. Very impressed with them lots of detail down to the wing nuts. Also have a Tamiya Tiger 1 kit I need to do yet. Probably one of the most detailed kits from them.

Its ALUMINUM dammit! Haha! Nice little review there Shane. I think their one pc. tracks are some of the best on the market. Btw the "air bubbles" on the turret sides are intentional. I looked at my example and they have them as well therefore it leads me to believe it is rolled steel or casting texture.

TacticalJackalope thanks Andy ! I'm looking forward to seeing what the tracks are like :)
It could well be pitting to replicate rolled steel didn't think of that :)

was thinking of buying this kit..especially as it has a metal barrel & i'm with you on the vinyl tracks. l can't abide them either.

Stuart's Scale models. the tracks are the only thing that really let this kit down, but the after market track set by AFV CLUB is meant to be very good ! so I would recommend this kit

I really am thinking of building this kit , it looks nice though i read that the canon is 3mm short. So you can imagine in 35th scale.

Its the main shortcoming with this kit, but there is plenty of aftermarket metal gun barrels out there, so fixing it should not be a problem

Hi Shane, looks like this kit is not as good as Tamiya? if you were going for a first build Tiger with good detail which would you go for or would it be the new kit maker you mentioned?

+Richard B detail wise this kit is better, more sharper as the molds are newer but I recommend either this or Tamiya for ease of build, or Dragon for detail

Maquette de m....la tourelle est immontable, et le positionnement des 2 caisses , supérieure et inferieure laisse un jour de 2 mm tout le long.
A part ça, le reste se monte à merveille.
