I found that if we apply Bonedynamics to the tail of rigify, it can still be moved by the ik control, strangely only when animation is on (space bar) and it behaves a bit differently.
Wow that BoneDynamics pro addon is incredible im gonna buy it tonight! I wish you could do an episode on using BoneDynamics Pro for clothes. Thank you so much for the great content
I definitely want to learn Faceit. How well does it combine with body mocap or does it? It's getting easier to generate believable faces, but I'd also like to know how to recreate a person's hair style. If you can help clarify that it would be great. In my idea of a perfect world, I could also add additional clothing items that can be affected by force fields. A complete character with facial animation, dynamic hair and cloth is a bit of a dream.
FaceIt can definitely be combined with facial mocap. As for your perfect world, it sounds like you want Character Creator and iClone. They can get pricy but offer ready solutions for most of these things. Clothes, hair styles etc.
I used Animbox for convenience selecting controls at once. It is great but if you kindly give an in depth tutorial on it, it would be great as no proper manual is there except some directional videos by developer which does not cover all aspect of this great addon.
I'd love to see in depth videos on all of these. They really help show off the addon so we can see their value. If we just get the addon without knowing how to use it, its worthless. I am from India And I love your teaching style sir. Your all videos are deeply knowledgeable. I want a full tutorial on animation layers. I hope you would make it. Thanks thanks a lot. A lot of love from India.
Thanks for all the tutorials. I learn a lot from them! I would like to see more about Animation Layers. Would it be possible to clear the animations performed by AI Motion Capture?
Hello Toshi, I like the idea to explore new add-ons in future videos, please go ahead with that! One problem I currently struggle with, is I have a human female character with thin cornrolls/ hair braids. Basically what I want to do is keep the braids on her head absolutely still, and then possibly just physically simulate how the braids move. What I wanted her to do in a manual abnimation was a few Capoeira moves, but I just can't bring myself to rig her, because I keep thinking what do I do with her braids? So maybe you can do a tutorial which reviews rigging/ animating different hairstyles, because I think how you would go about it strongly depends om the moddle you start off with. So yeah good physics based hair tutorial would be something I personally am very interested in, but I don't think it would be wise to just slap physics animations on the hair mesh... also I have the hair following curves originally, so I could apply that, or maybe there's a way to just physically animate the curves? Idk, I'm sure you're very knowledgeable about all of this, so I'll just see if you can help me in the next few months ^^
Animbox seems like a potourri. Could be interesting to see what else is there. Also, the bone x looks awesome. I have wanted a way to rig clothes and hair.
Hello, Thank you for this presentation. I would be very interested in a tutorial on Animation Layers, especially in combination with Auto Rig Pro. I would also like to know if it is possible to combine Face It with Auto Rig Pro.
OK! Animation layers doesn't really depend on the Rig type. So ARP, rigify etc, doesn't matter. But I'll keep that in mind. ARP + FaceIt: yes, will cover that for sure.
Thank you this is an excellent idea to provide a quick tutorial for each product! To complete FaceIt addon, I think a tutorial to explain how to improve the iPhone FaceCap capture would be great!. I think there are some parameters to do this but still don't now how. But the most critical point for me is how to combine a Rigify body animation with a FaceIt animation, I think there is something to do with the NLA editor or the action editor but still don't know what.
FaceCap is a bit of black box, you just point the phone at your face and shoot :D The most important thing is the distance to the camera and keeping the phone steady. But I'll look into it for sure. "Rigify body animation with a FaceIt animation" > will cover that for sure.
Since you indicated Animation Layers tutorial is likely happening, I’ll leave that out and I would say of these addons here, I would like to see more with bone dynamics pro and X-muscles. You didn’t mention it, but I would really also like to see some practical uses of graphkit or the whole animator’s bundle.
I'd love to hear your thoughts on Blender Rigging Nodes (creator's name: Level Pixel Level). And thanks for what you're doing on this channel. It's invaluable.
I was messing with the face it addon lately. I almost got it figured out all the way, I’m just a little lost trying to get the Face Cap app to stream live, I had the addon and app both on my IP address and at port 9001. But it’s still not working 🤧
I only used faceit once. It worked perfectly with iphone's face cap App. I'd like to see it work with another rigging tool like ARP or rigfy since it is purely a shape key rig so they should be able to work together fine. I'd love to see new possibilities to get the face capture because I do not have an iphone myself. I also would love to see if there is a way to use x-muscle system for game animation using ARP. As always, thank you for your great work. Keep up with the videos!
Got it. The face it stuff you mentioned will be covered in the next video! As for APR + x-muscle, there is no reason why it won't work. X-muscle attaches to bones, and ARP uses bones :)
@@CGDive Looking foward to your next video. So X-muscles animation can be exported as a regular skinned bone animation? That's fantastic. I also have this addon but have not tested it yet.
@@renight0343 Oh, no. The X-Muscle stuff would fall under "simulation" and it cannot be exported directly. I meant that the muscles attach to Blender bones and it doesn't matter if the armature was created using ARP or another method. I saw that x-muscle has tools to convert the muscle deformations to shape keys and that can be exported. But I'll have to figure out how to use that.
Faceit please then animation layers And bone dynamics pro Faceit : 1* editing shapekeys eyeblinks 2* make custom shapekeys 3* make custom controll rig 4* parent faceit armature to head bone 5* parent faceit control rig to head bone and keep everything active 6* remove faceit completely from a character with the generated shapekeys 7* linking faceit to another blend file to start animating These things are still hard for me and it will be for anyone new to these addons Please note it and consider more in depth explanation about these parts
Thank you a lot for the video, I’m interested in FaceIt. I have a question: is it a problem if I have only one object (the face/head) without eyes and mouth as separate objects? I have to do an animation of my head which I have already done and texturized but i don’t need it to be really defined so as one object - the face. Thank you again.
From the human model used in the video? I am not sure. If there are any downloads, they will be mentioned in the video and video description. I can't remember every detail :) Also check Sketchfab, it has a lot of nice quality assets including teeth and tongues. I made a video on how to download free assets from Sketchfab ua-cam.com/video/Ij8rfDCWlEg/v-deo.html

Bone dynamics works with any chain of bones. I can't gaurantee it will work with your specific ARP rig because I don't know what setup you will use it on :) But that's easy enough to test using the free version!
@@CGDive Thanks for the quick reply! Looking at some of what can be done with it sold me. To an extent that I’m like… Should I learn rigify? 🤔 Haha I’ll do some test!
@@CGDive I was thinking of something like a switch setup. A generated rig with Custom parameters to switch between bone dynamics and FK. Is that too ambitious?
@@Tybiti I see. Setting up a switch might be time-consuming but you can bake the bone physics. Anyway, I'll consider this when I make a video about the addon.
@@CGDive apologies. I messed up the wording. The inside of a character's mouth should be dark but most animations show that it's still lit up, like light is passing through the skin.
@@tmaxstudio55 I am still guessing because I think the question is completely unrelated to this video... But if you enable Ambient Occlusion in the render settings and Contact shadows for your lights the inside of the mouth should be shaded properly. Again, I am guessing that you are using Eevee.

@@CGDive I see. This shape key conversion is something I want to search. I'd love if you comment on this if you make a video for X-muscles system!
@@renight0343 yeah will do!
+1 for x-muscle system. tried it but couldnt get the hang of it.
Faceit please then animation layers
And bone dynamics pro
Faceit :
1* editing shapekeys eyeblinks
2* make custom shapekeys
3* make custom controll rig
4* parent faceit armature to head bone
5* parent faceit control rig to head bone and keep everything active
6* remove faceit completely from a character with the generated shapekeys
7* linking faceit to another blend file to start animating
These things are still hard for me and it will be for anyone new to these addons
Please note it and consider more in depth explanation about these parts
Thanks for the input. Will consider it for the next video.
Animbox is the best choice for a full video.
Thanks Todor! Please highlight Apps for facial mocap as soon as possible)
Will do!
X~Musle review would be nice. There isn't much videos about that one.
Got it!
We have in-depth videos about FaceIt already

The face can be a single object.
rigfy Amin and animation layer was so good
Hey i would love to know about exporting face it shape key animations to unreal. Thanks!
Excellent. Can you do a tutorial about SYNCNIX and Rhubarb ? Thanks
SYNCNIX and Rhubarb ... no idea what those are :)
@@CGDive They are lip sync helpers
Wow muscle system videos please
I love you.
I think Rigify Animbox is not working for Blender 4.1+. Could you please do an indept video on how to use it in Blender 4.1+ ? Many thanks :)
Why cant I apply muscles to body? the body doesn't want to follow the movement of the muscle
Quick question, do you have the teeth and tongue available for download?
From the human model used in the video? I am not sure. If there are any downloads, they will be mentioned in the video and video description. I can't remember every detail :)
Also check Sketchfab, it has a lot of nice quality assets including teeth and tongues. I made a video on how to download free assets from Sketchfab

@CGDrive It would be great to see you review Blenrig 6 !
Considering it . I gave the addon a quick try. Really like the guided rigging process.
FaceIt togeder with autorig pro for the future will be the best video!😊
Awesome one! Buying Rigify Anim Box and Faceit right now, are your links affiliated?
Animbox is free! :)
Links are affiliate yes (I say so in the video, should add it to the description too!)
+1 for face it!!!!
I'm wondering can we achieve the same result like BoneDynamics Pro by using blender without any addons
Pretty sure it's possible, yes. This guy does insane bone simulations without addons:
www.youtube.com/@MaxZhang37
I will check it, thank you.
Thanks Dive..Where can i get help for an error message when creating a muscle in the xmuscle addon,. Seems to be a lack of training for a PAID addon. I tried it in 2.83....3.0 and 3.5
Best to get in touch with the addon dev. Just go to the BM product page and you should see a button sayig "Ask a question" or something like it.
I'd like to see how to set the muscle simulation without any addons.
Yeah, that would be interesting. It might take time but I'll definitely work on it.
sir, please help me ! how to save my rig character with armature for animation,,,, please help me🙏
Sorry, I don't provide blender support unless it's specifically about the video you're watching. Listen to 25:24
FACELET! :)
please make a video about how to export rigify rig to maya please
Thanks for the suggestion but that's unlikely. I don't even have Maya installed.
I am late but if you could do some Bonedynamics tutorials
me: omg!!!!!
friend: wtf!!!?? what happen?
me: no way! no freaking WAY!!!!
friend: what!??
me: theres an add on… for blender, my 3d thingy, that can simulate muscle jiggle and tension… and u put it under ur mesh and it work with ur animation… and it look sick!! its so cool!! omg!!!
friend: …..
me: hey, why my phone say u blocked me?
hahahaha
Bone Dynamics and Simplicage
Does auto rig pro work with bone dynamics?
Bone dynamics works with any chain of bones. I can't gaurantee it will work with your specific ARP rig because I don't know what setup you will use it on :)
But that's easy enough to test using the free version!
@@CGDive Thanks for the quick reply! Looking at some of what can be done with it sold me. To an extent that I’m like…
Should I learn rigify? 🤔 Haha
I’ll do some test!
face it cool!!!
plz plz plz make a tutorial on connecting faceit rig to mixamo addon's control rig 🙏🙏🙏🥺🥺🥺
Yeah, I will cover how to connect it to existing rigs. Should work for anything, Rigify, arp, mixamo.
@@CGDive you the best
X-muscle system.
Other rigging addon like ARP with faceit!!
Got it!
Bone dynamics.. is there a way to use it with rigify?
Sure, why not. It should work on a tail or tentacle. I'll make a note to test it.
When im using FACEIT my friends always asks me what is my level there like im playing csgo -_-
:D
X-Muscle system please!
Noted, cheers!
please make brotheerr i love you
haha thanks!
How can the light in the mouth issue be solved?
Are people supposed to know what mouth and what light you mean? I don't :)
@@CGDive you're right. Thanks.
