I m 60 years from Srilanka. Where there was very few TV in homes . I’m still thinking of those days we used to watch this movie every week. I consider myself the biggest fan as well. I'm 47 and grew up on Little House On The Prairie. I even have all 9 seasons on blu-ray including the TV specials. Would not be without them. No other show even remotely compares to Little House On The Prairie.
I’m 50 years old and grew up watching LHP!! And to this day I DVR every episode and have been doing this for years! This show gives me such joy! Brings happiness, laughter, tears, and most always great life lessons!! I wish so much there more shows like this on TV now! Michael Landon gave us all a true gift! May he Rest In Peace!

Biggest Little House fan here. I record episodes off of television and every night around 10:00 p.m. when my house is quiet, I sit and watch an episode or two by myself. I know every line by heart and I've memorized things going on in the background during a scene. It's strange but I enjoy it. I rarely watch television anymore because it's mostly trash tv now. Little House never gets old!

14:37 Patrick Loubatière is absolutely right. For abused, neglected children, the Little House on the Prairie was something that kept them alive and to look forward to. The realization of 'what I went through is not normal. THIS is what should be and I want to survive and I want to create that with my own family' is so true.

It was and is one of the best series ever... we need more of this good wholesome stories in this day and age. Rise up a generation of media producers that will do what is good and right and encourage our children to live lives worth living!
Michel Landon sends us the following message on "Little House" Don't blame God for your misfortunes, they are a matter of circumstance. Try to believe in him and pray to him, regardless. He preaches unconditional love, goodness, and giving everyone a chance. Well, it may be what he always wished for during his very unhappy childhood. He was a great actor. His stories are of the many tragedies we face in life. Death, losing a child, illness, suicide, and unshakeable family values. We watch and wish we could be a part of his family. And yet, in real life, he was not the perfect man he portrayed. That's because no one is perfect. It's enough that he was a good man, who has already brought joy not only to us, but will continue to do so to generations to come.
A good analysis of this sweet man's life and his legacy. Life is hard, and it's difficult to navigate it without taking any missteps. His heart was always in the right place though. Thank you for your comment!
@@otma2011 And how many years did you know him personally Helen? Because Melissa Gilbert, Alison Arngrim, Dean Butler, Matthew and Patrick Laborteaux, his friends Kent and Susan McCray , his daughters and his sons ALL say something different. Perhaps you want to share your intimate experiences with them and set them straight because they obviously didn't know the man as well as you did.
@@sueannbellucci4304Perhaps you should talk to his wives about his cheating, or read the memoirs by Melissa Gilbert, who said “[Michael Landon’s] anger was terrifying and having witnessed it, I never wanted to be on the receiving end,” or the memoir by Melissa Sue Anderson (whom I actually met) and ger less than sparkling recollections of him; or watch some recent interviews by Karen Grassle about his inappropriate behaviour on the set, his affairs there, etc. I don't just pull things out of my ass, I have read a lot of testimonies by people who knew him well and who had no reason to lie. So for every quote you come up with about how "sweet" he was, I can counteract with ten quotes about quite the opposite. 🤷♀️
@@otma2011 - I highly doubt it Helen, because no matter what comments the Melissa's may have made it doesn't detract from their overall feelings about him. Andl its is not the full measure of the man. If that's what gives you pleasure - finding the thorns in the rose bush then there's no point in arguing.
This was and still is my favorite tv show and unfortunately they don’t make wholesome shows like this anymore. I wish they did instead of all the violent and nasty language that’s on tv now. There’s literally no tv show that comes on now that I would sit down and watch with my granddaughters of course unless it’s reruns of Bonanza or Little House on the Prairie. I know every line that the actors speak on all the episodes of Little House. I’m currently 62 and have been watching Little House since day one and I still watch the reruns every day. ❤️
When the show started I was 2 so I really didn't start watching the show until I was a bit older...but I do remember the last episode it broke my heart to see everything get blown up and seeing such a great show end. The show still captivates me and brings so much memories back to my childhood.
I live in Italy, I'm57. Little house is my favorite show, I watch it over and over again, every day. I love it. If I could choose were and when to live my life, I would choose this beautiful little village! ❤
I been watching little house since I was a little girl , my mother only allowed us to watch wholesome , heartfelt , family shows and little house 🏡 on the prairie was # 1 . I’m now almost 56 and still love and enjoy watching this show. ❤

Well, regardless of how people feel about the show, the land didn't belong to Michael Landon or the production company. That being said, the actor who played John Carter bought and disassembled the Little House, he wanted to put it back up, but Ed Friendly, which I believe was the actual land owner prohibited it. Even after his passing, his family wouldn't allow it. The mantle(fireplace) is on display at the Laura Ingalls Wilder Muesem in Walnut Grove, MN. That's what I understand.
I love this show. I work with adhd kids. My stepdaughter has odd. I would like to buy the show for my daughter and for my whole family. I would say if my daughter watch this show from her 4 years old, I could save a lot of time for educating her. Amazing stories!
@dionbouchard4638 -I couldn't agree with you more! An amazing show - unique in television history. Lessons that endure! Michael Landon was a gift to all of us.
I (we) grew up loving Bonanza on Sunday nights with Little Joe! Little House on the Prairie touched me more than any thing ever on TV! Reading all the wonderful comments, apparently I was not alone! I should not be suprized..... R.I.P. Little Joe!
2024, it still goes strong. The best show ever. Thank you Michael and mellissa and alison and " mary", " Dean," every single cast member. You made the most positve changes in society.
I think every generation feels that way about the music - but I definitely agree with you regarding the Television. But then Michael Landon was unique even in his own time ❤
I just watched a documentary of the character ' Nellie ' taking fans back to ' Walnut Grove ' in 2010...That was so cool to watch...The footage of what the property looks like in 2010 was sad to see...Nothing was there, but I am pleased they placed the buildings of ' Walnut Grove ' , so people like myself, were able to recognize the town and what it was when the show was in the making...The thing about the documentary, that shocked me the most...No one ' liked ' it but me!...I had been watching this series since I was a girl...I am 56yrs old now and miss the show very much...But it's nice to know you can buy the series to own or watch it on UA-cam...
All of Little House has been released . It's a beautiful set. That's where this video came from. There are Special features at the end of each of the 1st 6 seasons. The set is boxed in a "little house" replica.
@@DavidDJ-2000 They were available when they came out, but right now, they are out of stock/are not available, I think hence to Amazon. Hope they will release more of these or release the whole set of Bluray of all Seasons instead each Season.
@@MD20239I have the entire collection on DVD, and on Blu-ray I have seasons 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, & 6.... Again, seasons 7, 8 and 9 of Little House were never sold separately on "Blu-ray". Nor have they done the (3) Little House movies on Blu-ray, (Bless All the Dear Children, A Look Back At Yesterday, and The Last Farewell.) When they first digitally remastered the series, they were being released & sold one season at a time. Which is why I never bought the entire box set collection.
I'm starting to watch bonanza again and when that's done I'm coming back to little house on the prairie. They made a big mistake taking little house off , and God alone knows what they have replaced it with loads of garbage and filth, I no longer watch the foolishness. So I'm watching good things. Michael was a decent man I'm so sad he left us so early. It was my favourite and it was all because of Michael Landon. Little house on the prairie will never be old, that is what a movie or show should be. I'm gutted that Mike left us so early.
I agree. I have been stuck on Bonanza but I watch LH with my son and his wife on special occasions and will start re-watching it on my own soon..I have watched HTH multiple times including on Netflix until they took it off! 😖
A favorite weekly program of my early childhood having been born in 1970. Very wholesome family programming. Likeable characters, good plot development and those little character dramas that appealed to kids. Nellie was such a convincing little psychopath lol.
Little House On The Prairie will be celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2024. This is one of many wholesome TV shows to ever exist. Other wholesome TV shows I can think of include: The Brady Bunch, Family Ties, Highway To Heaven, The Golden Girls, ALF, Touched By An Angel, Family Matters, Growing Pains, and Step By Step, to name a few, along with Little House. You have to wonder why they don't make TV shows as good as those anymore? I would say that Michael Landon was a genius in his way and wasn't afraid of taking risks (or the huge leap of faith) with shows he was associated with having such tremendous success and ensuring they'd remain timeless and relevant. I'd also say that former NBC boss Brandon Tartikoff was a genius in his own way too, and being behind the scenes force in shows during his time at NBC being the successes they were.
It seems when i was growing up there was a choice, Little House or The Walton's, we opted for Little house and I don't regret it. I can watch Walton's and try to figure out what was going on or I could watch Little House and immediately recognize the episode, just a matter of choice.
there was ring in Laura's voice, that still is there in Melissa's voice! it prevents me to see her as an adult ,now I understand why parents treat their kids ,like they never past age 7! even though they are 60 years old with their own grand kid!. and HALF PINT! you are still like my little sister ,and I'm 60 years old!

One of the best shows ever done..incredibly great..episode after episode..its micheal landon..expect the best..
So true! ❤
reminded me, when I was a kid
@Patialas Aritonang - that's what makes his work so endearing to us

Little House changed my life! I learned life lessons!
You are not alone. I read this all the time ❤
Little House on the Prairie was and will always be the best Western tv sitcom ever. I would love to see a reboot of Rose and all the kids grown
The magic would be gone without Michael Landon 😊💞💯
I (we) grew up loving Bonanza on Sunday nights with Little Joe! Little House on the Prairie touched me more than any thing ever on TV! Reading all the wonderful comments, apparently I was not alone! I should not be suprized..... R.I.P. Little Joe!
Bonanza was my favorite show growing up. And I adored Little Joe. Don't touch that dial, Sunday night at nine, NBC!!!
Favorite saya
Waktu SD 😍😍😍
I don't think I would have surived my childhood if it wasn't for LHOTP books in the local library; I treasured each new book and just loved them......
2024, it still goes strong. The best show ever. Thank you Michael and mellissa and alison and " mary", " Dean," every single cast member. You made the most positve changes in society.
He certainly tried his best with his vision ❤
I'm 55 and still watching it in 2024. A time when television still had humanity. What a shame this world has become. Music and TV wise.
I think every generation feels that way about the music - but I definitely agree with you regarding the Television. But then Michael Landon was unique even in his own time ❤
So pleased tor All
Laura Ingalls Wilder is smiling!
I love this show! Could watch every second of the day! Lol ❤
Little House on the prairie was, has been, and shall be the people's show!
I'm 75 and love this show there all great but I did love Michael Landon.
Still beloved and famous in Germany, too!
No one "liked" it but you? I will never understand people.
Bellissima serie sono anke affezionata hai protagonisti e indimenticabile unica 😍😍💋💕💖💝👏👏👏
My children got to work on a farm they had a unique opportunity most children never will experience.experNce
Grazie! ❤❤❤
I've gotten some of the little house series at half price books
I WAS A LITTLE HOUSE FAN AT 9 YEARS OLD AND STILL AM NOW AT 59 YEARS OLD UNTIL ETERNITY!

Ever best tv serial in the history!!
Love this loved Little House great show
They need to finish releasing all the seasons on Blu-ray, I've been waiting for years to complete my Blu-ray collection!
All of Little House has been released . It's a beautiful set. That's where this video came from. There are Special features at the end of each of the 1st 6 seasons. The set is boxed in a "little house" replica.
@@sueannbellucci4304 Yes, however, I'm talking about Season 7, 8, and 9 on BLU-RAY!
Tolle Serie 👍
Das stimmt, einfach nur wunderbar 🙏✨.
yes , its global show , i am from Jordan and watch it , this show is heartwarming
@r.k4245 - Heartwarming is a good description for this wonderful show. Thank you to Michael Landon for this gift! ❤
i still watch it from time to time
I'm starting to watch bonanza again and when that's done I'm coming back to little house on the prairie.
@@sueannbellucci4304 life permitting I will watch them all over and over I can't get enough of Mike. 🤦
Also I just binge watched highway to heaven
I so loved that show and Micheal Landon 😍
I just felt like I had a second family.
Grazie a tutti! Rip Michael ❤❤❤❤
Charles Ingalls was the man I always strived to be. Although i have fallen short, he has always been my goal to be Charles.
The best show ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Agreeeeeee! Love Bonanza too!
I couldn't agree with you more!
My favorite show.
I loved little house on the priere much..
Thts the best fim ever
It seems when i was growing up there was a choice, Little House or The Walton's, we opted for Little house and I don't regret it. I can watch Walton's and try to figure out what was going on or I could watch Little House and immediately recognize the episode, just a matter of choice.
Fan since age 5...
there was ring in Laura's voice, that still is there in Melissa's voice!
it prevents me to see her as an adult ,now I understand why parents treat their kids ,like they never past age 7! even though they are 60 years old with their own grand kid!.
and HALF PINT! you are still like my little sister ,and I'm 60 years old!
MY LITTLE 🏠 HOUSE!
MY FAVORITE ALL TIME 👪 FAMILY
Absolutely mine also. Well, maybe 2nd to the Cartwright family. 😅💞
Such a good 👍 👏 👌 😌 show
