I watched Landon's final interview from the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson. By that time he knew he wouldn't be alive for much longer but he didn't let his cancer get the best of him. I'll always admire his bravery as he battled cancer.
I watched it also. Crying . he was a brave man. His life was short but he had a good life . He's better now with Jesu's and all his bonanza family. He still has that special laugh . See you one day .
Michael Landon was one of the few actors who could make me cry. Especially in his role on Highway To Heaven. All of his shows were family oriented and there was no filth like too many shows today. Rest in peace Michael. 🌹🕯
You just absolutely summed it up on what I was thinking. Highway to Heaven was my go to show in my childhood. Children in this day and age should be subject to this heartfelt way of life and the lessons it teaches. Praying that they can recreate a newer version similar to this just to teach right from wrong again.. Michael Landon always pulled my heart strings.. Miss him dearly!
His real last name was Orowitz, Mike invented his name by consulting a phone book and applying interest in Landon I guess you could say his life was a story, doncha think!
This one was an emotional one for me. We watched all of his shows from Bonanza on. Sadly, my father passed of pancreatic cancer about six years after Michael. My oldest brother and I got involved in research at John Hopkins as the Landon family worked with the hospital to fund many studies at this hospital including trials to see if it was hereditary. My brother was so sure he was going to get it but he died of leukemia at 53. Michael was a great actor and so handsome and he just had the special something that made you feel good just watching him. Gone but never forgotten! 🌻💞💜

I agree with you it makes me sad every time I watch the news and I see that somebody else passed away especially when they are close to my age. I'm 58 and in the last few years I've lost my mom my younger sister my dad and my aunt and two of my uncles and a bunch of friends and all of them either died from heart problems or cancer and it really makes you obsess on your own mortality. I wish I could just relax and enjoy life a little bit more instead of thinking about when I'm gonna die
I loved him he was such a great actor. I grew up in Orange County. I left California in 2008 but it was fairly common to run into famous people. My 25-year-old twin daughters were in a movie they filmed when they were seven turning eight years old it was so much fun. I was also on the movie set for Friday after next with ice cube. I was a limousine driver for awhile for some friends of mine. Our pink limo was pinkies limo in the movie. And my boss/friend Richie was friends with Tommy Lasorda and his wife Jo and sometimes Jo would call me asking for a ride to the doctors office when her husband was out of town. She had had knee surgery at the time. I think this was around 2002 to 2003 she was so sweet.
He was a great actor.I used to watch bonanza and little house with my parents. My father also died of pancreatic cancer within two months in 2013. May Michael rest in peace 💞
This is the main reason to watch your channel Scott. Michael Landon was the last person on my radar to think about and now I'm flooded with memories of seeing little house on the prairie as a kid. Michael Landon was everyone's Pa! An incredible actor, director and producet! My first memory of Michael Landon was "lil Joe" on Bonanza. We tuned in every week, it was one of my Dad's favorite shows. I loved it for the horses, l! We had about 30 at any one time. I think Michael Landon did as much to raise us, as our parents did. Bringing lessons on almost any subject. Even drugs, which was taboo, at the time. It was my first memory of anything drug related. In turn, when reruns came on as I raised my kids, we'd watch. Although sometimes my kids bulked as they got older. My youngest daughter at the time was busy watching 16 and Pregnant. thank you for sharing this Scott! 60+ years ago I used to lay on the couch with my dad and we watched Bonanza and I still watch it today. seems like another lifetime ago. appreciate you bro! thanks again!
Michael Landon is a true role model who deserves admiration. I believe that if he were alive today, he would have received a lifetime achievement award a long time ago. He definitely deserves it!♥️😔
@@barbarab24cs - You heard wrong my friend. He was a drinker for sure, but never drunk. He drank with his crew during and after the shows and as his co-stars have said - "never missed a beat". Was always sharp and efficient. And as many of the actors who worked with him have said, "He was kind, gentle and had a wicked sense of humor." Why don't you read the comment from "The Ring Magazine" at the beginning of the comments. 🙂
I grew up watching Little House On The Prairie. He was like my TV father. I loved that show(and still do)and he was an amazing actor. Rest in peace to him,🙏and that you for making this video. Blessed Be.
Pancreatic cancer is devastating as there are no symptoms until it's a bit too late. They are making strides on treatments. My grandmother passed away from it as had her father. It tends to strike a little too early in peoples lives, cutting their lives way too short. RIP Michael Landon, you were loved and respected in life and that love continues now.
Never watched Little House on The Prairie but my dad used to LOOOOOOOVVVVEEE Bonanza! I remember him as Little Joe. Brings back so many memories. May they both continue to rest in piece
This has to be my favourite video about Michael Landon. I've seen videos of his grave before, but I've never seen his house, except for the video he did himself announcing his condition. Spooky he passed at 54 as did Victor and also James Troesh, who also appeared on Highway to Heaven, he was 54 too. I still watch Little House to this day. I have all episodes on DVD and I just love it. Thank you so much for doing this. Great video 😊
Michael’s final resting place is tasteful & stunning. Just lovely. Oh my heart - you found Peggy Lipton’s grave! 💜 I can remember wanting to be her when I was just a young girl, play acting with my friends & I was always tall, slim, gorgeous Peggy Lipton/Julie Barnes with the long flowing blonde hair. Well stated on her grave - she WAS “The OG cool girl”.
One of my favorite shows when I was a kid was Highway To Heaven, him and Victor French's character would go on special assignments to aid people in trouble. I would like to think that they are actually doing just that. Rest In Peace to both.
He's been gone a long while now. I didn't know his son passed away & young as well at 60 years old. I like what Michael said, that if you're going to beat something you can't do it from standing in a corner. Pancreatic cancer is one of the worst cancers (all of them are bad of course). It made me think of the TV commercial from ex-president Jimmy Carter who had most of his family members pass away from this cancer & he told the viewers to go the doctor for early detection (bless him)
Thank you so much for this video, Scott. I started watching The Little House on the Prairie again because German television broadcasts it these days. It's exactly like TL freeland says. You can escape all the bull cr*p that happens in the world for a while with that show. Every episode carries a positive message. Michael is a legend. May he rest in peace. Greetings from Germany!
The song from little house brought back so many memories of laying on the floor with my pillow and blanket and watching little house, Scott you are the best UA-camr in video's like these, you have a huge caring heart, i can feel it coming off you, call me crazy, but i do... like a magnetic force... hugs to you from wisconsin ❤
Ty Scott, this was a hard one to watch! My father had just been diagnosed with cancer and passed away almost a month before Michael Landon. I remember dad talking about him, probably wonder if Michael would beat cancer. Strange now all those years ago. Again awesome Scott! Kiss Shady for me! ♥️
Michael Landon was my favorite TV dad & I wished my dad could of been more like him. I still watch little house today he was such a great actor gone too soon. R.I.P MY TV DAD
I still don't believe that he is gone ,even now, at the age of 66, still looking at him in highway to Heaven makes me and my husband cry, we used to watch Bonanza, loved little house on the prairie, one of the best actor ever ,with victor French they both so Amezing good ,god bless both where ever they are watching highway to Heaven makes me learn more to live peacefull in the cruel world ,thank Michael Landon God bless 🙌
Thank you for showing Leonard Nimoy's grave on top of a beautiful video for Michael Landon. He was one of my favorite tv father's and I loved Little House.
Michael Landon was a great actor, writer, producer, director and I liked him on Bonanza, Little House on the Prairie, Highway to Heaven and the the show he was about to make but it never happened only the pilot movie and that was called Us and I know had he lived it would have been another great show and he was one of my favorite actors and may he Rest In Peace.
Thank you so much for making this well put together and highly respectable content Michael Landon was one of my heroes when I was about 5 years old then I found out he was sick when I was 9 years old I didn't understand how serious it was and when he died it felt like I lost a family member I must have cried for 5 days it felt like I lost an uncle. But this video brought back great memories thank you so much for a great video.
Astounded to be reminded at just how young he was when he died, he did so much in that short time. Such good, family entertainment, clean with lessons on morality. Not only tgat, when you rewatch his shoes they were well writren, well scripted and we'll acted. Some shows I rewatch and am a little embarrassed that I used to like them. Not so with Michael Landon. They are as good to watch and learn as when they first aired. Thanks for this, loved him!
My favorite TV father ever!! … I wanted to be half pint 💕. He died way too young . Great job as always .. music .. editing .. and all of the extras you shared 💕.
I remember watching Little House everyday after school. I think Pa was the Dad lots of us always wished we had. I was 14 when he died - I remember thinking he was old. But as an adult I know that 54 is young! I have no idea why I have never seen his grave before. It’s very simple, but beautiful. Thanks for bringing us there with you ❤
Michael was born the same year as my father, who died in 2010 after 6 years of declining health following a major stroke. Dad always liked Highway to Heaven. He thought that was Michael's best role.
It's sad to realize Michael Landon died at 54, now that I'm days away from turning 56. He was stricken and taken from us way too soon in life. To have accomplished so much in 30ish years on screen is astounding. My mom's fear of werewolves came at the hand of Landon's 1957 flick "I Was A Teenage Werewolf". Thanks for another respectful visit to the resting departed, Scott. I'd ride shotgun and kick in on gas money with you any time!
Michael and my dad were born the same year about six months apart. They were diagnosed with cancer within a week of each other. Michael died three weeks after my father did. Heartbreaking to lose them basically at the same time.
Scott you make the most beautiful videos!!! I absolutely love this video about Michael Landon!!! Your heartfelt compassion shows in every video you make. Thank you so much for all you do!!
I loved Michael Landon I'm 60 and I grew up watching his shows I also loved Victor French seeing him on ginsmoke first thing then Little House and hwy to heaven I really miss them that's when TV shows still had good morals
@SCOTT ON TAPE - Your Pop Culture Tour Guide thank you for this wonderful video! I love @Michael Landon. Great actor. Thank you for putting a rock on his grave. Since I can’t travel far. You’re truly amazing & 💯 awesome!
One of my favorite Michael Landon stories was his very special way of saying “I love you” to his wife and family. If you watch closely, whenever he was a guest on a “talk show,” he would tap/ rub the top of his head whenever the show played to music before a break. His message to his beloved family.
I like Michael Landon. I love Little house on the prairie. Fun fact. If you watch Yellowstone, the lady that plays Teeter is Michael Landon's daughter in real life.
What a beautiful place to be laid to rest. Some spots even looked like a typical English garden. Such a terrible way for anyone to lose their life, so I hope he is now at peace. Thank you for sharing this. ✌

thank you for sharing this Scott!
He definitely deserves it!♥️😔
Yes! Yes! Yes!
Michael Landon was and always will be my all time favourite actor. He is the only actor I would have loved to have met. RIP Michael
Always heard he was a mean drunk
@@barbarab24cs yes I heard that also
Di- ahh more interested about his irish mother

Blessed Be.
I love Highway to Heaven, that’s where I grew up knowing Michael Landon, I have watched the whole series more than once, it’s such a beautiful show
Pancreatic cancer is devastating as there are no symptoms until it's a bit too late. They are making strides on treatments. My grandmother passed away from it as had her father. It tends to strike a little too early in peoples lives, cutting their lives way too short. RIP Michael Landon, you were loved and respected in life and that love continues now.

Ahh what a throw back to my childhood, a handsome man, great actor gone way too soon, RIP Michael
Definitely taken from us way too soon. Grew up with him. Loved Little House on the Prairie. And Bonanza!! Thank you, Scott. Beautifully done. 🕊️🙏❤️
It made me think of the TV commercial from ex-president Jimmy Carter who had most of his family members pass away from this cancer & he told the viewers to go the doctor for early detection (bless him)
I loved little house on the prairie and he in particular with his stories taught everyone about morals and decency.
Michael Landon will forever be missed! Such a great actor, director. A beautiful person. I will always love him! Rest peacefully!
He was awesome, I'm 61 and grew up watching everything he was in
Hello Debbie how are you doing today
Michael London boy you Will be remember by generation after generation you work is always alive with us,

Great video Scott. I watched all of those shows when I was a kid. You’re always so respectful. Appreciate your hard work.
Thanks Scott for this tour. I absolutely loved Michael Landon in every show he starred in. Especially, Highway to Heaven. May he R I.P.
Rest in peace Michael. Little house is my favorite show
I always loved him. Thanks for showing us Scott.
Hello Naders how are you doing today
Use to love watching Micheal Landon in little house on the prairie with my grandma treasured memories rip Micheal taken too soon ❤️ thank u Scott
Thanks for this, loved him!
you are an amazing storyteller. Thank you again for the illest of content. Keep these coming!
I used to watch Highway to Heaven as a child with my Dad, I could tell he was a good soul even then. R.I.P. to both.
Thank you Michael Landon!
For making me see real life
On the TV series Little House on the P. 😊
My favorite TV father ever!! … I wanted to be half pint 💕. He died way too young . Great job as always .. music .. editing .. and all of the extras you shared 💕.
Thank you so much .I love Michael Landon.Rest in Peace 🙏🕯️
I remember watching Little House everyday after school. I think Pa was the Dad lots of us always wished we had.
I was 14 when he died - I remember thinking he was old. But as an adult I know that 54 is young!
I have no idea why I have never seen his grave before. It’s very simple, but beautiful. Thanks for bringing us there with you ❤
Great work Scott, From what I've heard, He was a Great guy. R.I.P Michael Landon.
Wow, thanks for this Scott. I grew up watching LHOTP. Looked forward to it every week. Landon was a good soul. RIP
Hello Shannon 👋 how are you doing today ☺
Not again!!!
Simple music can make you sing simple hug can make you feel better simple things can make you happy, i hope my simple Hello brings smile to your face,
Michael and my dad were born the same year about six months apart. They were diagnosed with cancer within a week of each other. Michael died three weeks after my father did. Heartbreaking to lose them basically at the same time.
Sorry for you.. my mom died of cancer 5 years ago..only 67..
It's a horrible disease..😢
@@christinaskipper6338 it is definitely horrible. I am sorry for your loss.

Culture Tour Guide thank you for this wonderful video! I love @Michael Landon. Great actor.
Thank you for putting a rock on his grave. Since I can’t travel far.
You’re truly amazing & 💯 awesome!
Thanks for sharing this, I met him when I was about 16, I followed his career, he was so handsome in person.
A Beautiful Man.will never forget his Smile.. RIP..🙏🏼✝️💖✨🌻🕊️💐🕊️✨🕯️
One of my favorite Michael Landon stories was his very special way of saying “I love you” to his wife and family. If you watch closely, whenever he was a guest on a “talk show,” he would tap/ rub the top of his head whenever the show played to music before a break. His message to his beloved family.
He was my favorite actor in Bonanza! 🌹🌻💔🌸💧
Thanks Scott for taking us along, I know I would never get to visit... this one was emotional for me, I watched alot of Bonanza as a kid...
I used to watch little house on the Prarie I loved that show I was heartbroken when he passed away
Beautiful cemetery, I watched Michael Landon from when he was in Bonanza, and Little House brilliant shows. Thank you Scott for showing this video, god bless and take carexx

Hi Scott, such a coincidence, I just watched Michael's last interview on Johnny Carson last night. And now today, I find your sweet video. He was a fabulous actor, and so handsome. His laugh was awesome. Thanks for the post.
