How to find the middle of a skein of yarn so that it can be "center pulled"

I've got a 400g ball of yarn so I had to do it blind and just rip out 1/4 of the ball.
'My brutality paid off' I cry as I finally got the end out lmaooo
It's always worth it though, far easier to continue without the ball twisting around, like it would if you used the thread on the outside!

Landyn Branstiter what yarn did you get? Even a skein like Red Heart can pull from the center. Only ball yarn or yarn on a spool can’t be pulled this way.

These are centre pull balls already. It's in no way possible to do that with a skein
