OMG! Thank you! I fought with and returned a skein of yarn today for 4 hours after watching numerous videos! None other than yours mentioned pulling out the freakin’ clump! You’re the best!
Lol I was having a really hard time finding the beginning but as soon as I clicked on this vid I found it! Turns out it was really dug in deep on the ball
No!No!No!No! Because you need to be careful with your tension rewinding it. Most people wind it TOO Tight, and then they wonder why their project doesn't look very good. Then they donate the yarn away, and the yarn has no more spring in it. If you look at the opposite side of where the tail is sticking out, open the bundle very slowly and carefully to look in the middle. With every prayer to St. Anthony, there it is every single time, and then your yarn is not mangled and project will look as it is intended to look. Gentle with the yarn!! Best of luck on your project. Warmly, Anne
i opened my new yarn and both ends are sticking out of the middle. When I pull 1, the other gets tangled on it and makes the ball of yarn tight. What do I do?
Thats a stupid mess. Im going to start avoiding yarns with this type of pull. Was doing this exact thing with my yarn and was trying to see if there was a less messy way to do it. Turns out no!
Worst example I've ever seen! The trick is to find the end without the huge mass of yarn coming out. Even I can do it with only about 2-3ft of yarn coming out.
Proof you truly can find ANYTHING online! Haha, thank you! Another newbie here! :-)

I’m a guy that doesn’t knit using a ‘skein’ (thanks for that new word) of yarn for a random project. Your video has helped me immensely.
I would always go into panic when I would pull on the center clump of yarn! Great tip. :)
