Not only am I impressed by the skill of the musicians but also by the microphone of this man's camcorder
Might be a time traveller

Prolly used an external mic!
They genuinely had decent mics and compression on some of the old cameras. I remember for a media studies project, using my mom's old early 2000s cam-corder which records onto small DVD disks, and it was a pain to work with, but whilst I did, I was amazed at the quality of the audio, the river rushing, the birds chirping in the forest, I couldn't have gotten audio that good from my smartphone. What's more crazy is that this video was probably originally interlaced (so, actually 60fps), but internet streaming sites don't support this, so you'll never get to see it at it's best.
So nice to see John Lennon, Harry Potter and Stanley Kubrick jamming together.
Bro what none of them look like John Lennon
@@gyroelongatedpentagonalbip728 I think the guy who looks like harry potter also looks like john lennon. I dont know who the third guy is tho
@@3fast5you The accordionist.

Warning just in case: that round instrument plqying 52 notes per second is called "dómra"
@@IvanKhramov either that or it may be a mandolin (two strings per note)
This is not an accordion. This instrument is called bayan
There's something about Slavic folk music that's just entrancing. Ever since I was a kid and heard that sort of music I just loved the sound. I don't know if it's a specific chord progression or type of harmony or what, I'm not well versed in music theory, but there's just something about old Slavic folk music that I enjoy deep down into my DNA (albeit with mostly Irish genes lol.)
It's just extremely rhythmic music, makes you want to dance
It is not a original folk music. Music was written in 1898. But the style of music and its harmony are really folk.
Tetris.
That's why.
@@StigPrice Forever!

@@madkir8206 Hell yeah! I love the Domra music cus is very wild, it is the accoustic cousin of metal and rock n', roll, althoug, those ruskyes know how to make wild and intense music since their classical music.

You guys are great! Where can I see you play? "Oh, we play next to the dumpster"
Many thanks! This record was made a long time!)) Now we sometimes play in Moscow in clubs or at corporate parties!
Юрий Искоркин hey I see you guys have new songs that play, any chance you can cover korobeiniki again in any of your new videos?

The fact that they’re so confident that they don’t even look at their instruments half the time blows my mind
I don't know about other instruments, but it's not allowed to look with accordion
The times they arent looking are the times they dont need to :) still impressive nonetheless tho lol
No musician worth his salt needs to look at his instrument.
@Kamamura2 as someone who has played bass, guitar, and trumpet for many years this is extremely true, but I still glance at my instruments when playing as fast as the dude in this video

most people who practice all day never get this good.
you don't understand the level.
They didn't train up to this speed. They are so familiar with the strings that they go faster at a pace that feels fun for them. Zero rhythm mistakes. It is EASIER for them to play FAST.
And that contra bass player has better rhythm than most elite jazz bands from the 20th century had on a good day. He leads them on slow down wave patterns amid a gradual speed up to be part of a bigger wave of increase and decrease. Fractal rhythm... off the cuff without sounding mechanical. That is better than ANY other Russian performance recorded in history of man kind - and Russians love the slowdown/speed up technique - no one else does it fractally like that.
This is not just professionals. This is a masterclass in rhythm and playing together.
