2020 GMC AT4 HD Kryptonite Leveling Kit, King Shocks and More!

We had a customer with a brand new 2020 GMC 3500 HD AT4 want to get some upgrades on his brand new truck to improve the trucks capabilities. He needed some bigger off road tires to maintain traction in snowy climates that he travels to. To fit the larger 34" Nitto Ridge Grappler we set him up with a Kryptonite Products leveling kit* with Death Grip Tie Rods and a set of King 2.5 Shocks to achieve an uncompromised ride quality. This customer carries a sled deck on the back of his truck for the majority of the year and to help eliminate the squat on the truck we installed a 1" rear block along with an AirLift 7500 XL set of rear airbags and Wireless One EZ Mount Compressor Kit to keep the heavy loads stable in all conditions. We also installed a Hornblasters Conductor's Special 244 Nightmare Edition Train Horn Kit with a 2 gallon air tank and electric drain valve kit. Why use an air bag and a lift block in the back? Wouldn't the bags level the rear when the driver loads it up. Or is it block for the daily use and bags for the extra duty?

Why did they make a All Terran truck using torsion bars? My 2015 2500 is so stiff for everyday use and was looking to see If the newer 2020+ made a change and it looks like only Denali has coil over front suspension.

All of the HD trucks are torsion bar suspension. The few trucks we have converted to coil overs do ride much better. I hope one day GM will make the change.

Racing shocks on a tow vehicle

When you order this kit does the stock shock size work with the 1” lift block and air bags or do you need to get a longer rear shock?

You can still use a stock shock with a 1" block, any higher and it is highly recommended to replace them wit appropriate length shocks.

What was the third “nozzle” under the gas cap door? Was that an air chuck?

Scott Currier yes the air chuck was there for easy access as we installed a tank and train horns on his truck
