Glad you're enjoying this video ❤ grew up doing our own electrical work ( my opa thought me he is a construction worker and is 79 years old) never once had an "electrician" in our home in south America but in the states I have paid twice for electrical work and both times Ive had to redo wires or attach the fixtures correctly myself. This light only had 1 screw holding it in place 😑 IF YOU HAVE AN ISSUE WITH ME DOING WORK IN MY HOME HIT DISLIKE AND MOVE ON....
I love your straight forward responses. Clearly a grown woman and not seeking approval. Keep up the GREAT work. My grandfather learned the ins and outs of doing construction in a home and I know quality work when I see it. You my dear do EXCELLENT work!!!!
And you are doing good dont worry about not supporting a local business, a lot of them dont supporter the local community anyways and some of them tear up people's homes and rip you off for simple jobs you can do yourself...and buy a stud finder,and they use plastic boxes for safety purposes, so if a wire is pinched, frayed,ect..if you was using a metal box the box would be electrically charged and short or shock you..

Badass. Good job. I installed some light fixtures in my entryway after paying someone to do it for me and to tell me I needed all this bs so he couldn’t do it. So I had to pay for 1 hr for him to tell me that. Mind you what he was telling me I needed was unnecessary. So I watched a few UA-cam videos and did it myself.

My husband took down track lights to install two pendant lights and he has been arguing with me that he has to cut an entire rectangle in the area to install them from the main light box. I swear I do not know why I waste my breath. You just saved me so much stress haha , going to do it myself! I can be petty and handy :)

You never cease to amaze me..I'm looking to replace 2 can lights over island with pendants (2005) house too, but my ceiling is so high i would have to put a step ladder on island to do it..and I just had quartz put in so ill leave it to an electrician..there on dimmers now and I want just these 2 to be on separate line. Knowing I couldn't afford an electritian, I stressed and worried about how and what steps needed to install new lightening in the kitchen. I hadn't a clue where to even begin. Invest into a laser lever and whenever you drill a hold drill in reverse your holes will come out with more cleaner edges.

And dont forget whenever you use wire nuts, wrap each one with electrical tape.
