Imagine expecting your spectres before post game to not die to any kind of gentle summer breeze blowing in their general direction.
There's really no inbetween with spectres - they either die to anything or they're immortal gods
PoE is actually very confusing for new players, so lemme give you a very light TL;DR:
Talent Tree: Start at a fixed point depending on starting class in the tree, move on it along like a road, nodes are 99% of time catered to your characters needs. Certain *_builds_* however require you to stray from that road dabbling into _exotic_ traits, and thats where the *_real fun_* of this tree starts. Jewel nodes can enhance all nodes in their radius with their own property
Spells: You get them from *Gems* which you have to socket into your gear. Buy them in town vendors or drop em like normal items. Don't worry, you can swap everything in and out everywhere with no cost. Usually you want the max of slots for your gear (for instance 6[highest] on body armor) and have them also linked. Links will allow you to "chain" your basic spell gems with additional effects from "support" gems, like faster casting, more damage, something when cast or even a whole new property of the spell itself, like kill enemy when at % enemyHP (works well with chaos damage)
Leagues: Every few months PoE smacks a fresh League onto you which will contain a mechanic reoccuring throughout your maps as you go though the game. Somewhat of a sidequest/challenge (essence/bloodlines) or sometimes interactions (Perandus) They are not mandatory. You can either play on Standard, Hardcore or the current League in ST or HC. Solo-Self-Found is also an option which inhibits trading with other players, but other than that is identical to the other modes.
Lootfilters: This is a Lootbased Action-RPG and you will see a metric _FKTON_ of items in your playthrough. However not everything is worth picking up. Lootfilters are mostly community made filters that will hide everything deemed as "trash". Trash hereby takes into consideration your character level, the itemlevel of the thing that just dropped and a few other smaller factors.
Resists: Your run-of-the-mill elemental damage reduction. Caps usually on 75%, can be pushed higher with gearmods and tree points in specific +%resists. You _NEED_ to be past 100% for higher difficulties. Mobs elemental damage will go past 100% on there. Like with Shaggy 100% is NOT the limit here; its a mere threshold.
On an ending note: This game is also notoriously known for giving you sudden deaths if you don't watch out. If you are a beginner in this game, stay away from Hardcore and probably even the ST League. Go into Standard mode only and try to get a feel for when you have to cast, move and thinking ahead to not get caught inbetween mobs/dead end traps. Learn to kite and do not stand still in this game. At certain points mobs will gang up on you and chunk you real hard. Keep distance at all times

@@9901ghsa A safe choice for complete newcomers is usually a FreezingPulse build. You get this skillgem at the very beginning in 1st town as a quest reward, thus you can USE it from the very beginning. Generic, singular wave of ice dealing more damage the closer it hits something from where it was cast.
Witch/Shadow (INT and INT/AGI hybrid class) utilize it a bit better since their skilltree revolves more around mana and arcanism. You can still use it on STR classes no problem if you want.
Most notable point for this build is: Its very cheap/affordable
Also there are usually a lot of FreezingPulse guides out there from different leagues/times. Some might have outdated information but the overall content of it stays the same.
You can see the entire Skilltree at "poeskilltree". Do NOT be alarmed of its sheer massiveness, you will never be able to get all points of it. This site is a mere tool to plan your levelups or tinker around if you want to theorize a new build.
Guides are found all over the place. Look up the wiki for a specific gem, paste it into a search for guides and you find plenty even on Reddit
I've used Witch and Shadow over my gameplay (Shadow way more than Witch) but in the end it does not really matter what class you play. Witch is heavy-ranged with wands and Shadow can use either wands or go bri'ish with shanks. It's the weapon that will dictate your play (Due to slots for gems)

Really Warframe? It took little to no time to build multiple frames in that game I spent more time trading an unveiling rivens then I did doing any theory crafting everything is pretty cookie cutter in the end game, atleast when I played it.

The devs are super up front about how they basically ripped the skill tree from FF10 and the gear socket/skill system from FF7 Materia.

PoE is amazing. Necro is the best class. Skeleton army is op. It summons a ton of skeles. At end game u will get rekt along with ur mobs unless u put ur skill points in a good order

The Thing is your build is nice for the Kampagne. Had a similiar one. But with 1400health points you wont get far, after you completed the main Kampagne, all your resistences are MINUS. So go with that into Endgame and your basically a one hit wonder toast xD

I've actually enjoyed Asmons PoE streams quite a bit. Long as he focuses on just the game and having fun that's all that matters. It's nice seeing him play an Actual Game on that there game streaming platform.
Path of Exile is such a nice Game I have a warrior-like character with heavy armor and weapons and is so much fun to stack, skill over skill over skill and see how everything combines in an explosion of destruction and epicness, I play in Hard Core mode BTW (one time I died due to lag with my first character and I was so mad I uninstalled the game and didn't play it for a year hahaha)
6:38 PoE is very new player friendly. It's not very friendly to players who want everything for free though.
People who say it's difficult and not new player friendly are so stuck in path of building they forget to actually play the game.

9/10 didnt farm for the 6link 6 socket sword that changes the story. I have the same build but I'm also a totem necromancer. Nothing is funnier then placing 3 totems that spawn flaming skulls.

Minion Builds are the only thing i ever play there. xD However, slapping on Whirlwind Lvl 1 with Cast while channeling + Desecrate + Turn Corpse into Fireball, (upgrade to, or combined with Summon Raging Skulls SRS, really brings down the overall Button Usage by a lot;) - Then add a bit of % Quantity Gear and build up;
This stream was great and this video is great loved every second of it

The complexity brings it depth and so much replayabilty. There is always some way to make intressting unique build. And it feels very rewarding when you manage to make it work.
But there are plenty of people who just copy-paste builds out there. If they want it more easy.
It obviously has a working concept, since it's been going strong since 2013. And it's still growing. With PoE 2. It could live on for another 5-10 years.

Man this game brings back a lot of great memories. Still have my beta Kiwi pet lingering around somewhere. Got a golden tiara and some alt-art unique items as a 1 week hardcore race reward from like 2013 during Nemesis league, after placing 11th. I remember trying to knock Nguyen off rank 10 with 4 hours left and was just too far behind him but far enough ahead of rank 12 that I had to just say fuck it and go to sleep.

According to poe ninja, on April 18 2021, a Tabula Rasa is priced around 20 chaos orbs. Chaos orbs are the universal currency which are usually obtained after completing act 10. Mcconnel is asking for quite an item. (Also 34:48 exalted orbs are around 65-99 chaos orbs.)
Oh god i LOVED minion bilds, and all the stuff summon necro was allways my favourite. Shame, that in last 2-3 leagues servers performance killed it for me :-(

This skilltree going literally crazy, never seen something similar
The 1500+ nodes looks complicated at first but it actually pretty easy.
The tree is split into 3. Strength is bottom left, Intelligence is top middle, and Dexterity is bottom right.
Next there are 7 classes. The 7th, Scion, is in the middle. The remaining 6 are combinations that are laid out in a hexagon shape:
Bottom Left = Marauder (Str)
Top Left = Templar (Str & Int)
Top Middle = Witch (Int)
Top Right = Shadow (Dex & Int)
Bottom Right = Ranger (Dex)
Bottom Middle = Duelist (Dex & Str)
Half of the tree is literally Strength, Dexterity, and Intelligence nodes.
Around 35 nodes are major keystone nodes.
Remains are small buff nodes.
Less bald when playing Path of Exile than he is on World of Warcraft... Suspicious... World of Warcraft causes Baldness? Mhmmm.

they trick you into thinking that skill tree is massive but really its just every characters skill trees combined you cant access things on the other side of it, its convoluted aswell seeing as majoirty of nodes are just +16 str or +16 dex etc nothing unique just alot of those
Pshh little do you know righteous fire is the strongest most consistently easy mode build in standard with legacy gear. It becomes the God of poe with an ES guardian with 5-15 million dps and 15-20k energy shield while having insane max res, block, and like 3-5k regen with 10k or higher burst. Thing is busted
