Works with my Bfang 750w motor and Bfang controller. I don't know why so many people say it's for mid-drives only. It's like everyone is keeping it secret! Lol. I just went ahead and bought the cable and gave it a shot and it worked perfectly. Now just need to find someone who has the best settings... which is difficult since all I can find is info on the mid drives
Is there a way to speed up the PAS response?
I have gone through the settings and now my throttle works much smoother and the power assist is just what I want. However, the Pedal Assist comes on very slowly, only after 2 complete revolutions of the pedals. What setting controls it?
Its the one under slow start mode, the other bafang config software calls it slightly different. If thats set too high it will take long.
Hi with this setup on a 1000w whouldi get over 35mph?
Is programming the motor independant of what type of display you got?
Old question, but yes. It is independent. You connect the Bafang programming cable so it goes from your laptop to the display cable GOING TO THE MOTOR. The display itself isn't even involved.

Thanks for this video. One question though. If I set setting number one to 5km/hour will the motor start when it reaches 5km/h and will it also cut of at 5kmh?
Second question, when using throttle can you pedal at the same time?
1. All values there are % of the power that your motor is capable of. If you do 5% and your motor is 250w its going to be 12.5 watts. You can play with these number and see how much watts you need to enter there to go 5km/h with your bike. For a bike of 24kg and 63kg rider that's around 15watts.

I can program ok with the Luna software. However, I noticed that if you change the wheel size it will not overrun the internal software and the wheel size will actually not change (no speed indicator effect). I can only change wheel size using the Bafang screen after entering the appropriate password.
Is that a good idea to keep 100% speed on every pass?? That mean the motor will never stop and always will try to hit top speed even on small back cogs, at pass 1.
Your pass 1 setting have around 96w peak and 58w power continues but in the same time 100% rpm. I Don't know is that okay for the motor? Maybe on the largest back cogs .... a bit confused..
I’m setup that way (unlimited speed) except for assistance level 1 which I limited to 25km/h in case police stops me and checks the bike.
Just purchased a bafang but just wanting throttle without the peddle assist. Could you please tell me if this is possible. Thanks for the vid.
You can just unplug the pedal sensor and put it in the top speed mode to give the throttle the most power, you will find pas helps increase range though and tbh these little 1500w kits fell underpowered without peddling so I wouldn't bother

My bbs02 Bafang throttle act like an on-off switch. Is there a solution for it to act as a smooth progressive linear throttle? Is it a programming issue?
Go to "throttle" and turn down start amps.

If this happens basically you're in tough luck. Possible solution could be getting USB drivers or trying different imput slots.

@@dariopastorino69 one of the sites/forums should have it. Lunacycles or the bafang one when you do G search.
Also in my case I had to do a few times connect/disconnect and check which port is actually the right one in device manager.
@@VeganCatalyst the software will only read the controller if com ports 1 to 4 a selected!. If any other com port is sellected it will not read the controller therefore anybody having this problem reading the controller will have to open up device manager and right click the port they are using, click properties, then advanced, then port settings and change there port number to a port from 1 to 4 thats not in use ;)
Followed these steps precisely and now I keep getting some weird moaning noises from my bafang DPC18 display...Please help

Hi, mabe you know if this cabel fits for Bafang BFSWX02 hub motor?
Hi. I haven't done it on rear hub motor. But quick search suggests that Bafang basic 18a controller, and DPC18 display might have issues. Possible solution is to swap to 20a Grinfineon controller and CA3WP programmable display.
20 usd for cable?? thats 3 usd part at best plus 5 usd mail....
I don't like all the pedal assist settings too much dabbling in philosophy
