Fortunately, I did discharge to 25% andtook out the microSD card before I upgraded my SSD to 2TB. Because if I didn’t, it would’ve been a complete disaster.

I've moved my deck into Jsaux case now, even the carrying case to, soon I'll buy the transparent case as well from Jsaux too, I currently own the Jsaux carrying case, modcase.
this is a very well made and edited video, on an unrelated note, you may want to look into the 'n real air' projection glasses, they use usb-c video to give you a screen right in front of your eyes, and although they have some head tracking, ultimately the use case isn't VR/AR, but rather just to be a portable screen strapped to your face, so the screen follows your head. to me it sounds great for phones, as you can have the phone in your pocket and just use a bluetooth game controller to play games.
After shipping up here in the Pacific Northwest for the 512GB it costs $715 for this Valve Steam Deck + Case expensive af i have to work a lot of OT to pay for this! lol

If you wanted a matt screen 3tb steam deck wouldn't it've been a better option to replace the screen of your 64GB one with an ifix it replacement? Or putting a screen protector? It's just a little painful to imagine all that money

Ahhh question why didn't you went with the base version of the deck instead of the high end ? Since there is no big diffrences between the base (64gb) and the high end (512gb)...I mean the base model you can swap in a SSD now that there are SSDs now avalilable for it...also you can just swap out the gloss display for the anti glare display from IFXIT or you can keep the gloss display and apply a matt screen protector thats cost like $16....which totalize less. PS...I'm plainly curious that is all lol btw keep up thw content, its quite enjoyable to watch! thats my rant laterzz!

I need some serious help. I installed the SSD and made sure the battery was nearly fully charged. However, after attempting to insert and flash the OS using my type C drive the Steam Deck won't respond to the power button at all. When i plug in the charger however, it shows the "Default Boot Device Missing or Boot Failed...." The second I unplug the wall charger the device turns off! WTF do i do?
@Robbert different screens, different cases, and the 512gb version has an exclusive coloured digital keyboard. It's all on the website; don't listen to Internet comments that try to sum it up too quickly. It even shows you some of the differences in this video!

Hello, I have a question, how do you use dual boot on the steam deck? I mean, when you restart the console, you can choose whether to use Windows or the valve engine. How do you do that?

Hi, sorry for the late reply. I installed windows on this steamdeck , and the app for changing background is "wallpaper engine" for lockscreen you can try "Go to Settings > Personalization > Lock screen. Under Background, select Picture or Slideshow to use your own picture(s) as the background for your lock screen." Hope this helps 😃
Looks amazing but are you interested in the aftermarket 1200p SteamdeckHD screen that is coming out. I would be as long as it doesn't hamper performance too much to be noticable else probably not.
Omron switches are better, I really dislike that gamers doesn't do research on keyboard switches. Omron is a scientific company that makes some of the most precise switches on the planet. Not only that but Omron designed their keyboard switches to be square and not cross and because of that the keys feel MUCH smoother as cross keycaps can tilt if you don't hit them center also Omron switches have no light leaking under the keys which Cherry still haven't fixed and is ugly.

Always remember to take out the SD card, discharge your battery and unplug the battery when opening and taking apart your Steam Deck.

You should wait for the OLED model that comes out in a few weeks. Has better display, higher refresh rate and several battery improvements and more.

i got my deck 3 days back too and i upgraded the ssd to 1 tb i got the base model
Congratulations. You spent 200 dollars less by not wasting it on the expensive version. The only upgrade between the models is the ssd

How did you replace the hard drive without formatting or installing new os and then steam os magically started up? I think we are missing a few steps.
Something is fishy here, the internal ssd is 1tb not 2tb. Probably bought 2tb ssd but got scammed for 1tb instead. Dont trust online market.
Maybe the 2TB SSD was partitioned? 1TB for SteamOS and 1TB for Windows?
Whats the difference between adding a SD card to switching the hard disk? Isnt easier to just add a 2TB sd card?
