Nick, check out Private rain by Paul. You need to here his own songs to hear his genuine and own voice. It’s way better than anything he covers. On a side note, Paul has said he only covers songs that he can perform in the same key it was written in.
Paul Dempsey is an absolute amazing singer. A master of making covers his own. I love his stuff with SFK, but find SFK songs don't give his voice a chance to really shine.

Paul Dempsey is great, but the best cover of this song is by Chris Cornell and it's amazing. Well worth checking it out.
Prince write it and sang it the original. If you haven't heard it it's amazing! It's got more anger and I can't explain but it's amazing

I had no idea this was a Prince song. I still prefer the Sinead O'Connor version, but Dempsey sings this really well. I'd add it to my playlist.
