Paul Dempsey is an absolutely amazing musical talent. His band something for Kate has been rocking australia for 25 years his song writing ability is astounding his solo albums are seriously underrated and totally addictive then just when you think he can’t get any better he has this uncanny ability to cover songs that you never really liked like miley wrecking ball and make you totally love it AND can cover a song that you already loved and make you love his version better than the original. I have seen this man perform live at least 15 times in my life and every time he is amazing either with the band or just him and his guitar. His voice is so distinctive it reaches in and touches your soul. The hairs on my arms still rise when I hear him hit certain notes especially live. He can make you feel every emotion he has felt and can rip your heart out and fill it with joy all at the same time. He is so underrated I feel but I kind of like that it makes me feel like I am in a secret club that very few people know about and those of us that do get to enjoy him without risk of him being corrupted and sullied 😅

I was standing next to Paul at Groovin the Moo (we were watching Peaches) and no one even clicked it was him (granted most of them were around 19). He was so nice and shook my hand. *squee* 🤣🤣
Seen Paul live many times, can highly recommend! His covers are amazing, I love This Must be the Place and Sweet Nothing which were both with Something for Kate. The Middle Kids one he did for Like a Version is GROUSE

Paul’s singing is more or less an accident. His band (Something For Kate) were looking for a vocalist and he was just doing it in the meantime.
