Nice! My wife has some forever restoration projects for me to do,because I want to Waite forever to to get to them. One is a blanket chest made of walnut that has been in her family for over 175 years. And a couple of small accent tables made of mahogany. 😁🛫

I have found that using Frog tape works better than blue painters tape. Star Bond Ca is great for these applications too!

I have had good luck with the blue tape in the past. I just didn’t get it sealed properly and the cedar was so porous that it leaked from places I didn’t expect. I like Starbond for some things and it would have worked great for the hinge cut outs. Not sure about the lock mortise though.

I’m looking at the list footage as an opportunity to improve. Lol

Still have 6 or so inches of snow on the ground, but it's about 5-10 degrees C during the day, and dipping to just below -5 or so overnight. Overall not too bad.

Clean that sanding disk with a either a sanding disk cleaner a rubber type compound or synthetic wine corks work and old tennis shoe soles work.

I had done that a couple of times before I finally switched to the stripper. Problem was I was having to do it so often I was spending more time cleaning the disk than I was sanding.
