    Personally I'm not a big Green & Green fan, although I do love there Ebony plugs, but the incorporation of that drawer is very nice. A hidden draw right out in the open. Smart design!

      Thank you very much! Some people love Green and Green, some hate it. Others like some aspects of it like the ebony plugs or the finger joints. My customers prefer Missionary style but wanted something a little different and wanted the drawer to blend into the piece. This is what I came up with.

      I never really thought of it like that but I can see your point. A lot of work goes into these pieces. Thank you.

    Very Nice! One of my very first projects I built 25 years ago when I first became interested in wood working was a blanket chest that I made from red oak. My wife teases me that it took a year to complete it. I wanted right at least to my expectations. We still use and have it. I enjoy watching you explain your techniques. 😁🛫

    Functional as a chest, but not a style that I would build. Good job.

    I'm a relative newb and absolutely horrible at wood identification (so far). What type of wood did you use?
    Beautiful work!

    Loved the project, but I'm not part of Marc 's guild and would have loved for you to add the detail you referred us to search on his site.

      I am planning on covering that in a different video. I had to cut it out of this one because of time. I try to keep my videos under 30 mins and I don’t like doing multiple parts if I can help it. Keep an eye out for that video.

      @@mkdesignsfinewoodworking you should at least mention that in the primary video. Just a suggestion.

    Why are ther gaps at every joint ? or at least most of them. See 18:06

    • @mkdesignsfinewoodworking
      @mkdesignsfinewoodworking  3 роки тому

      I believe you are referring to where the drawer meets the base. There was a slight gap initially because I had to adjust the slide on that side slightly. Once I made the adjustment and after I attached the base to the deck that “gap” went away.

    How much did this cost if you don’t mind me asking

    Sorry but I simply quit watching before the 4 minute mark. My reason was not the content but the blaring music in between the times you where talking. Some like that sort of thing, great. Others maybe not so much. Sorry as this is not to be critical but to share a point of view that you may want to consider in future videos.
