Really love this breakdown. Been listening to her since about 2005 and Soviet Kitsch is also probably one of my favorite albums for many of the reasons you explore in this video. I feel she also brings these elements to many of her songs both on Songs and 11:11, too. Really happy to see people appreciating the humanness of her music. Love Regina and love this video- for myself, I always interpreted what you call the "finger gun" sounds as the sounds of all the machines the cancer patient might be hooked up too. I work in the cancer therapy bays of a hospital so it could just be my own schemas. Chemo Limo is one of my favs regardless.
I like that. The weird sounds like that probably lend themselves to many interpretations even though for Regina it could just as simple as "I thought it sounded cool"
