Reaper's March video is in production! I just wanted to squeak in this rule/intro video as I'm making some big changes to the parameters of the series! All the details are posted in the video and the description down below! I hope to see you all in the dominion finale (7-10 days ish from now). Thank you for your support!
If you made this into a youtube short, basically advertising this series I think your channel would really pop off, just a recommendation is that you select don't notify subscribers about shorts if you do produce one as I've heard that has shown to actually decrease the amount of times your shorts are shown. Do what you want though, you are the youtuber and I've never even made a video lol.
That's not a bad idea! I might do that in the future, but this intro serves multiple purposes that a short wouldn't satisfy. Firstly, I made this so it's easy to drag-and-drop into my regular episodes as a "consistent intro". I also wanted to set this as my channel trailer, which I wouldn't be able to do with a short either. But I like that idea. I'd need to trim it down (more) to bring it under a minute long, but that might be a good idea! I've never made a short before, sounds like a fun challenge!
ESO Veteran here and I just have to say, you are the only channel I have the bell activated for. Really curious how this journey goes. *going back to lurk and enjoying the content*
Yeah I think it really adds some much needed "difficulty" to ESO, as well as an increased level of replayability. Every zone your character is going to feel different as you work your way to discover which items work best!
Hell yes! Looking forward to seeing this new version. My only gripe is I wish the videos were longer😂 I'm delighted to have found this channel right as I started eso again after a several year hiatus.
Thank you for the kind words Quite a few people wish they'd be longer, but honestly I don't know what else I'd include. Usually I say everything I want to say so if I wanted to extend the video length I'd need to introduce new content/segments. I'm sure as suggestions roll in that'll happen over time!
That's the idea! A "real" clean slate start will also let me invest more into overworld item sets and try to figure out what's best for my current objectives :)
I like this new rule for new gear a lot actually. You will be faced with having to use that zone's gear- for better or worse. I used to do roleplay builds where the character could only use gear from that zone (I woull random roll 1d100 the zone)- but I included: if my character could learn the traits to craft, the trials (if any in that zone), and dungeons (if any in that zone). It made for some fun builds by the end for sure.
I'm already enjoying it a lot; it requires me to actually keep my eye out for loot! I just did a POI in Reaper's March and the mini-boss was in an armory of sorts. Only heavy-armor + swords but I was able to clothe myself in some basic gear which felt really good after running around naked for a while. Still missing about 40% of my gear at the moment, but it's really cool to actually have a use for some of the "trash" loot you find everywhere in this game. I like the idea that my character will play different in every zone now. Some zones will be better than others but it should allow for more replicability which I always enjoy.
Dear Frostbreak, Your content is superb, your editing in particular is chef's kiss. I think it might even be too good the way you wrap up hours and hours of your adventures into such a short video. I wish they were longer and i'm hoping this is possible with things like more raw footage, like live reactions in game, rambling thoughts, or other segments like easter eggs, lore, a deeper dive into the stories and plots, establishing/beauty shots. These are suggestions from someone who has no idea what editing it is but is a big fan of your work. Wishing you the best and all the success. Sincerely, 1 Like + 1 Suscribe
Thank you for the kinda words! Quite a few people have been asking me for longer videos, but I always make them as long as I can without dragging them on too long. If I have more stuff to talk about, I don't mind doing longer videos; basically, they take as long as they take. I appreciate your suggestions! I think I might do seperate videos regarding what you just mentioned. I'm planning on doing a Dominion deep dive once I'm done all the zones and hopefully that'll check some stuff off your list!
That's a really good idea. I don't think I'd rank them as part of the zone, since I'm very new and don't know how good those sets would be outside of a vacuum. But that could be something I'd mention in the "side content" segment of the video. Just a quick sentence or two about the gear sets for the zone. Very interesting idea... might do that for the upcoming video...
Im an old elder scrolls fan and I play ESO since morrowind expansion. But your videos made me realize that I have never experience this game as an actual RPG. I just made a new toon and Im now 100%ing every zone and I am loving it! Thanks!!
I love the new ruleset. I hope it helps with raising the difficulty! Also I cant wait until you do the daggerfall main story, It was my alliance in 2014 when the game came out on xbox! I look forward to watching more!
I found your channel from the first video you posted in this series and I have been happily following along. You have actually inspired me and my boyfriend to try this challenge as well! I have been creating a google drive folder with all these crazy checklists to 100% skyrim and ESO. Thank you for such an awesome idea! Are you just using the area guides to track your progress or do you have a spreadsheet to track everything? If so you should post a link because that would be awesome.
How are you going to tackle Trials and Group Dungeons within these zones? Are you waiting until you reach Craglorn to "unlock" the ability to do Trials? I ask because some of these zones have Trials new Group Dungeons and that could be a great way to earn in zone gear. I think a dungeons and Trials section in your videos would be a great addition. It also affects the way you look at a zone because some zones can be a bit meh but the dungeons and trials within them are incredible. If you wait until Craglorn to unlock Trials I would suggest only doing the Trials/dungeons in zones by release so that you can see how the dungeon design has improved throughout the years. Some newer Trials and dungeons are added to old zones to give them life again (something I love about ESO is how much they breathe life into old zones with new things to do). Just a thought and a suggestion :) Amazing series, keep it up!
Good question, if it's not part of the zone-guide, it's not "required" for me to do as per my rules. If Trials are required for certain zones (which I haven't seen happen yet), I guess I'd have to get a group together to do it! I generally do mention the dungeons in my videos in the "side content" segment of the verdict. City of Ash 2 was my favourite so far! I usually stream once per zone (Auridon, Grahtwood, Greenshade, etc.) and in that stream I generally play with my audience and do all the group content just for fun (since it's technically not part of the zone-guide).
@@FrostbreakYT That's a good point, they are not part of the zone guide. And true, you do mention the dungeons sometimes. The dungeons and Trials get really good as the updates progressed so I hope you continue to share your thoughts in the videos if any stand out :) The later dungeons and trials could be a good "bonus" section in your videos as they do add to the zone's likability. Also, some of the later Trials have stories within them that add to the lore of the zone and immersion of conflict within the zone. Maybe this can be it's own video in the future if you want. A sort of revisit of old zones you have 100% and checking out the Trials and DLC Dungeons that were released and placed within those zones. I don't want this to add more to your already massive task of 100%ing zones, I just really enjoy this series and I hope you experience a lot of the good ESO offers. Just pitching an idea!
Glad to see you are getting back into it so soon after the disaster of the last area! Also are you planning to do the trials when you get to Craglorn/DLC areas? If so it might be better to do those on stream cause some (especially craglorns/any normal) trials can be really hard to get groups for because of how old they are. I still haven't gotten SO completed because nobody runs them anymore. I know it's far away from now but it might be worth starting to think about! Keep up the videos, I look forward to them!
Also, it might be a good idea to make a playlist of each area once it's completed in chronological order so it's easier to find for new watchers when you get more content out there.
If they're not part of the zone-guide I don't "have to" by my rules. That would be fun to do for sure, if I was going to try them out, I would stream it and try to get a group together most likely. I already do have a playlist in Chronological order (link in the description!).
@@FrostbreakYT I see, I actually just rewatched the second video and saw that you made a playlist, that was my bad! I do think doing the Trials would be a fun addition even though they aren't on the zone guide. It's been awhile since I last played so I wasn't sure if Trials were included! Looking forward to your next video!
Will you do the main story in the future (the molag bal stuff)? I think it's required quest line if you don't want to teleport to Coldharbour zone via another player

Thank you so much that's very kind of you! I had a free weekend so I think I'm on schedule to drop the finale today! Thanks for the support
that's a really fun idea that you start over and have to work your way up. i might do that too, actually

damn the strip rule is brave, appreciate the effort man

Oooh, new rules. Will gear sets become part of your zone rankings, then? There are some fun ones to play around with out there.

The goat returns. Looking forward to the next installment. 👍
Thank you! Just started knocking out some of the POI's of Reaper's march today!
Me casually coming by checking if the next zone has been completed, edited, and uploaded 😅

This sounds fun to watch with the new rules and I hope its more fun to play as well!
Me too! I hope the story bosses will have me on the ropes if I run around (essentially) naked haha
I will now have to make myself try ESO again. Waiting on a new WJ List to download for Skyrim anyway. lol.
Best ESO series out there rn. Keep it up man
Thank you
Good luck! Hope you continue to have fun with ESO!
Me too
Somehow, these videos just keep getting better

Game will be more challanging after those changes. Especially no cp and no quality gear will make it harder. Good rules overall.
That's the idea! This is a challenge after all and I've felt recently it's a bit too easy. Thank you for the comment :)
Oh dayum, this is gonna get SUPER spicy now, let's goooooooooo!!!!!!!
that's the idea!

Yes! After I finish Reaper's March, I'm doing the main campaign (100% coldharbour) then Wrothgar (voted by my members).
Love your stuff it got me into playing again
That’s why he’s the goat
:D
Yay new video :)
not a "real" video but the next one will be coming soon!
I always say that getting naked makes things interesting! Doesn't work on job interviews tho, tryst me

plinK ( for algorithm)
This gives Pokémon Nuzlocke vibes.
(Love your videos BTW 😁)
