Thank you for mentioning all steps for grilling beginners like me
Of course!
thank you Jerry - yet another inspiration for Q owners. My personal tip? Preheat the spatula on the Q so you don't need any parchment paper. But- like always, very nice made, entertaining and mouth watering
This is a great tip! I had not heard that one before, but I can try that next time I make something like this!
@@ChicagoGriller yes, go ahead, it actually works. I am looking forward to your personal experiece
Got a Q1200 for Christmas and found your channel and subscribed. Got the griddle for it and did smash burgers for the first time tonight… followed your video on them and boy howdy, turned out perfect!
Just wanted to say thanks! Can’t wait to try more using your videos!
It’s a messy burger but it is the BEST way to make it!
Oh, this reminds me so much of the local burger shop when I was a teen (Angelo's). His patties were so thin and crisp and tasty. He cooked the onion separate and then built the burger when all were done. My fave combo was with beetroot, bacon, egg and cheese, with bbq sauce. Yumm. Thanks Jerry.
Is Angelo's a diner? You often see this kind of burger at a diner with a big griddle that they cook up behind the counter. Good stuff!
Nice job, Jerry.
Appreciate that! Thanks Michael!
Jerry,
Thank you for the videos. I got a blue q1200 just like you. My six year old daughter and I love watching your videos. We have made the smash burgers and the ahi so far. She can't wait until peach season so we can try your peaches a la mode.
Keep up the good work,
Chris and Lorelai
Thank you both for watching! The smash burgers were one of my favorite - and my preferred way of making burgers now. Hope you enjoy the grilled peaches once they're in season again!
Revisited this episode because I'm making these today. Thanks Jerry.
Awesome! This is a really good burger! Hope you enjoy!
@@ChicagoGriller great success! My 12 yr old son who is very picky loved it!
Looks delicious Jerry. Well done on the great video. Now that's a cheesy burger!!! Love it!
Thank you XMan! Thin and crispy burgers with a good ratio of cheese… gotta love it!
Hi Jerry. Your production skills are second to none. Very impressive. I'm still getting my feet wet with my Q1200. I found this video to be very inspriational. I don't have a griddle for my Q1200 and was wondering if you have a "go to" site for purchasing your Q grill accessories. Thank You.
Thank you for the kind comment. I don't know about second to none production skills, I'm still a video newbie (this channel was a pandemic project to teach myself some video editing skills), but I am enjoying making these quite a bit.
To be honest, I usually don't buy Weber accessories anymore, because they tend to be overpriced. I purchase most of my Q grill accessories off of Amazon, and haven't had any trouble with these third party items. The griddle that I am using now is this one: amzn.to/3yBkN4s
@@ChicagoGriller it was a snall take away (to go in the US) shop, which opened directly to the sidewalk. On the left as you entered was a counter to order, with a large flat top grill behind. Straight ahead was a chilled cabinet with treats like tarts and donuts. On the right were two large glass door fridges for drinks and a chest freezer for ice creams. This kind of store used to be very common, but are now mostly found in small towns outside the cities.
A piece of aluminum foil works really well to prevent sticking.
Great inspiration for uly 4th weekend! This is going to go on my list for making the most out of my baby-Q this summer!
Have a terrific weekend!
Looks fantastic! Gonna try this tomorrow
That’s awesome! Enjoy!!!
I just made these and they turned out great! Any tips on cleaning the griddle? It gets pretty messy after something like this.
I'm glad these turned out great! Actually, a griddle cleaning video is a great idea because as you know, they get really darn greasy really quickly! The very short answer is, try to push and/or wipe off as much grease from the griddle after the grill is off (you can push pooled grease into the cook box via the grease holes). Then hand wash in the sink after every use with soap and water. I'll try to get a video out on this topic in the next few weeks.
Looks fantastic and wonderfully messy!! Have a good 4th.......
The messier the better! Have a terrific holiday weekend!
Great video from Guinness to burger....
Always need a good beverage to wash down those yummy burgers :-)
Great recipe Jerry , those burgers looked awesome 👌👌👌
Thank you! So juicy and good!
I am wondering what temperature you had the bbq at when you put the meat balls on.
Set your gas knob to high - you want these to cook on as hot of a temp as you can get.
Hi there, Instructions for use for this particular weber spirit griddle, it says to keep temps no higher than 450-500F or it can damage the griddle. So we shall 'aim for just below that. Thankyou so much for replying. @@ChicagoGriller , great job presenting this recipe, very good. Many appear to absolutely love it. How does that make you feel?
An other masterpiece Jerry 😀
Thanks Les! Much appreciated as always!
Very very nice 😺
Thank you! 😊
Those are on the menu for tomorrow. Why have a regular burger when you can have a smash burger!
Love it! Yes it is a nice change from a regular burger. Enjoy!
I could smash a double smash burger immediately Jerry they look so delicious 🍔😋👍!!!
Have two!
We were horrified to hear about the deadly attack. Hope that you, family and friends are alright
Appreciate the well wishes and concerns. Crazy because Highland Park is not far from the suburb where I grew up, and I know the area reasonably well. This one hit a little too close to home.
