Absolutely stunning mate! I bought the app on the strength and speed of your work alone. But the work in this video especially is just absolutely top notch…..and under a couple of hours total…..bravo!
I've been a supporter for some time now. Seeing your work and hearing your background story and future roadmap REALLY has me excited for the future. Congrats to your success and thank you for all of your hard work! 🙏🏾
Thank you for doing such great videos you help me really a lot with sculpting in nomad and getting better in it so I really appreciate what ur doing! thanks a lot!!!
Newly subbed- and bought both courses. Will start Tomorrow. It would be great to see you take a model into zbrush for re-topo, or just see your further workflow.
Fantastic achievement, Glen. I stumbled across your channel late last year with no prior experience in 3D sculpting and your videos and courses since have helped me produce works that I wouldn’t have believed possible for me to do in such a short space of time. Continued success and I’ll be along to learn and watch the channel grow 👍
I love these so much, they are so helpful om showinf the level of realism/texture you van get in with Nomad. Thanks a bunch! This question is likely basic but haven't figured it out yet, how do you gey in that nice blurred image background? It really levels up the finish result! Is it just using the reference image/background? Is there a blur setting? This inspired me to check the settings again. I must have missed something because it always looks so good when you do it!
@@aroid_artist follow up question if you don't mind: Have you explored building out full 3d backgrounds to some success? I realized I can realistically only do a background that has at most 2 to 3 walls and have to get close to maintain the illusion
Thanks Glen. Truly amazing. Your helping and with my goals with the love of the tentacle with your latest work and the new features in nomad. How a bout an octopus video?
✊🍺🎩🎩🎩 Nice sculpt...I like where you’re going with this channel, especially for those pursuing their own path rather than a job at a studio. It’s a more comprehensive but necessary skill set required for an independent. ✌️
Congratulations! I come from a traditional background and really appreciate the help your channel has offered so far! Really look forward to mentoring!
New here and congrats Glen on the growth of the channel and sharing the knowledge to inspire! Just started watching some of the Nomad videos as Zbrush can be intimidating but in this video just saw your announcements for future videos for Zbrush, Procreate, Setting up a youtube channel and sell assets - looking forward to those :) keep going!
That sculpt looks awesome! I just found this channel, great teaching style, subscribed. I'm very interested in the new IPad and this software. I will be doing sculpts but would also like to design products for 3D printing - whether sculpts or things like Raspberry Pi cases which I'd like to design with the twist of being engraved or patterned in some way. Can this software also do squares with nice filleted edges, stuff like that? I'm quite sitting-at-a-desk averse but the iPad is quite expensive. Do you think this is a good purchase decision?
Hello! Really enjoyed this video. One question: how large do these fully done renders end up being? I can’t seem to find anything on it anywhere. Thanks!
Is the full-lenght video out? In the video you said you are going to release it in april 21 :( can't wait to sculpt this by my own with some of your help!
I hear it’s very similar but the Apple Pencil is something magical and I’m not an apple fanboy. I need to grab an Android soon so I can do some Android only videos.
Its so great that your channel is growing, and very fast! I've been following along since the beginning and it has greatly improved my ability to sculpt. Perhaps you could do a fur tutorial in the future? Its one thing I haven't been able to figure out and there aren't many tutorials online for it.
Big difference from where you were with the lighting right before the cut to the final. I look forward to the final video showing the edits you made to get that last render quality. You really are pushing the quality bar in Nomad to places I think many people didn't think were possible.
It’s just editing to feed the algorithm Kensie. I love posting the full video’s but UA-cam then penalises me. I have another channel for long format videos If people want them but I’m focussing heavily here first. Getting an hour and 45 into 10 mins is always a compromise. I am beginning to think that iPads are far more capable than I ever thought. I’m actually editing on mine now.
@@SouthernGFX Totally understand. UA-cam seems to do everything they can to hurt content creators. Its been sad to see the content decline over the last 5 to 10 years. Gotta do what you can! I'm still looking forward to the last rendered touches to get the real impact the final has. Great work. I'm very impressed.
Being a beginner in this whole 3d design world in terms of modeling I’m not sure if this answer. But can you achieve a fully finished model on nomad sculpt for let’s say a game asset or something like that, in which case I could sell and make money with ?
So it’s up to you but there’s a few watch outs. Higher res gives better results obviously. I make my ZBrush alphas as large as 4096x4096. That’s just insane for the ipad so I did some tests and to keep file size down I went with 512x512 for most and 1024x1024 for more detail. On a pc I make them all large to give maximum detail then just batch re-size them down as needed. On the iPad I’d start small and test a few on your models first before making a load of them. A couple of people have told me that lots of large ones loaded into Nomad can cause issues so tread carefully. I’ve not had an issue on the ipad 2020.
Awesome Glenn!! I am now getting a pro to use nomad on as I am looking for a chilled way to do some sculpting away from my desktop....just curious what ram option you have to get good performance?
Thank you for the video. I am wondering how you can push the details this far. I know that I need to play in low poly , but still can’t get it right. It crashes sometimes, is there a specific number in the vowel remesh I need to stay close to?
CONGRATS @SOUTHERNGFX ! BUT EXACTLY HOW ARE YOU SAVING YOUR CREATED BRUSHES AT THE BOTTOM OF YOUR BRUSH PALLETTE? YOU DIDN'T ACTUALLY GET TO SHOW HOW YOU HAD DONE SO! SO COULD YOU PLEASE INFORM ME AS SOON AS POSSIBLE AS TO EXACTLY WHAT YOUR DOING TO SAVE THOSE?
@@SouthernGFX are you talking about the create rhe dam standard brush? Yes ive seen that video, but how do i save them as i don't see you saving the brush or im just blind! Lol
Sorry but zbrush curves still suck. Yeah you can use custom meshes with them but the basic action of drawing them is very unwieldy and unintuitive way to do it. They just keep adding bandage on top to remedy the issue but they still haven’t fixed the core of the issue. Nomad got this right from the get go.
The fact that this is only an hour+ of work blows my mind. Thanks for the vid and the overview of those tools, very helpful!
Glad it was helpful!
“Starting to get a shape I like” *better than anything I’ve ever been able to create*
