I love nomad. Never done 3d sculpting before and blender was very difficult to learn so I gave up on it. People like you and @ProcreateFX continue to provide excellent support and tutorials. I almost wish I paid more to get Nomad. 14$ feels like such a cheap buy in when you consider how much this product has grown and continues to evolve.
Totally agree. When I first found Nomad and saw the price, I figured it would be trash. But it's a truly amazing app. It actually worries me about the app's sustainability.
Ok I'm still super green when it comes to 3D modeling but your tutorials are the best I've found. Manipulating an object's faces in a controlled manner is something I've been trying to learn how to do and I just discovered selmask like a week ago - your use of lowpoly to manipulate the shape makes so much sense! I NEVER would have found this out on my own, and I've been struggling to manage file sizes in Nomad as a result. Thank you SO much.
Hahaahah I wish Kai would pop up and do a skin for Nomad!!! Imagine all those crazy icons he would make for us ;) I hope you are keeping well my friend.
LOVE your style of teaching, so relaxed and easy to watch. I've actually gone ahead and purchased the full bundle on your website, and I've been binging some of your free content here on UA-cam as well. Completely new to Nomad, but I've taken a couple of classes on Skillshare - yours is FAR better than any of the ones I've seen on there!
Thanks you so much. Comments like that really help build confidence and make me want to do more. All the Nomad courses are about to be updated as the interface is being changed so much and awesome new tools added every week. The updates are all free and just get uploaded to your account. Make sure you join the groups and share your progress.
@@SouthernGFX That's fantastic! And yes, I absolutely will be! I've just been browsing the groups, actually, and seeing all the amazing artwork in there!
I always learn so much with you! You’re the reason I started with Nomad Sculpt, and I’m glad to tell you I’m having a blast and improving each day! Thank you so much for sharing your experience!
great content, love your demonstration of low poly modeling and the curve tool, your videos are among the best nomad sculpt tutorials on youtube. This really makes me consider taking your T-rex course you offer, you definitely know what you are doing and your teaching style is entertaining yet at a pace that is good to follow.
I wonder if it’s possible to continue working on other parts of the model without validating, so it’s possible to go back and modify the curve later? Thanks for a great tutorial
Would it be advantageous to paint before all the curving if you’re joining it like that? Any advice for painting items like this? A bit of pre planning. I feel like the white torus portion really brings out the mechanical nature of it.
Glen I appreciate your videos! I realized that I haven't seen one from you in awhile, so I need to go back to discover what else you have been doing. I haven't been sculpting much for the past 6 months or so which is crazy. just started a model for a board game im playing with my kids. with all the new changes, since I don't know many of the terms used in sculpting still, did they ever make it easier to apply textures around a form without them stretching? or repeating patterns like scales or chain mail armor in ways like your done here with tentacles? you're amazing! thanks for all your generosity in helping all of us!
Love this! One question: do you never click "validate" on the curve if you still want to edit it later? But you can still export the model if not validated? I didn't know it when I clicked on the video but this is exactly what I needed to learn for an idea I have coming up. Thank you!
I do not have all the edit tools to in the curve menue once I set an item to curve.. I can set the number of segments but I can not resize and shrink the segments with the radius button. I have the full version 1.71. Please help
This is WAYYYYYY over complicated. I just want to bend a cylinder bro. 😂😂😂 I didn’t come here for 11 minutes of you flexing your sculpting skills before you even talk about what the vid title is about. 😂😂😂
Thanks for the feedback. I’ll take a watch again as I take a comment like that quite personally. Hopefully I can improve in the future. I haven’t been accused of ‘flexing’ before so that’s going to make me think more about my presentation style.
Nomad's come such a long way
I agree - it's been 2.5 years and it is such an amazing app.
It's nuts. I don't get much time to use it so every time, it's like a new app! Fair play to the devs
@@timmanning5206 only one dev behind this app :)
@@usmanmughalart2834 all the more impressive
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 I just picked it back up on the past 2 weeks and it seems so much more Intuitive.
Heck yeah! Playing around with this later this weekend
Let me know how you get on!

I'm so blown away with all these tutorials!
Thank you, I appreciate your comment.
Great video, I just tried looking for your friend Ian’s channel but couldn’t find anything, would you mind sharing a link?
Didn't know about this feature at all. Nice lite gift to get this evening.
Thanks for your comment. Its the gift that keeps on giving!
Cool Video! THX 😊 - Can we use Repeater to make couple of Cameras instead of Objects? How to make that? Hierarchy to put Camera instead of Object?
Looked but couldn't find that ian crichton fellow you mentioned. Would you care to drop a link? Love your videos, thanks!

I don’t know if I can enjoy this program, Glen. There’s not enough Kai Krause. 🤪🤪 Great explanation. Really helping me transition to this tool

Mind blown! Thanks for the awesome vid, Glen!

the last bit with the chainsaw made me inspired: chainsaw with human teeth instead of metal teeth :)

Anyone have a link to Ian Crichton's video mentioned at 15:53? I wanted to see the organic version of this too. Not finding anything on UA-cam.
Quick question...what in your post-processing is giving that fun "line art" effect? :)
Curvature

Well I hope the video helps with that,
@@SouthernGFX really thanks for your efforts ♥️
Can you use the curve tool on a solid tentacle?
Does anyone know the max frame original number I changed my an it looks weird
I can’t find Ian Crichton’s UA-cam channel
Curve tool starts 12:25
Ask and ye shall receive lol.🎉🎉
That's Nomad for you!
It is brilliant though... Isn't it
