True, that's one of the awesome things about op, almost no fillers unlike other animes, so I guess it works that they go slow, though at times it can be frustrating, but I guess a good solution is to not watch for 2 or 3 weeks at a time then watch 3 epiisodes, week by week episodes move too slowly at times.

Because of that I got an insight into how the whole transition from manga to anime worked. That's why I highly recommend you read the whole manga like I did to get where the animators are coming from and how Oda has planned this whole shit out before even the first chapter was published.
That's why I started to read the manga because I first watched the dubbed anime and then funimation stopped dubbing a couple years ago, so then I started the subbed anime where they stopped dubbing and caught up to where the subbed anime currently was and got impatient. So, I read the chapter that the episode was based on and caught up to where the manga was too. So, then this year I read the manga from start to current and compared the manga to the anime.

Chaa!! Try 14hr marathon days for ep1-400 in 2wks. That shit almost killed me! Also it took me a month this year to reread ch1-641 (thoroughly). i highly recommend reading or rereading every manga chapter. it gives a perspective on how oda is a master planner and a very patient man.
i swear by like the 2nd month I got rid of the weekbyweek feeling and then the rest of the months flew by. I think i only got back into op is b/c my friend said she was starting to watch op which got me back into the op game. and i have a feeling after the fishman island arc there is going to be a short filler arc so the main anime team can get ready for the next arc, punk hazard. Which in my opinion is way better than fishman island.
