Footage from the Joe Strummer Tribute at the Tabernacle in West London, April 20th, 2003 where the remaining members of the 101ers are joined on stage by Mick Jones
That's not exactly correct. In 1973 J✪E formed a band called The Vultures when HE was in Wales to attend the Newport College of Art. In 1974, when J✪E moved back to London, formed The 101'ers with Tymon Dogg and many other musicians. About Mick and Paul "bumps" into J✪E in Portobello market, it's a well know story well recounted in "All the Young Punks (New Boots and Contracts)". Anyway, this is not so important and you are TOTALLY RIGHT about your love for HIM! I love J✪E too! RIP :'(
This looks like it's at the Tabernacle, the Strummer 'in memory of' gig? Just read the description, it was, I was there I live two streets away, great gig. I've still got the poster that Vic Goddard was giving out to the audience after the show.
As a musician ,if I looked over to see Mick Jones on stage with me playing Janie Jones I might faint.Maybe.
When the song got to the end and the fans started singing no oh no oh lett them know,it was big time goose bumps for me.
Fucking great staff!. Great to see Mick Jones discretely joining in. Could not resist could he!.A fantastic night, just as joe would have liked!
Beautiful!
Wish I was there as any local should be!
On ye fckin go Mick 👍👊👏👏👏
“Fill ‘er up Jacko!”
The clash ......................

I think Joe was also in a group called The Rip Off Park Allstars . He first encountered Mick and Paul in a West London dole office .
