They show Dexter driving in his car (with the pink lights instead of green) getting ready to go slaughter somebody and I’m just sitting there like “tonight’s the night... tonight’s the night..” and it never happened! They just straight up 86’d the best part of the show. Lol.

Dexter and 6 Feet Under had super-cool intros. I think the only other one that I loved was from the Sopranos. I never tried to get past those sequences. Yes, they all had super-amazing actors, the best scripts, and all sorts of things about which I have no right to comment. I was amazed by all. And grateful.
In quarantine I watched Dexter. Now I'm watching six feet under. My 7yo says "I thought you were done with dexter!" I said "well I'm done, but I'm watching this show now." She says "that sure looks like dexter to me!"

I wouldn't watch a spin-off, and I'm glad the show ended when it did. Every concept has a shelf life, and I'm glad they didn't keep doing the show until people started to hate it. I'll quote the late Johnny Carson. When asked why he was leaving "The Tonight Show", he responded by saying "I'd rather have people ask 'Why did you quit?' rather than 'Why didn't you quit?'". -- DEXTER SPOILER ALERT -- I don't hate how "Dexter" ended, but it could have been better. Personally, I think the only fitting ending to a show like that is for him to die. Not because he killed so many people, and there had to be some sort of justice. But only because the show is so dark that him dying seems like the best way to end it. I think he should have been caught, convicted, and electrocuted, but many people would have morned for him -- including the justice system that killed him.
I want Harrison to follow his grandfather's and aunt's footsteps and he is a detective back in Miami, he gets the echos of his fathers past and then is pulled into a search for him, but end of episode 2, you are getting a hint that he is more like his father than he ever thought. Torn between his father's method of vengeance and his own grounded sense of justice.
Watched every single episode of Dexter. Finished binge watching the first season of Safe. When is more stuff with Michael Hall coming out? BTW Safe is worth watching. Although I don’t think it surpasses Dexter. Safe is more like a darker version of Desperate Housewives. And Michael’s British accent was kinda funny.
I've seen six feet under years ago and it was one of my all time favorite. It's definitely different from everything else at the time. Even today the idea would be considered edgy and original. Thanks guys for sharing! 😄❤️

Michael C. Hall is a great actor. Iconic roles are like a brand. Look at people like Molly Ringwald. It took her forever to move past the John Hughes films of the 1980s. That said, if you have the skills and hang in there long enough, then another good role will come along.
Just the fact that he's an American playing someone with an English accent speaks volumes about him as an actor and his passion for acting, IMO. We've seen so many actors from overseas who play Americans, who do a great accent, to where we're becoming surprised every year when we find out someone we saw in something has a foreign accent. MCH flipping the script, so to speak, is so aware and poignant. They could've had any old "bloke" over there play Tom but MCH obviously turned some heads.
