Is there a noticable difference? - OneUP Carbon Bars - 90 Second Review

- I bought these bars because everyone talks about how great they are. I was using the Santa Cruz carbon bars beforehand and to be quite honest, I can't really tell a difference. At the end of the day, I do like having carbon bars and I'll go on the reviews of everyone else saying they are amazing!

Good review! I have the OneUp handlebars and I agree with your final thoughts.
Right on!
I also have multiple sets of these. I also have a set of Chromag 35mm carbon bars, and those are good(a lot less buzzy than an AL bar), and the OneUp are noticeably better than the Chromag(which I like a lot). I for one, can feel the difference pretty clearly from the OneUp to anything else I have ever ridden. So.....personally, the hype is legit!
Right on! It’s hard to tell the difference be them and my Santa Cruz bars.
Good review man. I went with the Trail One carbon bars recently (on sale). Will be spring before I can try them out. I think they're pretty similar the the OneUp bars.
I’ll have to try those sometime
Hey Robert, just discovered your channel. Avid mountain biker from Canada. Love your energy and content. Keep it up man!
Awesome! Thank you!
I'm with you. I have no complaints about my One Up bars, although I don't have much experience with many others. I've never had he itch to try anything different so I guess they are working well.
Seems about right. 😂
I liked the carbon bars that came on my Giant Trance Adv. +0 EMTB, and these One Up bars are almost the same spec, but, I was having hand pain and numbness about 5 minutes in on my favorite single track. I've been running the One Ups for a month now and my hand pain is all but gone. They work!
I'm digging them. They are on all my bikes now.
Definitely want to try these. I'll use your link if I do!
Thanks dude!
i noticed a huge difference going from testing out several aluminum bars to the oneup carbon bars, so much more comfortable. They are not overrated, they are the best on the market as far as i know. But to be fair I haven't tried any other carbon bars to compare.
I think for me coming from a similar bar it’s hard to tell.
One Ups are best I’ve used!
I’ve had Renthal and RaceFace carbon bars (but in 31.8mm clamp guise) and the One Ups are noticeably more compliant than those two.
I sprang for the OU carbon bar after a year on the new bike which has 35mm clamp (which I’d never used before). After a year of suffering hand fatigue and pain which I’d never had before, the OU bars are perfect!
I'm curious which aluminum bars you tested? I'm currently riding with PNY bars. While I like them, am curious on difference between these and the One Ups. Thanks!
Best carbon bars in the business!
I totally agree...I think. LOL!
They are definitely stiffer than Race Face SIXC35 horizontally, those flexed in every direction, a lot, they were super comfy, but not sure vertically, not had same rise and not tested head to head on same bike.
But if you don't angle the bar right, it will be very harsh.
A thing to note is installing bar end plugs requires you to loosen them more than with an round hole bar, as the bar is not completely round, due to the less round shape adding stiffness.
Another thing is the coating scratches off easily.
I didn’t notice an issue with the coating
@@B1KER Not a big issue. Sb. told me about it, an it was the case for me. mostly where you mount brake and shifter, But that happen on Sixc35 too.
I just picked up these bars. I can tell the difference.
Right on! Like I said I have them on both my MTB’s. I must like them.
Can I shorten the handlebar for a smaller person?
Yep, you cut them down.
they are supposed to flex DH and be stiff uphill
Basically they have enough compliance to keep them from feeling jarring, but are stiff in all the right ways.
That stem looks cool
Yeah, it's a good looking one. It's done a great job holding my handlebars so far. LOL! I have no clue how people say one stem is better than another.
EDIT: First Off! Everyone should use the B1KER link and buy these bars to see for yourself!!! They Are Awesome so use the link when buying them!!!!!
I feel that same way. Like longer or shorter I feel a difference in stems but with all the 30mil beefy stem out there right now that would've been downhill stem 8 years ago, they all feel the same to me aswell. Same with Carbon vs alloy handlebars.
I have carbon bars now and my issue is with how many UA-cam videos I've seen were the bar snaps and then impaled a rider. This will be my first and last carbon bars for the price but atleast now I know there is no real difference for myself. 👍
