Nice comparison vid and nice shooting! I bought a VP9 two years ago but was actually disappointed. Could be because I had a Walther PPQ and Sig P320 prior to the HK and absolutely loved those two. Picked up a VP40 last month and it's amazing! So far it's my favorite pistol in .40 along with the IWI Baby Eagle and Sig P229. With the way my VP40 has performed it might convince me to try the VP9 again someday.
They are definitely a nice gun for sure. And I'm sorry to hear that you were disappointed in the VP9. And if you like the VP40 and have become accustomed to it I'm sure if you give the VP9 another chance you will probably really enjoy shooting it. I've carried a glock 33 for 20 years and just got the vp9. love this gun beats glock in every way IMO. I'm thinking about getting the vp40 and changing the barrel to .357sig. I see you guys up in mass have that 10 round limit like us in ct. really sucks after waiting for the braidy bill to expire. another good looking pistol is the ppq classic but I think in the looks department the vp9 has it beat. let's keep are fingers crossed state bans and regulations get wiped out.

That is really odd because the standard color is black for this fire arm. I'm at a loss but here is the H&K web site hk-usa.com/hk-models/vp9/ maybe this will help my friend.
I have had the VP 9 and I just got the 40 with the 357 barrel I can't wait go shooting I got rid of my glock 40 get my vp9 hopefully I will like the way the 40 shoot's better than a Glock

The Owner of the Gun shop i got my VP40 from said he wished he could sell more of these but he doesn't sell many because of the price, he also said he thinks they're better than Glock and he carries a Glock.

I have never review the H&K P30 so I will be of little help in that department will. From my understanding the USP 45 compact may become Massachusetts compliant and if so I will be picking this one up. I carry the VP 40 and absolutely love the way this gun shoots. Personally I think the felt recoil is minimal in both of these handguns. The VP 40 is closer in size to the Glock 23 as it is a compact and the Glock 22 is the full-size 40 caliber. The Glock 22 will have considerably less felt recoil being a full-size 40 Cal. But the VP 40 has good weight which makes for manageable recoil and reliable follow-up shots. You really can't go wrong with the VP 40, the Glock 22, or my favorite handgun the Glock 23. I hope this helps answer your question my friend and as always thanks for watching.

@@fearnonebutone4977 my 23 is my main carry gun and is in my waistband more than any other gun I own. The only thing I did to my 23 was put a stainless guide rod in it and added the green night sites. The heavier guide rod cut down on felt recoil a little bit. I thought the VP 40 was going to replace the 23 but I was mistaken LOL.

Anyone know if both the vp40 and vp9 can use the same holster? I'm wanting to get the alien shape shift core holster set for my vp40 but only shows it available for the vp9. Thanks for any help.
I'm not sure about the holster that your referencing but I do know I use the in the waistband from White Hat Holsters. And I use the same holster for both the VP40 and the VP9. I hope this helps my friend and as always thanks for watching.

I've shot close to 3000 rounds through my VP9 and not once did I have my finger pinched. Yet, several people report this as a prominent problem. So I went ahead and intentionally tried to pinch my finger with the trigger and still... nothing. hahah
That's funny my friend, it only happened on the first magazine and I held my finger higher on the trigger where it should've been all along and there was no problem. And it could be the size of the finger or shape of the finger that lets a get in there and get pinched. I don't see it as a big problem myself and doesn't change my mind about how well this firearm handles. And when it comes right down to it it has replaced my Glock 23. And we all know I'm a huge Glock fan :-) thanks for stopping by and watching my friend.
Oh no problem! In spite of being a big gun enthusiast, I've never shot a glock before. How does the VP9 shooting stand against the Glocks? Does the Glock feel like driving a car with little suspension or feel like butter? How would you compare the two when it comes to actually firing.
VARZ Well for me I love the trigger on the Glock but with that being said the H&K VP9 & VP40 both at a much better trigger. So if I said the Glock was a Cadillac the H&K's are a Mercedes-Benz.

It has been so long ago since I made this video that I forgot how many different configurations I even said there was. But there is a lot. And you don't have to pull the trigger to break it down but I am a avid Glock user so I would pull the trigger even if not needed. Thanks for watching.

Highpoint has improved their guns that's for sure and I do on one Highpoint. Personally I like the H&K VP line and the price has come down on these quite a bit from when I bought these. I guess it's like everything else in life everyone has their preference to what they like and don't. I used to drive nothing but Ford now I drive Chevy go figure LOL. The VP40 is both accurate & flat shooting. Sights return to target quickly between rounds as well.

Did you have those custom cerakoted or were they a special order. Can't find them in that color but they look really sharp.

The regular sights aren't bad, they illuminate I'd charged...I didn't see the need to upgrade them

Just buy a High Point , what you got is a 300 dollar gun , is a bad gun , you just paying for a name with it
Highpoint has improved their guns that's for sure and I do on one Highpoint. Personally I like the H&K VP line and the price has come down on these quite a bit from when I bought these. I guess it's like everything else in life everyone has their preference to what they like and don't. I used to drive nothing but Ford now I drive Chevy go figure LOL.
