Thank goodness for the south coast Haynes manual We are still on episode 1475 with the handlebars, and this explains how easy they are to change over 😂 have you ever thought about getting a monkey bike 🏍 you could reach the handlebars quite easily on that 🤣🤣
Another good vid! If it could help anyone in the future, in my case on the 750 you can take the top tree off with the ingnition still on.For the security bolts i had the tree in the vice an a good impact drill did the trick.I was kind of worried for that part as well.
@@krosfala I should’ve traced the wires back and unplugged it so I could’ve undone the bolts somewhere more convenient. . . but, no excuse 🤷♂️, I didn’t 🫣🤣. So yes you’re absolutely right with your advice, better to take it off👌. On one of my bikes I did actually use a long extension to come up from underneath which was less faff than in this video but also not as sensible as removing the ignition altogether 🤷♂️. . . live ‘n’ learn . . . hopefully 🤣
@@bikerantics5001 Your vids are very helpfull and took a lot of stress off me. I think i had to cut a straight line on the heads on the security bolts. If i remember correctly on the 750 K8 they don t have any head for a tool.Maybe it had these weird torx with a hole, or nothing at all.Can t remember for sure,it s been about 3-4 years now. Anyway just wanted to say that you probably help more people than you know of.Take care man!
Thanks for the kind words🙏 I think some security bolts are designed that the heads snap off when tightened, so you could’ve had headless bolts to cut a groove into👍.
I bought this Abm kit cause u can change back to clip-ons.... Do u know any human beeing who can actually go through all of this for a 2nd time and survive to tell the story? :P
@@bikerantics5001 Yeah, that s my view too. Maybe after a year of vacations in Hawai i could gather the mental strengh necessary to turn it back to clip-ons :) But i really like it with the handlebar. I took it back in track and actualy found it ok and far more relaxed n easy.Maybe not good for lap record but pretty good for my lazy a@@ :)
Just when you think you need a night out to the comedy club, STOP just tune into the Haynes manual, and your life seems all good again 🤣🤣
I thought this video was as tedious as the rest🤷♂️, you’re easily pleased 🤣😂
The saga that is the new handlebars!
One of the meanings of the word saga is ‘a long story of heroic achievement’🤣, so thanks Nev🙇😂
I've just fit some ABM adjustable clip ons to my 2004 gsxr1000 WHAT A PAIN IN THE ASS!!! I went through two throttle sleeves 😢
But is the difference worth the pain🤔

Episode 1475 and not even half way, how exciting 🥳.
If only they did a monkey bike . . . or a Van Van with the heart of a Busa 👌

Jeez, I was getting vexed just watching that lol..what a bloody faff and chew on!..hope it’s plain sailing for the rest of it 😆🤞🏼
‘Vexed’ 😱, sorry I’ll start putting warnings at the start of my videos😂
I hope it’s not plain sailing coz, along with mechanics, I can’t sail either😢🫣
