The under $12 total is the price of the parts, plus shipping, with the 10% off code "OFFERS" used. I don't know of any expiration date on that code, so use it!
hello sir, breach , catch and spring for retaliator elite link can't be found already , any new updated links? thanks,, ( get well soon my friend ).... : (
Haha I think Tisha is getting more popular than me 😂. Funny one of my viewers said to me the other day "I was watching a video by Mongoose Jake and he mentioned you in it. Friend of yours?" Haha. He said it was in the Recon video so I assumed it was this one but I remember watching this and listening to see if you would mention Tisha but I didnt hear it. Was really nice of you to do this. We still haven't modded that Recon 🤐 but we been working on other stuff.
my 9kg spring for the retaliator cant be caught by the metal worker catch n spring any idea on how to make it work? i reverted back to the 7kg one in the time being
Those simple mods really help, but whenever you can, toss in the Worker breech. It has better contact with the darts and provides a better air seal. Great gains for only a few bucks!
Thanks, I figured I'd have a bit of fun and the thought of joking about smashing open a blaster hit me, lol. Now on a serious note, if you're going to mod your Retaliator, you can do this, and then add Worker's expanded plunger tube and plunger rod (the ones for the Prophecy) and get serious performance without going broke. The expanded plunger tube would require some cutting of the shell, so if you don't want to do that, this quicker mod will consistently get you around 120 FPS.
Most Worker parts retailers should have them, NFStrike just used to be quite a bit cheaper but had longer wait times on getting your parts. Out of Darts is an option.
I mean, couldn't you also just plug the air release hole on the breech with a bit of hot melt or two-part? What's the difference between a re-sealed breech tube and the worker aftermarket part in terms of performance?
@@kittenclaws5775 No worries, I figured that people would have that question, and that's specifically why I decided to show the difference. If you resealed the stock breech, you'll gain performance, but the extra contact that the Worker breech has with the foam dart makes a huge difference. Keep in mind that the Worker breech is under $3 and takes just minutes to install. It's worth it alone even if you're not doing any other upgrades!
So ya know how the retaliator and the recon have those tubes coming out of the stock attachment point? Am I able to just saw that off and sand it down or will that interfere wih something?
Just a mag adaptor really. Once you get rid of the stock breach you remove the issue. Half lengths won't touch the AR, so it stays closed when using a stock blaster. Using a aftermarket or custom made breach gets rid of the AR altogether, so no worries!
Well, both internals are 99% identical. Only real difference is the Recon MkII has holes in the breech to reduce FPS, but the Worker breech is superior vs both the Recon and Retaliator. Dart fit is hugely improved, which helps the efficiency of any other mod you plan, even if it's just a spring upgrade.
Absolutely, as they take the same springs due to near identical internals. The Recon MkII is quite simply a variant of the Retaliator. It just happens to be my favorite over the original.
You remove the locks specifically so you can de-prime the blaster manually to avoid dry firing (firing with no dart loaded). It also helps you if you have a jam and need to manually cycle the blaster in order to clear a jam. The only reason to ever leave locks in is on stock blasters that kids are going to use.
Sadly NFStrike stopped selling most of the parts for modding Nerf, but Worker still makes them, just have to search for other sellers such as Amazon, Monkeemods.com, outofdarts, and lots of sellers on ebay or etsy.
@@MongooseJakeNerf thank you. Still loving this video... Been looking at metal barrel extension with a cs-6 barrel, but what is the best size piping ?? Please
I modded mine for maybe 3 or 5 dollars. I modded mine by doubling up the mainspring with two other springs. I took out the jam door, then sealed the vent holes with tape and added a stronger catch spring and trigger springs. Now the dart shoots even further than ever.

Crazy this video is 4 years old. One of the first Nerf videos I ever saw and a whole year before I bought my Aeon Pro and got way into the hobby lol.
Time really flies doesn't it?

not bad! I won't need this mod guide (I already have an xpt worker power kit), but I shall show it to my friends so that they can mod their one!
I have a Recon that sort of lobs the darts out. Might be time to try this stuff...
my 9kg spring for the retaliator cant be caught by the metal worker catch n spring
any idea on how to make it work?

I have a recon cs-6, and I modded it with covering the hole, and removing the AR. I can see a noticeable difference in the range!

Oved the crowbar and hammer gag. Great work as always man, I needed a guide for my Reta, so thanks !

Once again, thanks Snake man. Looking forward to your future content.
@MongooseJakeNerf looks like nfstrike no longer sells thee parts where can we get them now any idea?

Rewatched it and you talk about that. that's what I get for skipping parts xD

A better option is to replace them with the Worker stock attachment point. A bit sturdier and only a couple of bucks most places.
After all of this modding, other than an adapter, what would it take to make it fire half-darts?
Just a mag adaptor really. Once you get rid of the stock breach you remove the issue. Half lengths won't touch the AR, so it stays closed when using a stock blaster. Using a aftermarket or custom made breach gets rid of the AR altogether, so no worries!
VERY HELP FUL thank you
Glad to help!
@@MongooseJakeNerfim going to try it out but orange mod works is out of spripns i think but 5kg's
@@owwwgaming978 You can always run a different brand of spring. Any 7 or 8 kg Retaliator size spring will do the trick!
if you have a retaliator is the breach necessary? or do you only need it for the recon?

@@MongooseJakeNerf hello sir where Can I buy the worker breech?
@mongoosejake looks like links are all dead and nfstrike no longer sells the parts do you know where we can get these parts now?
Struggling to find a retaliator
econ mk2 breech.
What spring should I get if I want it to hit 90-100 fps?
5 or 6 kg would do it.
Is the retaliator spring same for recon mk2 ??
Yes, completely cross compatable.
Is a 7kg spring suitable for the rampage?
Yes, the BlasterParts kit would be my go-to for the Rampage. Planning to do one of them myself sometime this spring.
Can i do the same mods on a rampage i have?
how many pounds is the spring?
Hey good video do you think you could put a 6kg that’s meant for the retaliator for the MKll??
Absolutely, as they take the same springs due to near identical internals. The Recon MkII is quite simply a variant of the Retaliator. It just happens to be my favorite over the original.
Hi if I don't have orange mod works lubricant, is there other stuff I can use?
I personally also use Worker's version, it's a bit lighter but works well.
@@MongooseJakeNerfwhat sort of lubricant can i use ??
Does the stock catch snap with a 7kg spring?
Not right away, but it can become a issue down the road. Eventually a replacement bolt sled as well, but not needed right away.
@@MongooseJakeNerf OK thanks a lot
actually, loaner blasters would be good for this cheap!!!
Can that breach work on a elite alpha trooper?
So can you do a video on the eat, it’s not buzz bee but it would be cool
@Barry Keating I guess I did lol
Hi, how many kg is that spring?
7 KG
