Very nice presentation. I think the patter or story (if it's good) is always the most important and entertaining part of a trick. Tricks where the performer just mechanically describes or narrates what he/she is doing fall flat, no matter how baffling the trick may be.
That’s pretty easy to do just act liek you messed up the shuffle and just be like oh that’s fine or do a false cut or somthing with is also pretty easy
If you get two 2s drawn it’s perfect. Make aces worth 11 if drawn first or a two is drawn first and everything will work out fine. This is a solid beginner trick.

I like how he called it an easy trick and then proceeded to make us shuffle but somehow keep the 4 cards on top

It’s actually pretty easy if you know how to riffle shuffle the deck. A little practice will help.

What happens if the first card they draw is Ace 2 or 3?

You can easily count an ace as eleven. Or simply cut the counting stack more than twice.
It’ll still work every time.
It would suck if they picked up an ace-4😂
Count the Ace as eleven or simply do a 3rd cut if needed
