R142 - 2 Train to New Lots Avenue Announcements [via 3 line]

- During the AM Rush hour, a few 2 and 4 trains run to New Lots avenue via the 3 line and then to the yard.
Recorded these announcements on one of those scheduled trains. - Авто та транспорт
The “this is a New Lots Av bound 2 train” announcement sounds similar to “this is a New Lots Av bound 3 train” announcement
they have "this is a new lots avenue bound" as it's own announcement, then if it's a 2 train they'll put "2 train" right after (same with the 3)
I really love the announcement at 0:57 where Charlie Pellett says Connection is available to the Long Island Rail Road with the R142 and Charlie Pellett Mix Propulsion!

@@Trainy161 there was an experiment where announcements were way shorter. For example, “2 to new lots avenue. Next stop: (next stop)
Note some 5 trains even go to New Lots Ave
I like the 2 train to New Lots.
Needs some other reprogramming of strip maps, of rerouted stops, the 2 and 5 has theirs!

PhoneSystemHero It was a trial run on one set of R142s, but I think they abandoned that test, the programs were updated recently and they still have the original announcements.
I saw a news article from May from the ny post saying they are shortening Charlie pellets closing door announcement on the 2/5 and will later shorten more announcements. But they we'rent too specific

The 3 should just get it's own NTT's but the mta doesn't have the money for that =(

There are a few 2 trains that terminate at New Lots Avenue and then go into Livonia Yard for mid day storage. Also, the Flatbush Ave terminal is very poorly designed as it was supposed to be an intermediate stop with the line going further. It has limited capacity, so they send some rush hour 5 trains to Crown Heights Utica Ave and a couple 2 trains go to New Lots. Generally they give the 2 priority over the 5 when it comes to getting terminal slots at Flatbush.

3 is better then the 2 service is poor not the 3 the 2 was poor
