The detail work you do is what makes a job like this look so nice. Carefully masking the mating surfaces, and painting (most)😊 of the hardware just makes a restoration look so nice when completed. This tractor will look beautiful, and be a capable machine that will work for a lifetime. ❤

Pete.... The Super "C" sure is looking sharp....! Lot's of detail to pay attention to.... if you're gonna do it, might as well do it right... bcuz if ya don't, ya gotta do it all over again...! Here's one for ya.... I bought a 96 Ford Explorer SUV 4 dr, rear wheel drive, 4.0 ltr. v-6 gasoline Engine back in 2009. About a month ago the Radiator went bad, it's got a plastic tank and an Aluminum Core. I got 3 estimates to have it replaced at local repair shops. #1: $693.17, Radiator -$448.99, engine coolant $18.99, no new Hoses. #2: $772.67, same radiator & coolant, hose kit $61.40, 4-clamps @ $3.00 each. #3: Different Shop, $866.26, Radiator $599.98, coolant $38.85, Transmission fluid $7.95, labor $153.00
I went to Automotive school in RI so I wouldn't have to pay Repair a shop big bucks. I got a replacement Radiator on Amazon $144.50 w/free shipping, bought hoses/coolant/clamps/trans.fluid all locally, the whole is under $200.00, my labor Free..! I may have told all that earlier...? =)

Hi Pete! A few episodes ago you cleaned out your chimney flew for your stove. You said that you heated your house through the winter with this stove, and I was curious if you could make a video just on your stove (maintenance, efficiency, winter prep, etc.), how it fits into your “argument for simplicity”, and why you chose it over other systems. I’m considering whether central heating or a stove or two around the house is the superior option. Your commentary and perspective would help a lot! Thank you for your videos, and good luck in the future!

I approve the camera change, really makes ya see the true vibrant colors. Most of the things are very self explaining in the video. The unpainted alternator dose not bother me personally at all. It is what it is and if it dose it's job than let it just be like that. Are the pedal pivots greaseable on this tractor?

Hey Pete. Still watching. love this one with all the shining newly painted parts going back together! Its keeping me inspired. was nice to see the rebuild on the fan assembly. I was pondering how that set up worked. every one I've seen was leaking oil around that shaft. And that's what I don't want on my newly painted engine. Looks like your your rebuild should work well. So my tactic ......before I started watching your Chanel ...was to just by one of those after market fan assemblies with grease sealed roller bearings. And I did. Made in china and looks like it. I plan to unbolt original fan blades and install onto new shaft and pulleys. However after watching your rebuild I might give it a go. I still just can't wrap my mind around how oil does not come out around that shaft without some kinda seal. and yes...that thing seems over engineered. Im getting close to bolting the torque tube back onto the trans case on my super a. Oh and I get it about painting the bolts for all the parts I've taken off to paint before reinstall. Ive actually cleaned ,primed and painted a lot of them separately. Anyway Thanks for taking the time to document all your detailed restoration techniques. Looking forward to seeing that jewel crank up. 👍

I wonder if that fan assembly might be the same propeller-to-motor assembly on a military WW2 plane radial engine. Lubricating by centrifugal force and not gravity might be the giveaway.
