- The Cen Racing F450 is definitely cool, but why is it so expensive? With it's mall crawler looks and internals that leave something to be desired, I show you all the upgrades I've done and take it out to see how well it crawls, how fast it goes and how well it tows. We'll discuss the good, the bad and the ugly when it comes to this RC truck.

Who really actually "needs" any RC car. If it makes you smile and brings you enjoyment, then it's worth it. I been eyeing one as a tow rig also, might pull trigger this year.

rc sparks is in the middle of one of the worst mid life crisis i have ever seen holy hell it’s painful to watch i used to really love that channel now i can’t stomach it

I found it on sale for $330 in fall of 2022. There is no way to "justify" any of these RC purchases - they are just fun!
I got it on the $329 sale. It's solely a looking tow truck. 2.2 rim /5inch tires and 40mm lift and I wanna add more. It's a builders truck.
Was worth it just for that awesome outro on the frozen lake I'd say! Really enjoyed this one👍😀

I Have one, Bought it for towing, It's not a crawler, I have Crawlers and I make stuff. I use it for towing and built a gooseneck. I will say I did replace the motor, rc4wd crawler motor to help with towing torque. I'm running the stock servo, gearbox & driveline but I did do custom frame extension to correct the hitch mount location. Custom made gooseneck hitch. I do wish it had different body mounts. Look my videos of it.

I've wanted one since they came out and have the same thoughts and feelings as you. It just looks cool in a cheesy way and will look even better putting a boat in the water, lol.
I got the kg1 silver one. It's a good tow rig but falls short on speed. However with my custom built trx-4 and gatekeeper on a customer trailer this thing just looks cool and I junked the radio system in it immediately. Added a 12 turn aarma motor and I'm happy with it.

Lol translation I really want the cen 450 than I looked the price . Human nature I bet you been more complimentary had you got it for free . It's exactly what said cool but should be alot better . At this point they just making any ol price bc they know we buy it . 🤷 it's the only one purley a marketing score for them . If there were others that truck would be 299 tops . Hell...charge 600 and make it really nice light buckets clear windows hw10 esc ..this making Traxxas prices look pretty good. Trx 6×6 is a tank well built

I have it, I just wanted it, now I would just order clear body and stretched knockoff trx chassis under it instead :D And tbh I probably will do this to have 2 :D
(replaced servo, replaced shock for longer one, new wheels, new tires, new electronics...)

Folks don’t understand too well that this truck is made for pulling trailers on the pavement too well. That is what its made for. Its a hotshot truck. I guess you have to be a hotshot trucker to understand its purpose

It is an awful lot of money for basically a car hauler. I've avoided this for basically all the reasons you pointed out lol. If it was a bit closer to the $200 price point, I certainly would consider it. I feel something like a TRX-4 Sport or SCX10 would be just as capable, if not more so, at towing a trailer with a car.

The only thing cool is the sound system, IMO. Cen Racing: "Let's build a super cheap POS, but make it look cool and sell it for a premium price. Brilliant!"
He bought that extra don't even come with that. They knew they could price gauge. It be great for 299 , they charged extra 150 just because they could. I'd say that truck 100 125 bucks to produce
