@@DragonOderso If you're on PC, I went from gold3 to diamond1 in a couple weeks by using Bakkesmod to practice in slowmo, then gradually crank the speed up until i was doing it normally. It really did miracles for me.

I was at gold 1 division 1 and grinded to platinum 1 division 1 in 2 hours. I just waited for them to whiff then capitalized and scored. Super easy, later on at gold 3 you have to be more agro but still utilize the capitalization of whiffs.

The no kickoff “strat” is basically they’re hoping you go and dodge in the ball, so that the ball rolls to them and all they have to do is hit it hard towards to the goal. You’ll be too close from the enemy net so you won’t have time to go back and save it.
Every single gold stays back on kickoff to "trick" you. Most gold's hit it to the net and these dudes hit it out, then just pushes the open net

In case no one has explained clearly enough, the OP strat is to wait for you to hit the ball right to them, then chip it over your head into your open net. It is actually quite OP against other golds, which is why they keep using it. The OP counter is to notice when they don't go for the kick off, slow down slightly and chip the ball left or right of centre (because dribbling and flicking is beyond the abilities of most golds). Usually they don't have the aerial skill to save it, and it's a free goal. This strat is actually still used with disturbing frequency in high plat and even low diamond, though because they usually have the ability to save an off-centre shot, I find a better counter is to shoot wide (they will usually jump to make the save but miss the ball because it's too far away) and score on the rebound. Or dribble and flick if you have the skills (I don't).
Yeah people in gold don' go for the kickoffs because they believe that they will save the ball and get an easy counter attack, a thing that never happens, so after a few times they realise that it doesn't work and stop doing it. I'm stuck in gold/plat because I play to quickly and miss all the shots so I will try to follow your advice and wait till they make a mistake. Thank you so much for this video, it helps a lot to see that you could probably be your oponents in the game and you would do as bad as them (except for the kickoffs xd) so you can recognize a lot of mistakes. Great videos, keep that way, you deserve the fast you have grown in youtube.
You are not a gold. Gold players are going for kickoffs and are better than this, those players were silver if not bronze

The staying in net kickoff tactic is so that when the opponent shoots you save it and hit it towards their net. I dont use this anymore cus im in Diamond but it was pretty useful if you could actually save the ball.

Had to re-watch the video to see what this comment was about from 2 months ago, and yeah sure. You can learn it in 5 minutes. Practicing to have perfect execution every time takes hours of repetitive practice. And that’s to be correct every time in free play, not to mention the elevated heart rate moments in a ranked match. But keep up the grind!

I don’t use this but,
when you go for the kick off, especially on the semi-straight/straight kick offs you pass the ball right to them, giving them an open net to hit back on your side

@@edmason345 Speaking from personal experience, THESE GOLDS ARE TRASH, I pushed from Gold 1 to Plat 1 in about 2 hours and I ran into my fair share of golds who actually knew what they were doing. These golds shown are some of the worst I have seen.

The whole reason this strat works for you is that you've doing all this small, reliable and accurate maneuvering. It's because you're so much better than him that you can just keep him in stalemate like that and wait for an opening. Not a good strat for golds to use on other golds.

Wave dashing
Half flipping
Fast aerials
Air roll shots
Wave dashing sideways off the walls
And if the ball isn't that high but in the air
Jump once for an aerial and conserve your second flip to flip into the ball for power on the shot
And learn how to recover off a wall after your aerial
we need more of this series.... like a lot more

The ''not going for the kickoff'' stratagy is used a lot because, when gold like myself do a kick-off we might shoot the ball thought the middle a lot. And when they save they have the ball and you're ff'ed because, your goal is open and he has only to shoot
