Throughout this video, I will cover my TOP 3 TIPS for EVERY RANK in Rocket League, to give you guys an idea of what you need to learn, work on and understand in order to rank up in Rocket League. So, regardless of your Rocket League rank, be sure to watch as many of the tips as possible to improve your knowledge and skills in Rocket League.

Imo (I've been playing since f2p so I'm not the best judge) but Imo a big tip for plat is to not always dodge into the ball for a shot/save. I see it all the time where someone is "matrixing" the ball and it's hugely avoidable. I never see anyone talk about this and a video on this would at least help me quite a bit as I've been plat since my first ranking matches and don't seem to be leaving it anytime soon. (New subber ty for the vids!)

More Tips:
Do NOT hesitate! Either go or don’t
You don’t always need 100 boost, 33 is fine (just pick up pads)
Once you see your trail, you do not need to boost

@@zenthaa Boosting only affects your top speed after supersonic slightly,if you're going straight, so once that trail pops up boosting just for a little bit more is the way to go, not holding it I guess. Well maybe if you turn and still need the momentum then yeah it makes sense

My friend just started playing rl and didn't like ball cam but I forced him to use it and now he finds it easier :D

Same but he alwso had bad camera settings and i gave him mine and ballcam was no broblem anymore
I never played in carcam. Ballcam was always my preferred option 🤔
And i never had problems using ballcam

Im d2 in 1s but plat in 2s and 3s,i knew my rotations are bad but i didn't realise how bad they were until now

@@crysp_shot3751 yeah it’s easier to get gold 2 in the beginning of the season but it’s hard to maintain that rank or to rank up I was gold 3 in the beginning of the season now I’m gold 1

The placements are broken. I won 7 matches of 1s out of 10 and got d2 whereas I was p2 last season but I was diamond 2 last season in 3s and got placed in diamond 1 this season after winning 9/10

An amazing tip which got me from gold 1 to plat 3 in 1s in a few weeks is learning how to put pressure on opponent without committing this means if they mess up u could have a goal or just ball control and allows u to make defending 10x easyier cos if u get it down right u it’s really frustrating for the opponent. For me I’m gold and low plat in other playlists so the only way I get scored on is fancy shots I can’t save and don’t usually see. The ability to do this turns u from regular gold to a plat 1s god
I used to be gold 1 early season 3. When season 3 ended, I was plat 2 in 2v2 and plat 1 in 1v1. The reason was that I focused on dribbling, power shots, and rotations.
that's a good strat to know despite you being plat it just gets harder at higher ranks

As an SSL I still always watch tip videos, because since I know most of them, one tip that I don't know could improve my game drastically (and I often forget basic things lol)
Well because you’re so high up I was wondering what buttons you bonded your air roll right/left to because I’m having trouble getting a good feel for it.

I peaked C1 and dropped down to d1, sometimes even plat 3. This video definitely helped establish my rank and I am now a consisted C1 player, peaking C2. Thanks alot!
Another tip for gold: practice hitting your aerials not scoring just hitting

I reached platinum I 3’s in placements after 48 hours of playtime or so, just learning powershots, fast aerials and rotating better than golds(i think).
I think stopping being a ballchaser helps a lot in lower ranks

im c3 and im thinking about it but I'm not sure bc I think I might need to learn to air roll again (in a way since I'm changing the air roll binding), what do u think, since u have more hours than me? also how many hours do u have?
@@5strs I feel like the only reason to learn air roll left/right is to learn advanced mechanics or to be more consistent with ones you have already learned. There are many pro players who still don’t use it all that much so it’s not really essential to learn, it’s more of a preference IMO. I also have 1850 hours in the game atm.
I should also add that those flashy/advanced mechanics aren’t really used all that much in the higher levels of play, it’s more about awareness and being smart with your play

Do u think I should still make the change from general air roll to air roll left/right, or does it really matter? u said that higher-ranked gameplay is just awareness and being smart, but does air roll left/right help you be much cleaner with your mechanics? is it something that can help someone improve exponentially?
@@5strs Well you should always keep normal air roll along with a different bind for air roll left/right, and I honestly believe that you only need normal air roll to get to any level of play, it’s just that maybe if you’re around pro level you should consider adding it 🤣

Well, I’m plat and I can already do some of the diamond things so thanks for telling me what to work on! Also, when you want to get out of gold in 2s and 3s, find a team. I cannot stress enough how important it is to know what your teammate is doing. Most goals in gold come from overcommits and double commits so comms with your team will drastically reduce that, and help you rank up.
I've recently picked up the game after not playing for around 2 years.. Last known rank i had was the blue star rank before the gold/silver etc. Now i'm sitting at mid play 2 and supriced that i already used most of the tips in the video even though i've been inactive for so long :D!
They helped me a lot! I’m level 34 and thanks to you now I can do an amazing air dribbles! So thanks :)

Just hit diamond 1, cant wave dash or half flip consistently, but I'm solid at reading my opponents and I have learned possessions is key.

I never really used free play, only to practice aerials, but I tend to learn better in a game. I play a lot of casual so I don't have to worry about ranked, which works for me, but everyone's different. great video by the way chief. stay safe

I feel organized and like a god after listening to these tips and tricks videos and playing after, tried this with Clash Of Clans and I'm doing super good.
Another great tip for Plats: Learn and use defensive rotations! When I solo queue ranked I rarely see it, but for some reason when I play tournaments (where I'm diamond) they're almost always used, and if they're not, we're quickly out of the tournament.
Stuck in plat 3 currently learning how to redirect and flip reset definitely improved but for some reason I can’t normal Ariel as good anymore
I have a tip for plats, watch the play more. A lot of people in platinum will have the idea to just go at the ball and make whatever play they can. Patience is key, because winning games in platinum is mostly taking advantage of the opposing team making mistakes, there is plenty of opportunity to do so because of rushed plays, so if you're looking to climb in platinum, learn to be patient and watch what the opponents do, you'll also find this will better your ability to read the ball and other plays in the future.
I managed to move up to bronze tier 2 after grinding for half a day! Thx for the life changing advise!

Regardless of rank, recovery is also extremely important because this allows you to be the fastest on the pitch, and to reach more balls and plays!
