Speed flip is mitigatable with a delayed kickoff. Of course the speed flipper will still have an advantage, but it can be played around. I don't think Lethamyr uses a speed flip on kickoffs.

Some golds could be high ranked player trying to air dribble
the "flip reset" golds love to talk about are just air dribbles TAPS off the wall and just free falling near the ball, doing 1 front flip and they take it as a fancy move
Or ceiling shots where its bounces twice and they just front flip into it

I’m at this rank, it’s WAY to inconsistent to even have theories. It AMAZES me the difference in skill/gameplay from one match to another, idk man, I’ve tried theories.... I can’t figure it out.
I guess it comes to positioning and challenges, but I don't understand how there are people in my plat games with the mechanics of a silver (and the worst is that i tend lose to them). Then the next game there's a super consistent tryhard

@@timothychapman9344 the reason u don’t play as well in actual matches is because most of the time you don’t have anywhere near as good decision making as SSL’s and most of the time you will never have those exact circumstances in game

@Aaron Tate sometimes a person will place lower in one's than in other modes simply because they're not used to a 1v1, and they just don't play one's while they improve their skills and then eventually they realize that they should bring their one's rank from gold to diamond where the rest of their ranks have increased to

Don't discriminate based on age in this game. My 5 year old is Diamond 2 in 1v1. He's basically self-taught to do very tricky to defend bounce dribbles into powershot, air dribble, etc. In team modes he's a ball-chaser so he's Plat 2/3, but if only I can get him to respect teammate space and rotations...

I'm in gold and there is 1% you find someone who is air dribbling, or doing flip resets in gold and most of the time they miss the shot

The thing with High Plat and Low Diamond in solo duel is that there are many players who are champs in 2v2 and 3v3, I even met a grand champ once. Some people are just much better at 1v1 compared to the other game modes, so it's a bit inconsistent what kind of player you'll encounter in these ranks.

Love your vids man. I am a plat 2 in solos and i found this very interesting to learn! But, I must say that some plats that have been practising airdribbles can actually score on it. But as you say. Powershots are super effective and I’ve won lots of hames because of it

Personally I find that air dribbles are not hard to defend... a flip reset can be somewhat difficult because of options like a fake flip reset. No plats are doing fake flip resets in less a lot has changed since I got out of plat a month ago.
the only time plats score flip resets is when they are smurfs. Its happened to me once (I'm plat 2) and he score some freestyle goals and then he just destroyed me.

Flip resets, wall to air dribbles and double taps definitely do happen at gold and plat. If you spent the majority of your time at that level, like most people do, you'd come across them eventually.
The people doing it have either been practicing it or are smurfs. The difference between the two is obvious, with smurfs having far more control and success and all-around better, while those that are trying out a new skill usually aren't good at it yet and aren't great at other things like positioning, boost management, ball control etc.
But to dismiss people's observations based on your handful of games as you breeze through the ranks is short-sighted. Most people spend weeks or months at a rank and you see all sorts in that time.
Giving space still works with many players in c2. I won so many games cause my opponents go for risky plays, ending up giving me an easy save and an open net. Additionally, they never give me space to make a play so I just proceed to let them mess up. They'll get really tilted even though they brought it upon themselves resulting in more easy goals, lmao.

The op technique for plats are:
-know how to shadow defend and WHEN TO FAKE CHALLENGE. Don't do it all the time.
-Capitalise off these fake challenges with a wide turn and a power shot. That clears the ball and puts it on target.

What you said is right, that if you play well they can't do any of those fancy mechanics, yesterday in gold 1v1 I started of really well and the guy looked like he should be in bronze, he kept missing the ball and got bad hits and stuff but the moment I started playing terrible because you know how inconsistent we are the guy actually air dribbled on me. First time someone ever used it against me so it can happen but not very common

i’ve seen a lot of golds who can definitely air dribble good off the wall at least and a lot of plats are decent too

you see im a plat 1 and i can assure you i can hit my air dribbles like 80 % of the times not only that im pretty sure i can hit nice shots like a ceiling shot or no flip ground pinch and plats definatly do try plays like that i would prove it to you if u want... also my friends a diamond and has no mechanical ability only a very good game sense so id love if you could teach me on what im doing wrong. thx btw lov ur vids helped me out alot

I played 2 back to back games in silver this week, where they were going for pinch shots from the ceiling and making at least 50% of the shots they were taking. Maybe silver is better than gold? 🤷🏽♂️
I have a friend who is plat 2 in 2s and last time ic hecked he was plat 3 in 1s. He hits air dribbles almost 80% of the time when he goes for them. Scores them alot in games as well

I like the series and it helps lower players. The only problem is that your playing a bit fast for gold... Like when you flicked the gold . Gold's are only grasping how to get the ball on the car.
