There is a real life replica of the famous Munster Mansion in Waxahachie, Texas and we got to take a full tour! www.munstermansion.com Thanks for watching!
I sure wish I could go, between this house and the first house in California that the Jackson family lived in, I would love to visit, I love MJ anyway, this house is just amazing!!!! Because MJ'S son set's up THRILLER every Halloween, I would absolutely love to see both on Halloween, that's what MJ'S son does, Prince raises money every year for Heal Los Angeles AWWW it just warms my heart that both homes raises money....I really wish to go to both 😊❤
What a treat to watch this! The Munsters and the Adams Family were my all time favorite shows growing up in the 70s. They still hold a place in my heart. Thank you for the wonderful memories 🖤💚
You just made me spend money. I just bought the whole series. I’m so happy, I grew up with shows like this. I haven’t (regular) watched TV in over 10 years. I watch reruns on platforms.
The show only ran for 2 years in the 60's. They made 2 movies one in the 70's the other 80's but that was about it. They tried many times to get it going again but failed those where all sets for those shows.
I just saw my doppelganger in the munster mansion the guy with the beard in a green and blue shirt how cool is that for me . Only in the munsters mansion ❤🐈⬛🕸🕷🦂🦇
That is sooo cool! As a kid i watched the Munsters quite a bit in the late 1960's, the couple that built this replica pretty much nailed it, locating some of the antique items must have been quite the task. Farmeritaville, you did a great job showcasing this house, it would have been mind blowing if you had recorded about 5 minutes at the end in black n white, for us older kids that started life with B&W televisions. Keep up the great work!
Been there. Back in 2014. It was during Halloween and they even had pat priest who played Marilyn signing autographs. The owners had the Munsters Hot rod and casket car parked in the driveway. He would start up the Munster hot rod periodically, Boy it was loud. But it sure sounded good. I had a blast 👍
Such a great show. Fred Gwynne, All Lewis, Yvonne De Carlo, Butch Patric, Pat Priest, Beverly Owen were great. I grew up on shows from that age. Thank you for the tour and thanks to the builder! The house looks fantastic but the kitchen, not the kitchen.
Eddie's childhood toy was wolf, wolf. I was so mad that when Butch Patrick visited Michigan with the original Munsters car it was not publicized. We only learned of his visit after the fact. Hope he returns someday. Would have loved to see it. If I ever visit Texas I'll love sure to visit this place. 😅
You out did yourself. Thanks for bringing that to us. The people who built the house did TV history a huge favor in preserving the Munster's life. Love that show and I think Herman was an actor in Pet Cemetery.
That was a really cool 😎 video. Thanks. I like this old show. I used to watch reruns of this show as a kid is the 70s and 80s. This show is one of my favorite old shows that I watched. This was so interesting also.
Oh my gosh! I loved, loved, loved this! It took me back to my childhood days and how I so wanted to live in that house. I would watch reruns after reruns just to imagine myself living in that house roaming around and seeing all the cool things. This video was awesome! Thank you so muchfor letting me live my past just once more.
That TV show is timeless. I would not doubt its banned to be shown in some parts of the country. lol Lilly said once, it`s nice to have a father who is a mad scientist. lol
These are my kinda of people. I am 78 and my personality would so do something like this. I just love to laugh and make other people last. I am not sure I would build the Munster house but I would sure tour it. I would be more the type to build the 70’s dinner. I am working on that right now. I hope to have it to display it at the Texas State Fair in 2025. Love fun things.
What happened to the dungeon grandpa‘s laboratory? That was the biggest part of the house…. it was a stone wall spiral staircase to get down to the laboratory, and it was the coolest part of the show. I used to watch it when I was in kindergarten. It was only on for a couple seasons anyway, it’s a shame that they built all that and they didn’t, do grandpa’s laboratory anyway it was really cool. I’m just disappointed. They didn’t have the best part of the house but overall it was really cool to see.❤
So here in Texas basements are not a thing. (See Peewee Herman and the Alamo) As such, local building codes prevented them from fully recreating the basement as seen the the show, so they just have the trap door that leads down to it. The trap door also suffers a bit from actual accuracy since it has a railing around it to prevent accidental falls- and I don’t blame them for that one. Overall though, the house is a masterpiece.
LOLOLOLOL ....you are my hero's ....!!! I Loved the Munster's .... About 3 weeks ago I bought a 17' Jetta ..... I call it "YIIPPEE" (Cut to scene of Herman from Munster Go Home in the coffin dragster in England against Cruikshank!)
I never heard of The Munsters until I saw the Frankenstein statue inside, I love the exterior of the house it looks fairytale like, magical and what I call a witch house, I would love to have a house like this but maybe different interior 🥰
Super job replicating the Munster home. I was at the WB Studio and took a tour in summer 2019. I was right in front of it but did not recognize it as they changed the front a touch and it is all painted in light colors. Movie and TV show sets are of great interest to me. On my aforementioned visit, I also went to Paramount and Universal Studios. Some of those large backstage buildings are empty. I wish they would have left the sets up so we could still visit them. Perhaps it has/has to do with the cleaning costs of leaving them intact.
Enjoyed this tour so much! Thank you for filming this for those who cannot Travel This show was so much loved by me growing up in the sixties Always excited when it was on Thank You Again
The "Blue Willow" china pattern in the kitchen was a very popular pattern back then, it's what I ate my daily dinner off of all the years I was growing up!
I had the privilege (at age 9 in 1965) of seeing the actual Munster house facade, "1313 Mockingbird Lane" which is now called Wisteria Lane (or properly, Columbia Street?) at Universal Studios. Our soundstage tour was inside the Munster's interior set. It seems like yesterday..... The house in this video seems accurate! However, the TV set was on one floor, and the rooms didn't have four walls or a ceiling.....
yes, most studio sets are only a partial room because the film crew needs a lot of space, plus overhead lighting. A single room on TV might actually be 2-4 different sets to get a different viewpoint.
I love the Munster's this show was way way before my time but i still love it till this day !!!!!! i would like to visit this home it's so beautiful the secret passage yvonne de carlo was is so beautiful they don't make ladies like her any more she is gorgeous
As far as I remember wasn't the basement grandpa's lab? I remember him hanging like a bat, not sure where, don't remember the attic. What an amazing collection they have.
That was so cool! I was born and raised in Dallas and had no clue that was there! I definitely want to take my daughter to a murder mystery night! Thanks for posting!
This is so cool! I never knew this existed. Too bad that they don’t have basements there. Though, in actuality grandpa’s dungeon wasn’t really down stairs. It was a movie set that they used. They walked down to nothing and when walking down to the dungeon away from nothing. Magic of TV!
I'm disappointed that everyone misses the side door that is located in the dining room. You can see it in at least one episode and Lily pops out of the door a few times to talk to Herman and Grandpa when they are working in the garage.
Obviously the interior set on the show did not reflect the outside facade of the house at WB. In the show the front door entered into the large living room facing the couch with a step down into the living room. The main stairs believe where behind the living room if memory serves. Basically If they actually attempted to recreate the floorplan the house would not only be bigger but the facade would look entirely different than the house on the WB. The Brady house also had this issue. Back in 2019 when HGTV renovated the original house in CA used in the famous exterior facade shot in the opening of the show they had to basically gut it in order to properly squeeze the original set floorplan into the space all while leaving the exterior facade intact as the floorplan of the the house was nothing like the interior set on the show. They even had to add an addition onto the back of the house to accommodate the sets floorplan as it was larger than the that of the real house.
Eddie is still alive , thought one of the Marilands had passed I think and the rest of the cast as well so , yes I'm certain they all loved it years ago .
I’m in Texas ! The Munster Mansion is on my bucket list. Thank you for sharing your Awesome video.
Oh wow plz send pics thts a classic we grew up watching tht show after school 🎒🏫
by way u r really cute sxxxxy lady classy too I love tht in all Natural beautiful ladies

My dream home! A museum that never needs dusting 🤣🤣🤣
Agreed 😊
What a treat to watch this! The Munsters and the Adams Family were my all time favorite shows growing up in the 70s. They still hold a place in my heart. Thank you for the wonderful memories 🖤💚

I Was Born In 1973 So I Watched The Reruns On Television.
I bet it was a lot of FUN building this house.
I'm going to come see this.
Very cool. I would love to love to go through there.. What a great Job, They did.
Yes all those shows from ,60's & 70's & 80's & 90's up to 2000 these shows had class and high energy
Very cool reconstruction! The Munsters was one of my top 5 favorites as a kid

I still remember the day I stumbled across this house by accident! I couldn’t believe my eyes!!!
That’s freaking amazing! Been a Munsters fan for over 40 years.
I live in Waxahachie and I've never been to the Munsters house...I need to go, it's so cool! My mother loved that show.
My favorite was Lilly. I was too young to see the original release. I watched the rerun of the show and loved it. The mansion is fantastic.

This house is incomplete without a proper woof woof.
You out did yourself. Thanks for bringing that to us. The people who built the house did TV history a huge favor in preserving the Munster's life. Love that show and I think Herman was an actor in Pet Cemetery.
Yes fred gwynne was in pet cemetary
Wow in 58 yrs old and I live just 75 miles from Waxhachie and I NEVER knew the Munster Mansion was in here in Texas. Definitely going there A.S.A.P.
Thanks for the tour. It’s so cool. I loved that show!
Man I have to go see that thing
Wow ! They lived in it for 11 years God Bless them
I couldn’t live in it but be nice to see the house one day
Thank you for the video
Very interesting
That was a really cool 😎 video. Thanks. I like this old show. I used to watch reruns of this show as a kid is the 70s and 80s. This show is one of my favorite old shows that I watched. This was so interesting also.

Me too. I love the Monsters, not much of aa fan of the Adams family, just because I think the Monsters are so much better.
That was my absolute favorite of the house the " Casket Phone Booth" and Grandpa's Dungeon would have been a cool hangout !! 👍👍
There goes my canopy bed i had until 10yrs old. Mines was all white, navy blue cloth covering to match. Vanity all white like the canopy. Very cute❤❤
Al and Fred were also in Car 54
Absolutely great. Thank you & the couple who built this.
That TV show is timeless. I would not doubt its banned to be shown in some parts of the country. lol Lilly said once, it`s nice to have a father who is a mad scientist. lol
How impressed I am watching this video, don’t remember watching other videos of this real life Mansion, would love to see it too.
The Munsters are back on tv now. Love the old reruns as telivision has lost it's luster over the years.
These are my kinda of people. I am 78 and my personality would so do something like this. I just love to laugh and make other people last. In texas the black soil makes it impossible to build basements
Not everything was filmed in the house, it’s called a studio.
@@LouisBouretthave to admit if the soil was stronger it would have been even more badass to have grandpa's entire dungeon lab recreated
He explained they don’t build basements in Texas so it was impossible to build the dungeon.
I am going to go see it.
In my opinion is a professional monster house even the wax statues look real.. Thanks for sharing your experience.
I'd love to see that. Enjoyed that show as a kid❤❤❤
As a Fan of the Show, very much enjoyed this video, just need to drive to Texas to see in person.
That place is so cool. Thank you very much for highlighting it in a video. God bless and stay safe.
Thank u for the tour of the Munsters house. Brings back memories of watching that show as a kid..thanks again 👍
I never heard of The Munsters until I saw the Frankenstein statue inside, I love the exterior of the house it looks fairytale like, magical and what I call a witch house, I would love to have a house like this but maybe different interior 🥰
Nice work Jake
WOW, this is so awesome.
I wouldn’t want to live in it, but very cool to visit. They did a great job! I’d like to see it someday in person.
Awesome video! Thank you for sharing! Could you please do the Adam's Family House too?

Wow that’s so cool ! All that’s missing is the monsters car and grandpa’s coffin car?
Enjoyed this tour so much! Thank you for filming this for those who cannot Travel
This show was so much loved by me growing up in the sixties
Always excited when it was on
Thank You Again
I drove past that house so many times when i lived in tx
Well done, your camera work is good and what a cool scary mansion!
I love this show. I wanted a haircut like Eddie Monster when I was a kid .
Had lunch in Waxahachie last Chrust as, great little town center. I didn’t understand what all the references to the “Hatch” was. I finally got it..
The "Blue Willow" china pattern in the kitchen was a very popular pattern back then, it's what I ate my daily dinner off of all the years I was growing up!
Awesome thanks for sharing love the show peace and love
Totally want to visit!!!!

Yip...and Gillgans Island wasn't an island...it was on a back lot at the studio in Burbank.
I love the Munster's this show was way way before my time but i still love it till this day !!!!!! i would like to visit this home it's so beautiful the secret passage yvonne de carlo was is so beautiful they don't make ladies like her any more she is gorgeous

They did an incredible job
NOW THIS, would be amazing and fun to live in 😊
I would just love to have that house

Brilliant architecture
This is really great. Thank you for sharing.

That was so cool! I was born and raised in Dallas and had no clue that was there! I definitely want to take my daughter to a murder mystery night! Thanks for posting!
Pretty Cool looking interior of the House. It has the feeling a d the time period of the show.... Would be interesting to visit.....😂😂😂🎉
Around eleven years old I would have moved in 😂 Adored the Munsters growing up.
RIP FRED YVONNE AND AL WE WILL NEVER FORGET YOU
Awesome thanks for sharing this I ❤ the show live the dream
I love the hand!
Love it!!
Cool!
This is so cool! I never knew this existed. Too bad that they don’t have basements there. Though, in actuality grandpa’s dungeon wasn’t really down stairs. It was a movie set that they used. They walked down to nothing and when walking down to the dungeon away from nothing. Magic of TV!
I live in Houston and there are basements. They're just expensive...but there are more than you think.
This video is amazing, thank you for posting, they need a gift shop
Love it!!!!!!!!! Oh my gosh! I would love to live there.
The house is awesome! It reminds me of a place that would have been perfect for the Osbournes. 🙂
Their house in England is pretty old. Although not as eclectic as this.
Perfect build
Now thats awesome! Thank you for sharing!
Awesome video you should have Ben playing The Munsters theme
I'm disappointed that everyone misses the side door that is located in the dining room. You can see it in at least one episode and Lily pops out of the door a few times to talk to Herman and Grandpa when they are working in the garage.
Gorgeous!!!
Absolutely awesome
I'd be so stoked
I wonder if anyone has ever done Gilligan's Island. I know there are two Star Trek set recreations. One in Ticonderoga, NY. and one in Georgia.
Beautiful

How cool is this !
Grandpa's lab , they need to figure that out kinda sad not seeing it ! I want to go see this house so bad ,I live in TX ..
So go see it..
That was fantastic.
I think that it was in black and white added to the TV show's mystery and spookiness.
awesome
Eddie is still alive , thought one of the Marilands had passed I think and the rest of the cast as well so , yes I'm certain they all loved it years ago .
Actually Herman did ride in the suit of armor carousel in one episode. Eddie was running away from Herman in a frenzy and that’s where he got caught
I got a autograph from Pat Priest when I went there. It’s good to see the video memory was fading. How do you schedule a tour now?
Thanks. I live 1 street over and still haven't visited
