PlugY is the reason I play D2... Or maybe one of the major reasons. Collecting all unique items (with viables as high as possible) is so satisfying. Currently I still lack Mang Song's Lesson, Schaefer's Hammer, Astreon's Iron Ward, Shadow Dancer and obviously Tyrael's Might. Hope I can collect all of them one day!
I've been playing single player this last week and this is a really exciting looking mod! Only seems to add to the enjoyment of the game and not take away from the original game.
Yeah blizzard just needs some of these ideas for d2 remaster. Honestly, increasing stash space and making it large or many pages really doesnt hurt the game much IMO. Some of this stuff should be in the game.
It just needs map reveal. And trading. I quit playing d2 when they really started banning maphack. Its dumb to have teleport only to sorc without enigma and the ability is not fun for me. With map reveal i could compete in farming with a trapassin without teleport. Also i knew how to make cheap ass characters that were super strong. Also that ubers is totally different without minions. Nobody could use a sorc there, at least in hardcore. The minions would eat you up and there was a lot of lag because of all the minions. Which is fine, still better.
Good Video - I just found 2 copies of my D2, and started playing with my son. He loves to play games together and D2 is a nice simple game with 2 mouse buttons and a few keys :-). I'll have to try this addon, as we both use the LAN feature to play together.
I'm still on single player 20 some odd years later, using this mod I can finally collect all the uniques in the game. Building a Diablo 2 museum in my extended stash has been my jam for awhile now.
ha ha ha ONE YEAR LATER, NOW AND GUESS WHAT YOUR WISH IS THIER COMMAND, d2 ressurected now has all this extra stash, shared stash, better graphics and all kinda new stuff... congrats...

I really wish PoD & Plugy combined... It would be nice to have OOC, and commands like shift click to move items around in the inventory/cube etc. Also loot filters, and free charm inventory. Although I probably wouldn't even think about playing PoD if this was possible on plugy.
Wow I remember when I played on the realms and had to keep multiple mules and had to transfer items by either creating my own games and hope the game doesn't end while I swap characters or use existing games with players inside and try to hide my item while I swap chars. Prior to Plugy I used Atma's to store items, in some way it was more convenient to be able to search for an item in a page rather than click next page so many times like you do in Plugy to find your items, but Plugy adds so many other nice things that you can't possible consider going back.
Only thing I would like to see added is sheets or group tabs in the stash so you can keep track of Uniques, sets, etc in seperate tabs, as is now you have to store Armors in tabs 0 - 10, Helms in 11 - 20 and +10 page button to navigate between groups.
Cool videos man you made me reinstall D2 after all these years. Ive been having a hell of a time trying to get this mod working tho, went through 5 different tutorial videos so far
May just break down and buy the game. So deterring when you try to make an Insight only to realize it doesn't work on single player. Being only level 33 and burning your only Sol rune. Then Googling and finding out ladder only RW don't work on single player. Which in turn lead me to this. I'm not big on all the extra features because i like the restrictions of vanilla D2. But not being able to do the world events is a real bummer. Especially uber Tristram. That battle is absolutely epic with the minions. I don't see it being anywhere near as challenging without the minions. Thanks for the video. It cleared some stuff up for me.
A couple of questions: 1. Do Ladder only uniques also drop in PlugY? 2. High rune solo farming - did you make all the infinity and fortitude etc on single player by just grinding HR farming? I got into PlugY watching your vids. Btw, the first Annihilus I farmed in PlugY rolled 20/20/10.
1) yup 2) most of my hi rune drops were a combination of lower kurast farming and level 85 areas farming. That's how I made my infinity, enigma, fort, grief etc.

Ive been playing plugy on resurgence mod and there is no reason to play online mow unless there is a ladder reset. Just downloaded plugy last week and im not sure why but i just want to play all day now
I found plugY to be very interesting, just have one question...what happens to my previously installed characters after I install it? Will the chest inventory things disappear? Will the maps be reseted?

Oh I didn't know the Cow level was infinite, or about the ladder only rune words (I'm still new so have barely got to the middle tier runes)! Great stuff, I do like Plugy the only problem is the lack of an economy - can I find chipped topaz? Nopaz.. I have a mountain of Thul runes sitting there..
LOLOLOL.....with simple adds like Gomule or plugy you dont need to do that again. I play only single player, i never play with Plugy...i only use Gomule. Even you dupe those items...the path after that never easier ( finding the holy grail aka the very rare items from set items to elite unique items - i have been doing this for this 2 weeks still miss so many items ). Dupe only help you in making high level runes which is only you need for very few ( for me, only enigma that really makes the difference ). Lets say...enigma rune words. What makes me choose Gomule rather than plugy is...my runewords limited to some very mediocre rune words.
Nice video but one thing : Are you sure about the /players thing? I wasn't sure, couldn't find it in the internet so I tried it out myself and it seemed that without typing it again they were back at 1 after a restart

But I have seen people continuing hireling hired from 'Greiz'. Which one would be more effective in combat in ACT 4 and further?
generally act 2 trumps all. if you want you merc to hit harder got act 2 nightmare offensive merc for the might aura. if you want more crowd control go nightmare defensive merc for the holy freeze aura. act 3 mers are the worst. act 5 are okay with godly gear. and act 1 mercs are really only used for the fanaticism aura if you give them faith.
Hi, my game was very laggy after i installed plugY. I have 1.13c version of D2LOD then i installed plugY (@t. I've tried some troubleshooting steps below and i will put also the settings i have. Please let me know if there are other things i need to do to make plugY work normal. 1. Run compatibility for Win XP SP 3 is checked 2. Run program as an administrator is checked 3. I've downloaded and installed Glide Wrapper to see if it will help but it didn't. I've followed the steps given for it work but it's same thing, it's still lag. 4. If i run D2 (not plugY), my game works normal, no lag. Thanks.

Ive been watching many of your vids, reading some comments and now im having a weird question... Does your stash break your game too whenever you want to roll 100 pages front? (There is a button in stash which whenever i'll put my cursor on it bugs my game and i have to switch it off)... I guess that's not normal 😂 im playing 1.12a and idk why this happens... Makes me super cautious when browsing stash

There are other mods like the perfect drop mod. Median xl and path of diablo are 2 other diablo mods as well. Slash diablo and path of diablo are private servers as well. Lots of different mods to try out as well as ladder resets on vanilla diablo on battlenet. Depending on what you want to play:)
Hey @Dbrunski125 D2 is one of my favorite games of all time (played religiously back in the day) and recently got back into it after moving and have been loving single player and stumbled across your channel in my efforts to add ladder rune words and am now considering adding PlugY, but just had a few questions. I’m sure you get these questions all the time and I could just refer to the video you linked for installing, but I just wanted to ask you directly before taking the plunge as I’m just concerned about messing up my current progress with my character. Have tons of experience with D2, but am one of the least savvy tech people and am sort of lost when trying to follow the plugY installation directions and also wondering if there is a more recent installation video as my D2 is locked in at the 1.14 patch. I don’t want to mess up my progress or have to uninstall the game, but I really do want access to unlimited stash as well as to the Uber is events. Should I just try to follow the link you provided and/or is there any other information I should try to adhere to prior to trying to download plugY? Love your content though and keep up the good work!
Tyler Duncan The guide he linked is the easiest one you’ll find imo. You’ll have to download the older version of diablo (which is also in the linked guide) to use plugy. You’ll also have to figure out how to have two installations of diablo (one for plugy and one for online), which I never had to do since I use my laptop and desktop for two different installations. Hopefully that helps, or someone can expand on it some more.
There's a link in the description of the following video that also increases the character's personal inventory, the inventory space we have for items we carry with us to and during battle. It disables having pages in the stash (I think, I only glanced at it so far) but that may be something people other than me can deal with. I'd rather have the extra space to carry another weapon set and collect more items opponents drop than "mule" stuff in the stash chest. Click the Google Drive link, download, extract to the D2LOD root directory PlugY runs from and you're done. Can you play plugy via virtual LAN like hamachi? That'd be dope... cause I'm pretty sure your single player characters are used in LAN games... if everyone has the mod installed I don't see why this wouldn't work.
Hey, i've also been a D2 player on and off, for over a deckade, and i keep finding interesting stuff about the game i didn't know too much about, but this plugin is somewhat new to me, but i'm curious to how it works. How does it generate more stash space? how does it handle those events? i mean it feels like it violates the game in some manner, but it doesn't seem like it's bad, in fact it looks as you said, 'quality of life changes' like the stat page and secondary stats added up for you already. How should i feel about this? :) it looks cool, but feels a bit wrong.
Playing d2 vanilla, CD was provided by my friend, running the Hell now, I have 10 skill points in the Lightning, 22 in the Chain Lightning, 22 in Lightning mastery. The damage from Chain Lightning is 4 - 1600~, is it OK? Or just playing in buggy version? :) I just wonder because it feels very hard to kill monsters:(

Brah. D2 solo play is offline with a CD version or ISO. In fact these mods are designed to break if you try to get online, to prevent cheats. You need previous patches. Battlenet will install 1.14d which will overwrite the mod. I wouldn't use the current Battlenet version of D2 if it exists. It probably has in-game ads (cringe.)
How can anyone play D2 without PlugY? I have 100 pages full, original has stash for 20 gemstones. Let's say you want a top set on 1 class. Chances are so low you have to make 30k-200k Mef runs. It takes about 40 years. All this time you'll have no set. Maybe Sigon. No family, no friends, no job, just the end of your life with a full top set on 1 character. Yay. Or simply get PlugY and own everything. What to choose...
What are you talking about, idiot?! Stash space has nothing to do with the rarity of sets, with or without plugy a rare set is still a rare set. If you want to find a rare set, plugy alone wouldn't speed things up, having the space to keep it or share it to other classes is an entirely different matter. And just for the record, no item (or set) requires 30k-200k Mephisto runs, get your facts straight!

In current PlugY version you have minions in Uber Tristram (14.01 version). I know cause I was heading for Uber Tristram overconfident based on my experience from older version. I had to quit the game because I could not retrieve my body.
New version 14.00 is in the works, and it will be compatible with 1.14D (the developer told me). If you're impatient, then you can try version 12.00 from this link - github.com/haxifix/PlugY However, keep in mind that's an unofficial update, not made by original developer, and not fully tested. For version 11.02, stick with 1.13C or 1.13D for now.

I kinda don't like that MrLlamas videos suggests using D2SE, which is unnecessary and uses old PlugY version (10), while new 11.02 plugY version has much cool stuff in it - windowed mode options (like borderless window, automatic position, lock mouse inside), commands to swap stash pages and probably smth else.

Download plugy, patch 1.13 from plugy. Extract patch in d2 folder. (overwrite all files) Copy all chars from saved files to save file.

Only works on 1.13c. If your having installation issues try joining the discord (link in description) someone can help you for sure.
Ive been watching many of your vids, reading some comments and now im having a weird question... Does your stash break your game too whenever you want to roll 100 pages front? (There is a button in stash which whenever i'll put my cursor on it bugs my game and i have to switch it off)... I guess that's not normal 😂 im playing 1.12a and idk why this happens... Makes me super cautious when browsing stash

There are other mods like the perfect drop mod. Median xl and path of diablo are 2 other diablo mods as well. Slash diablo and path of diablo are private servers as well. Lots of different mods to try out as well as ladder resets on vanilla diablo on battlenet. Depending on what you want to play:)

D2 is one of my favorite games of all time (played religiously back in the day) and recently got back into it after moving and have been loving single player and stumbled across your channel in my efforts to add ladder rune words and am now considering adding PlugY, but just had a few questions. I’m sure you get these questions all the time and I could just refer to the video you linked for installing, but I just wanted to ask you directly before taking the plunge as I’m just concerned about messing up my current progress with my character.
Have tons of experience with D2, but am one of the least savvy tech people and am sort of lost when trying to follow the plugY installation directions and also wondering if there is a more recent installation video as my D2 is locked in at the 1.14 patch. I don’t want to mess up my progress or have to uninstall the game, but I really do want access to unlimited stash as well as to the Uber is events. Should I just try to follow the link you provided and/or is there any other information I should try to adhere to prior to trying to download plugY? Love your content though and keep up the good work!
Tyler Duncan The guide he linked is the easiest one you’ll find imo. You’ll have to download the older version of diablo (which is also in the linked guide) to use plugy. You’ll also have to figure out how to have two installations of diablo (one for plugy and one for online), which I never had to do since I use my laptop and desktop for two different installations.
Hopefully that helps, or someone can expand on it some more.
You said this doesn't work on battle.net, but does it work playing Co-op with my brother? Usually he creates a host game and I join his instance.
Does plugy have a page-jump command (to skip to a specific page by name or number) or is it only using the buttons (x1,x10,x100)?
Another thing that greatly extends playabillity of D2 is median-xl.com it’s like D2 God mode multiplayer style.

There's a link in the description of the following video that also increases the character's personal inventory, the inventory space we have for items we carry with us to and during battle. It disables having pages in the stash (I think, I only glanced at it so far) but that may be something people other than me can deal with. I'd rather have the extra space to carry another weapon set and collect more items opponents drop than "mule" stuff in the stash chest. Click the Google Drive link, download, extract to the D2LOD root directory PlugY runs from and you're done. I assume removing the mod is as easy as renaming or deleting the data folder the mod is in.

Can you play plugy via virtual LAN like hamachi? That'd be dope... cause I'm pretty sure your single player characters are used in LAN games... if everyone has the mod installed I don't see why this wouldn't work.

Hey, i've also been a D2 player on and off, for over a deckade, and i keep finding interesting stuff about the game i didn't know too much about, but this plugin is somewhat new to me, but i'm curious to how it works. How does it generate more stash space? how does it handle those events? i mean it feels like it violates the game in some manner, but it doesn't seem like it's bad, in fact it looks as you said, 'quality of life changes' like the stat page and secondary stats added up for you already. How should i feel about this? :) it looks cool, but feels a bit wrong.

Playing d2 vanilla, CD was provided by my friend, running the Hell now, I have 10 skill points in the Lightning, 22 in the Chain Lightning, 22 in Lightning mastery. The damage from Chain Lightning is 4 - 1600~, is it OK? Or just playing in buggy version? :) I just wonder because it feels very hard to kill monsters:(

Brah. D2 solo play is offline with a CD version or ISO. In fact these mods are designed to break if you try to get online, to prevent cheats. You need previous patches. Battlenet will install 1.14d which will overwrite the mod.
I wouldn't use the current Battlenet version of D2 if it exists. It probably has in-game ads (cringe.)

How can anyone play D2 without PlugY? I have 100 pages full, original has stash for 20 gemstones. Let's say you want a top set on 1 class. Chances are so low you have to make 30k-200k Mef runs. It takes about 40 years. All this time you'll have no set. Maybe Sigon. No family, no friends, no job, just the end of your life with a full top set on 1 character. Yay.
Or simply get PlugY and own everything. What to choose...

What are you talking about, idiot?! Stash space has nothing to do with the rarity of sets, with or without plugy a rare set is still a rare set. If you want to find a rare set, plugy alone wouldn't speed things up, having the space to keep it or share it to other classes is an entirely different matter. And just for the record, no item (or set) requires 30k-200k Mephisto runs, get your facts straight!

In current PlugY version you have minions in Uber Tristram (14.01 version). I know cause I was heading for Uber Tristram overconfident based on my experience from older version. I had to quit the game because I could not retrieve my body.

New version 14.00 is in the works, and it will be compatible with 1.14D (the developer told me). If you're impatient, then you can try version 12.00 from this link - github.com/haxifix/PlugY
However, keep in mind that's an unofficial update, not made by original developer, and not fully tested. For version 11.02, stick with 1.13C or 1.13D for now.

I kinda don't like that MrLlamas videos suggests using D2SE, which is unnecessary and uses old PlugY version (10), while new 11.02 plugY version has much cool stuff in it - windowed mode options (like borderless window, automatic position, lock mouse inside), commands to swap stash pages and probably smth else.
we can do both, copy all files of 11.02 into the folder mods
