There arte still mistakes :) For example to make your spirit you say you can farm a cristal sword and then add sockets with the quest , you can't :) only can add a socket to an object with none. Just tried again to be sure and it really doesn t work
I like a game based on trading having a limited invo+stash. Makes you more inclined to make friends to transfer items and trade those items instead of letting them gather dust.

Or you risk joining a game with other players and you find someone scanning waypoints to see what you dropped, or the game disappears because everyone left and your items are gone forever.

It was inconsistent, and therefore riskier than joining a cow run game where players probably wouldnt leave after they create the portal. No issue if you had 2 computers and 2 CD keys.
Oh my god what memories... 7 years playing D2 from LOD 1.09 (Things get veeeery different from 1.10 on forward)... and my technique to start in a new league/server with my MF Sorc was doing like a "off-road build"... what that means is a sorc that could make full Baal Runs and everything without much effort... so my build was based on cheap gear at first... Spirit for sword and shield, magefist, raven, tal eth armor, some res boots and a 4 belt, Lore for helment, in switch hand gul and delirium for MF, all things that you can find making countess, runes, runewords... then lvl 61 without doing ever a Baal Run or a Cow run go straight into pindle and mefisto (Pindle if he is not inmune cold, if he is just save and exit), then when I get a nice Cryptic Axe or a Thresher RalTirTalSol and a act 2 cold aura mercenary and start doing inmune cold pindle... then I switch gear and the best is... Tal Rasha Amulet, Belt and Armor (Since the 3 pieces atribute is the best you can get in matters of skills and mf), shako, wizardspike and SS (I get full ress, full block and I dont remember badly cap damage reduction from Shaco and SS?), in the switch hand gul and delirium for MF runs or HOTO and Spirit for other stuff... so Wizz and Monarch I get to the FCR I need to get everywhere without being hitted, then +5 skill levels in switch to kill em all... So I can make runes with other ppls forges by offering my services as runner :P. Sorry my english :P
starting fresh you will always be blizz sorc. max all the blizz synergies and cold res, 1 point in teleport and first cold armor skill. warmth is optional. you could get a point in static as well, but also optional.
Enjoyed the run a whole lot. Hope to see another one of these kinda runs. And looks like that Teo Shrine didn't work so well for him this time around. Close match though near the end.
In the beginning he takes you through all the important pieces he used along the way to his final build. He also talks about the usefulness of a bunch of pieces he didn't use. Was he supposed to give a walkthrough on how to mf and what exactly to wear at every level or something? I personally picked up a bunch of useful tips from this video...

TIP for melee sorceress: Try using Naj's Puzzler too overkill damage. Probably the best melee sorceress weapon Merc Tip: use nightmare act 3 lightning for amazon, paladin, melee sorceress and barbarian. 1 it nightmare lightning chain lightnings more. 2 it chain lightnings other elements too if it's in gear and weapon like fire, poison or cold, I call em chain fire, chain poison and chin cold.
I learned how to do moat trick on mephisto in hell, I've done some runs, the best thing I've found is a lightsabre phase blade... still on the lookout for tal rashas set!
Believe it or not I am just now getting into rpgs and wanted to play Diablo 2. I downloaded it and have been researching it a lot. Do you have any videos over the following: explaining equipment items to look for for each character (maybe websites) and where to grind them at as well, places to grind resources (gems runes ect), and how you go about planning a complete build from scratch (skill tree and gear)
My Visc on SP has +2 Necro skills & +80 to life. I have old 1.07 CDs so I played 1.07 for a while and made a few + mana after each kill rings. I then upgraded to PlugY and have some cool 1.07 items and charms. My new Sorc is 71 and just finished A5 NM. IDK if I want to start Hell yet or run P8 NM runs.
Hey man, I just recently started playing D2 again after all these years and this PlugY thing seems really interesting. I read about what it contains and I've got one question regarding it. It says that ladder-only runewords are available, but is it also possible to upgrade high runes with the cube by using PlugY? I love the whole collecting and upgrading runes thing and that has always been the reason why I kept playing ladder back in the day.
hoto nigma arch nagels travs guards shako maras spirit monarch. infinity, fortitude, and Andy's. realistically, go for tal rasha set, enigma, oculus, shako/nagel/guards/travs are all cheap too. biggest problem I had was getting the STR for a monarch shield, I think its like 155 ahh

I changed it around often but Blizzard was my primary focus. I would run norm cows often at the start. Try and find tancreds boots for the ammy/boots mf combo, and maybe run some norm/nm andy/mephisto to get some MF items like gull dagger.
Which sites drop data base is more trustworthy? cause i already vistited 2 diffrent sites and their data may differ among runes ,at least, that am currently looking at !!
I do not know if you know but you can do a trick with angelic stuff to get unlimited stats You do not need full set just armor ring and amulet ( wear the three then just take amulet on and off for as many stat ups as you want ding ding ding
You didn't know Ginters Rift existed? I absolutely love that item.. Just because I love rare dimensional blades lol. You can up them to phase blades and have eth PB without bothering for durability or self repair mod! (as PBs are all indestructible) The best 1h weapon for barb is a upped rare dim. blade with some cool mods

I went single tree Blizzard I believe for this character when farming those. That being said, I have had an orb/fireball sorcy do just fine with a little more kiting.
At the moment, I'm just running LWK for hrs as on SP. I really want to find some to get better runewords particularly enigma so my other chars can run places more effectively. Do you advise I stick with that or do you think I should run Andy/Meph hell (players I don't know what you're running) if i can hit around 200mf?

what character? Honestly, following along with my hell speedruns is a good guide for what you want a character to look like throughout the game. Sorc at level 60 you can go into blizzard or fireball meteor

i like my werebear druid far more. just focus your skills in lycanthropy,werebear, maul, sage spirit, dire wolf, and bear. you have a pretty op beast. i have around 1100 HP at 38 and my bear has 930ish hp with only like three points invested in it and about 13 points(counting gear levels) in dire wolf.

Yeah I'd like to know that too. Killed Clone twice with my necro, decrep if a wonderful curse and once on my hammerdin using dracul's and smite. My sorc gear is even poorer than this and merc is fairly soft.
i got it done by now using a necro wand with lower res in second slot (you can shop it from anyone) and a kelpie on merc. the slow works wonders so the merc could tank with some full regs...and with lower res static and blizzard do him easy. hope this helps

SoJ sale counter starts at a random value each session, and ticks up randomly. Sometimes Uber Diablo just spawns at seemingly random (although I will admit I am no expert on what triggers it), but not often.

Are there diminishing returns on boss drops? I've started farming Meph, but after maybe 30 kills with a decent rate of getting uniques, I almost never see unique drops now. Basically I've gone from about 230 mf to 330 and my unique drop rate has plummeted in that time.
I like to put points into energy (just like 30 extra) early on to make things easier. Once you get some gear with mana and +skills it'll be better and then you can respec out of energy
lightning sorc requires decent equipment honestly. Otherwise she's a bit inferior in my opinion. And you just need a LOT of potions unfortunately. Not great without that.

Where are you finding the HRs? If I'm hearing correctly you found all this in a few weeks? I played D2 back in the day for 1000s of hours and found maybe 3 HRs ever
I've started playing D2 about 2 weeks ago and I don't really know how to get past these annoying snakes in the temple in act 2 hell. I'm playing as sorc with blizz and they are cold immune, also my cast rate is not very impresive so I can't really tp to the end and grab that thing for the quest. Can someone give me a hint what to do?
I guess I need to farm andariel a bit more. I have a spectral shard with 50fcr but it's still not enough. These snakes start to charge at me as soon as I show up near them.
Enough strength with gear to wear what you want to wear (I want 156 to wear my spirit shield). Enough dext for items (usually none additional required). Rest vitality OR energy depending if you're running energy shield or not.
you can check item levels and then area levels using google. If the item level is greater than the area level, it can't drop there. The only exception to remember is that bosses and their minions get +3 to their lvl so for example a boss in the ancient tunnels (alvl 85) is mlvl88 and can drop every item.
do you know if there is any guide on how to make it work? i bought the game from the battle.net store and apparantly the newest patch don't work with it.. do you have any suggestion on how to get the right version and or how to extract the files to the game to make it work? never used modds on d2 before but since i don't want to play multiplayer i kind of need the space and the bonus of being able to get annihilus quests in single player is a strong motivation to modd the game... please help a modd newb if possible.
Since when the stash is that huge? I haven't played the game for years, started a game a few days before in Single Player and the stash is still as tiny as earlier. Have they increased stash size for battle.net with a patch?
in main windows --> right click --> creen resolution --> advance settings --> Graphics Media Accelerator --> Graphics Properties --> Scaling --> full screen. try that!

It depends where you find it. A crystal sword found in normal cows will roll 4os!

how long did it take you to find so many high runes like that? I've been playing for 3-4 months but not even get close to Call to Arm

Sure you can upgrade to high runes. You don't need plugy for that

I think you could run andy/meph with 200MF for a bit to get some better gear, but yes you'll wanna go back to LK for those HRs

it's POSSIBLE but I don't like CL that much as a secondary. I prefer fire. Lightning damage usually requires too many skills/items

SoJ sale counter starts at a random value each session, and ticks up randomly. Sometimes Uber Diablo just spawns at seemingly random (although I will admit I am no expert on what triggers it), but not often.

lower kurast runs can actually be great for finding charms. Otherwise, just kill stuff and do cow runs and such!

plugy mod. Comes with stash, skill reset, ability to do ubers/dclone, stat reset/adjustments, and a couple other things

Yes sometimes. Depends what I wanna do that stream.
Are there diminishing returns on boss drops? I've started farming Meph, but after maybe 30 kills with a decent rate of getting uniques, I almost never see unique drops now. Basically I've gone from about 230 mf to 330 and my unique drop rate has plummeted in that time.
diminishing returns is real but 330 will have more than 230 still. 30 is a small sample size. RNG is real :)

When is the turn point for me when all my mana is just gone in 5 teleports?? Its very frustrating.
I like to put points into energy (just like 30 extra) early on to make things easier. Once you get some gear with mana and +skills it'll be better and then you can respec out of energy

It is, I have every set item and about half the uniques. But it really helps the pack rats like me.
i wish there was a mod or update that would introduce a whole bunch of new unique and set items.
There are... but it changes the game alot, google diablo2 mods or what ever.

lightning sorc requires decent equipment honestly. Otherwise she's a bit inferior in my opinion. And you just need a LOT of potions unfortunately. Not great without that.

No it does not I have chain lightning sorcerer just max chain lightning after it's maxed you can throw away your armour except for weapon

Where are you finding the HRs? If I'm hearing correctly you found all this in a few weeks? I played D2 back in the day for 1000s of hours and found maybe 3 HRs ever

I've started playing D2 about 2 weeks ago and I don't really know how to get past these annoying snakes in the temple in act 2 hell. I'm playing as sorc with blizz and they are cold immune, also my cast rate is not very impresive so I can't really tp to the end and grab that thing for the quest. Can someone give me a hint what to do?
get your FCR up to 63fcr and then try a few times haha.
I guess I need to farm andariel a bit more. I have a spectral shard with 50fcr but it's still not enough. These snakes start to charge at me as soon as I show up near them.
Try to MF Andy/Mephisto in Nightmare with /players 8, there is a decent chance they will drop Magefist, 20% FCR boost easy, cheers!

Enough strength with gear to wear what you want to wear (I want 156 to wear my spirit shield). Enough dext for items (usually none additional required). Rest vitality OR energy depending if you're running energy shield or not.

Can i farm phase blades at nightmare cows? How do i even check what item bases drop where
you can check item levels and then area levels using google. If the item level is greater than the area level, it can't drop there. The only exception to remember is that bosses and their minions get +3 to their lvl so for example a boss in the ancient tunnels (alvl 85) is mlvl88 and can drop every item.

Since when the stash is that huge? I haven't played the game for years, started a game a few days before in Single Player and the stash is still as tiny as earlier. Have they increased stash size for battle.net with a patch?

I don't think you can revert that I know of. I think you just need to go install a 1.13c version of the game

Check your Compatibility Mode settings (XP Srv Pack 2, Disable Screen Resolution & Run as Administrator works for all .exe files).
